[Looking for help. We know this might not be an appropriate group to post this, however we sincerely look for help from members in this group. We are sorry if any inconvenience]

On Monday 9th May, we parked our car at Ang Mo Kio Ind park 1, near to block 4008 from morning 9am to evening 7:30pm.

At 7:30pm, after work, we went to take our car and realized someone hit it (please see pictures of the damage).

No note or message was left hence we don’t know when it happened, how it happened and who did it.

We quickly reported to police and they came to take photos, wrote down incident card as well as took memory card of our car’s camera.

Unfortunately we do not have any footage on hand as the police already took the memory card before we could check the camera again.

We have not heard from police till now and our insurance unfortunately need to find the culprit then only can settle.

Thus, we are here to look for any witness of the incident, either by eyes or on camera of your car. Any help is appreciated!

To the person who did it: If you are able to read this, please contact/pm us.

We could handle the case politely. We believe this is an accident that nobody intends to do, hence we could talk and solve it internally.

While travelling is coming back as a normal thing, the usual tourist traps are also coming back as well.

A Malaysian who just returned to Johor via the first linkway encountered a Taxi driver who wanted to charge her 3 times the amount for a ride that would usually cost around RM20.

She posted on a Facebook group which has garnered over 500 shares with the following messages:

Please don’t choose a taxi that stops outside JB CIQ to wait for customers

From CIQ to Taman Johor, dare to drive to RM60, which is the fare for three taxis 😱😱😱 The price to go to other places can also be imagined 😫😫😫

Singapore and Malaysia are only open to making money. It’s not too much! This rat ruining other hard-working taxi drivers is too much!

Tourist Traps

We hardly hear things like this in Singapore. We normally hear such things in Malaysia and Thailand where we would have to ask if the Taxi was going by the meter.

The fire broke out around 1.30 a.m. at a coffee shop in Serangoon, according to the TikTok user.

The incident reportedly occurred at 261 Serangoon Central Drive

One individual was sent to the hospital due to smoke inhalation.

An SCDF official said that they were notified of the incident about 1.20 a.m. on Saturday (14 May).

The resident in the video said:

“Honestly quite scary because it’s super close to my unit. Woke up to flames + smoke + shouting. Just hope that the mala store person is ok!!!”

The fire was seen burning up towards level 3 of the block.

The Ministry of Sustainability and Environment (MSE) said on 13 May that 6 people who were not fully vaccinated, have been caught dining at hawker centres, and will each be fined $300, according to CNA.

Random spot checks were conducted at some F&B outlets between 26 April to 9 May for the diners’ vaccination status.

The National Environment Agency and Singapore Food Agency deployed enforcement officers to conduct more than 20,000 selective spot checks at the establishments during that period.

More than 1,450 checks were done each day at just those two venues.

The diners are supposed to show their vaccination status on the TraceTogether app or scan their token when the officers approach them for spot checks.

Non-fully vaccinated persons are not allowed to dine in at hawker centres and coffeeshops, although VDS has since been removed from April 26 – except for F&B outlets, nightlife establishments where there is dancing, and events with more than 500 participants.
