LORRY DRIVER FELL ASLEEP CAUSING ACCIDENT, ROTI PRATA STORY LATER ON

APPEAL FOR WITNESS

Would like to appeal for dash cam footage or witness for an accident last Sunday 3 Apr, 10:45am, on SLE westbound towards Lentor Ave exit.

I was in the red car driving on the left most lane preparing to exit via Lentor Ave when suddenly I saw the lorry appeared very close up in my side mirror. Within the next second, the lorry crashed into my right rear passenger door resulting in both right doors to be badly damaged and stuck closed.

After the driver alighted, he apologised saying he had fallen asleep on the wheel as he had worked night shift the day before. He offered to privately settle the accident saying he would only pay for the damages to my car. I refused as my wife had hit her head on the window and was feeling unwell.

Being unfamiliar with such situations, I took down the party’s details and said I will settle it through the proper channel via my insurance and allowed the lorry to leave. I then brought my wife and 4yo kid to the hospital to seek medical attention.

The next day I brought my car to the accident reporting centre, and when the staff called up the driver, he changed the story and claimed that my car had cut into his lane.

Greatly appreciate any advice and assistance. Thank you.

LANDLADY SNATCH TENANT PHONE & ACCUSED HIM OF MOLEST AND PUNCHING HER

Renting a home is a common transaction in Singapore but sometimes disagreements can lead to a lot of problems until the Police had to get involved.

Facebook User Terrance Tham posted information and videos against the landlady

I need the help from the internet,

Any advice as we are going to take Legal action against our landlord Miss Chung mee yoke as we want back our partial deposit.

Update: we will need to know what is her address to submit a small claim anyone know where she stay please help

Story:

We found this apartment on Carousell and was referred by agent Daniel Soh, when we went for a house visit she claimed to be the landlord and we will be dealing with her

When we moved in on 3rd April to our surprise the aircon was not working but was not told to us even though she had prepared the unit on 2 April.

We ask other tenants and apparently it has been broken for over 2 months and she had been finding cheap ways to fix it. It was only now she decided to replace the whole unit aircon

Originally she informed that Aircon will be fixed on 21 April, then suddenly on the 7 April.

Sadly when she came she made a scene and took the contract & condo key from my wife and ask us to shift out immediately or pay $100 for the key she just took from us If we wanted to continue staying. Wife called and had to rush down from work.

We had already deposited $1000 and remaining $1600 and $600 if everything was agreeable it had only been 5 days. Certainly this was bs

2 police calls had to be made as she started to take our items and putting it outside. The first police report was made due to chasing us out and if we did not move today she treated to throw our items when we are not around

The next police report was made after when she suddenly accuse us for taking a cabinet Handel. When she asked me I told her I didn’t know and we will speak in court. Throughout this time she had been insulting me and my wife. Suddenly she went to our things and started searching clearly I had to stop her and this resulted in her being aggressive

I took a video of her to get evidence of her accusing us of stealing the handle then She suddenly tried to snatch my phone but could not and then punch me out of rage and started saying I tried to push and molest her

edit:

We are looking for a place to rent either central to the east side region, aircon is a must and can do light cooking, if you have a room you wanna rent do dm me currently crashing at my parent’s place

PLUS SIZED GUY ASKS IF PLUS SIZED WOMEN STILL DATES THEM

A guy who is on the bigger side took to social media to ask if there are still women on the bigger side who will be willing to date a plus sized guy nowadays.

He shares that he weighs almost 100kg and is about 1.75metres tall and is finding it harder to find a woman who is willing to date him nowadays.

Here is the story

“I’ve always been more attracted to women who are on the heavier side. Fat, chubby, “a little extra”, curvy, voluptuous. And definitely not just the socially acceptable kind of big where if there is fat anywhere other than the bosoms or bottom, she’s a no-go.

I’ve been finding it incredibly hard to find women who will date me because of my weight (100kg, 1.75m), even when I’m trying to find women of the same or even bigger weight.

Everywhere I see any kind of fat acceptable, it’s only for women. I never see a fat man just dating a normal-sized person or even a fat man dating a fat woman. Thin women date thin men, and fat women date thin men.

So where so I fit in? Do I really have to be under 100kg to date someone who is at or above 100kg?”

What netizens think

  • It depends on the person. I’m fat. I was skinnier when I was dating, but still probably small fat. I’ve been attracted to a range of bodies, but I am generally less attracted to fat men. I guess it makes me a hypocrite…. But I am also a single parent who would prefer to date someone who doesn’t have kids, so I’m a hypocrite all over the place. However, I wouldn’t automatically say no to someone because they are chubby, that’s just stupid.
  • Women get a lot of guys who are willing to act interested for the sake of having relations with them. This gives the perception that they have a lot of options, which isn’t true if they are actually looking for a relationship but I suppose it’s hard to see that when you are in the moment, hence the prerequisites. The answer is do you actually want to date women who are like this? Ironically I think for most guys the answer is no.

GIRL SICK OF HOOK UP CULTURE & ONLINE DATING

0

A anonymous female took to social media to complain that she is sick of the reality of online dating and the hook up culture that follows after online dating.

Here is what she said

“So many people these days are just looking for casual hook ups and want ‘no strings attached’… Like what does that even mean? It sounds so corny. I think people that are only looking for hookups are shallow who have a hard time being open with themselves and others, I say this because I have seen and heard this for myself from guys that they have trust issues.

It’s hard to find someone on dating apps, even in real life who actually has a personality to them outside of having relations with anyone they just can. I am not satisfied nor okay with being perceived as somebody who will give just give up their body and them self in exchange for nothing.

The amount of guys that ask me if I want to have a ‘smoke and f-’ in their car or even in public is crazy, so out of this I increase my likelihood of getting addicted to nicotine and having relations in public like a wild animal, yeah no I’m good thanks.

I also do not see myself worth a few sticks of cigarettes.

I am not saying you cannot have relations with someone you’re not in a relationship with but I do not like the idea of having relations with someone if there is no romantic or emotional connection, it would feel extremely superficial and as if I am giving up everything on the spot.

I know that I am a human who is unique and has beauty not only on the outside but within for someone to discover and bond with.

I honestly wish more people thought like this about them self, I feel as if so many people these days let their self-esteem and worth get approved by broken guys who see them as nothing more but a fling.”

NETIZEN COMPLAINS REVIEWS SECTION OF UNIQLO WEBSITE IS ‘KELONG’

A netizen took to social media to allege that the review section of Uniqlo Singapore’s website page has flaws and it is not accurate.

The netizen had wanted to leave a review on a pants that was purchased some time back to say that the pockets were too shallow which resulted in the netizen losing their keys as it had dropped out from the pocket.

However when the netizen selected one star, the netizen claims that the website did not accept the review and said that there is an error.

The netizen then tried changing to two stars and got the same result.

Afterwards, the netizen tried to change it to five stars and said that the website immediately accepted the review and said that the review is ‘pending review’.

Here is the post by the netizen

“I want to highlight to all the Uniqlo Singapore website review is d- kelong. I tried to submit a 1 star review for a pants that I bought.

The pockets were made too shallow and I lost my keys in them. Fell out of the pocket. But the website did no accept the review but say the site is experiencing error. 2 star also the same.

Change to 5 star the website immediately accept and pending review. It’s unlikely it will go thru (cos text is still negative).

So don’t believe everything you see under review.”

Here are what netizens have to say

  • All mktg website will show complements but will auto delete bad complaints about their prdts! So sometimes I doubt on reviews shared as bad complaints maybe deleted too
  • It’s funny that ppl lost things and blame it on the design of the item they are using. If it’s shallow then don’t put things inside. It might be just a design. Like some pants got pattern like pocket but infact u can’t use it. It’s just a design. Go figure it out. Simple logic. Don’t blame on the design but blame it on how the person use it.
  • Sometimes departmental stores like BHG, OG, Takashimaya, ISETAN, still have it’s benefits. Sure they aren’t the cheapest, but you can go there and try and ask for recommendations if it’s a product category you’re not as experienced with.

CYNTHIA KOH TRYING TO FIND CULPRIT WHO VANDALISED HER MERCEDES

0

Singaporean actress Cynthia Koh shared on her Instagram that her Red Mercedes was vandalised and is now going all out to find out who is the culprit that did it to her vehicle.

She shared that she had parked her car in a private housing estate on 6 Apr between 2pm and 6pm and returned to find that her vehicle had been a recipient of some deep scratching and also had a punctured tyre.

Seeing this, she tried to fix her vehicle by herself by driving it to the nearest petrol station to pump air into it but around 10.30pm, she said that she was unable to drive the car anymore and had to call for the services of a tow truck.

She further mentioned that at that point of time, she was on the verge of crying.

Took car to workshop

Koh also took her car to be repaired the following day and was told that the scratches that were inflicted to her vehicle were too deep and were unable to be polished off.

As a result, she had to spend more money on repainting the car.

As for her tyre replacement, Koh said that she spent $220 on it and with repainting works still needed to be done, the total cost of the repair will not come cheap.

Will not let go of matter

Koh also mentioned that she will pursue the matter and will not let it go that easily, saying that it is not about the car.

She added:

““It’s about how sickening these people can be to think it’s okay to do this to others. If you can do this, I’m sure you can face the consequences.”

She then sent a message out, hoping that it will reach the culprit and said that she is still open for a private settlement.

However, she said that if the culprit does not reach out to her, she will hand the case over to the Police for investigations and also will make it into a court case.
