A video emerged online showing a man trapped inside his own house after his front gate’s lock breaks.
He then made the curious decision to email HDB for help, expecting them to read his email and send a repair man; on a Sunday.
Here is what he said:
“I am trapped in my house had to get my neighbor to help me earlier on already email to HDB to send repair man but no one came till today cannot get out!”
From the look of the sofa can tell what type of person who own that sofa, snob , lazy , dirty, bo chap.
But Bo chap can land you a hefty fine, SCDF takes it seriously when large items are placed at fire escapes. This sofa was blocked in a staircase
Fines
First-time offenders may be fined up to $5,000, while repeat offenders face a maximum fine of $10,000 and/or up to six months in jail
The netizen who posted the photo said:
“Posing a deadly risk if there’s a fire hazard. Been 2 days despite a gentle note of reminder by a kind neighbour and still no action taken.”
What to do when you need to remove large items?
There are several options when one needs to remove large furniture. One of them is calling a disposal company it is relatively cheap and they normally comes quite quick.
The other way is contacting the town council for help but there is a queue.
A man was spotted shaving his dog on a sidewalk and a woman approached the man and told him not to litter in public.
In the first video, the man claimed that he would clean it up but it seems that he has no tools to clean up at all. The woman then left the place but the story does not end here.

Say he will clean but BS
But moments later, the man was seen in a 2nd video sweeping the fur with his foot into the grass.
Under the Environmental Public Health Act (EPHA), the maximum fine for a littering offence is $2,000 for the first court conviction, $4,000 for the second conviction, and $10,000 for the third and subsequent convictions.
Less than two weeks after purchasing mooncakes from Imperial Treasure. Spot the mould. Bought 12 in total. Have already gifted some.
It’s not even Mooncake festival and they’re spoilt. Also ordered the taro yam mooncakes. They did not taste fresh. Related the incident to their customer service and all I received was “we can assure you it’s fresh”.
I binned one taro mooncake and returning the rest to them tomorrow. Think twice if you’re considering ordering from Imperial Treasure. Not made fresh and most likely these were prepared way, way in advance.
First time I have mold on my mooncakes and I purchase them every year.
A man shared his frustrations online about paying for a credit card.
Here is his story:
Does anyone know how to request for annual fee waiver on credit card which has already been CANCELLED?I had a POSB cc which was never used in the last year, $0 spending on it.
Annual fee come in on that card, I applied for waiver and also requested to cancel it therafter citing reason being that there is annual fee and I don’t use it anyway (I have another older active POSB card I use often and pay up on time anyway)
Posb cancelled the card alright, but DID NOT WAIVE THE FEES. Like why is POSB eating money when they have cancelled the card? POSB gets $200+ just because a customer holds onto this plastic card but never once utilised it?
I get that it’s like “service fee” and it was my choice not to use it etc, but I’d been using the other active POSB card for the longest time ever, 15 yrs or more. POSB used to be very humane and approved such annual fee waivers quite readily (is not late payment fee or finance fee.. never owed the bank any money).
Nowadays economy is bad until POSB has to cheat us of our hard-earned money in form of annual fee? Some more it’s soooo hard to reach any posb agents due to the top used reason “covid”. I guess covid spoilt all electronic communication devices in posb such that customer service team cannot work from home too?Anyone experienced similar case and could appeal for annual fee waiver again? It’s $200+ not $20+, quite a big sum for a small fry worker like me. It’s like 2 weeks worth of groceries/ half a month of subsidised childcare fees
Editor’s notes:
Car park in car park never use, need pay insurance and road tax anot? Should have cancelled it earlier.
