A photo emerged online showing a large group of people gathering at a basketball court.

They were seen in multiple groups of more than 5.

The incident happened at Block 394, Yishun Avenue 6 on 3 September at around 8pm.

First-time offenders who breach safe distancing measures are fined $300.

For non-compliance with safe management measures under the COVID-19 offenders may be jailed for up to six months, fined up to S$10,000, or both.

If they are caught by the Police for not wearing a mask or not wearing a mask properly they can be charged under the Covid-19 (Temporary Measures) (Control Order) Regulations 2020.

Penalties include a fine of up to SGD$10,000 and jailed for up to six months.

HDB VOID DECK FLOODED FROM RAIN, TURN INTO “FOUNTAIN OF WEALTH”

Water could be seen gushing out from the longkang, flooding the entire floor area.

VICTIMS LOST OVER SGD$140,000 AFTER FALLING PREY TO DELIVERY SCAMS

Non-banking phishing schemes including faked e-mails, text messages, and fraudulent advertising pertaining to parcel delivery and inexpensive offers have continued to rise, according to the police. Since August 2021, more than 93 people have been scammed, resulting in losses of at least $140,000.

Spoofed emails or text messages purporting to be from delivery firms such as SingPost and DHL will be sent to the victims of such phishing schemes. The victims would generally be prompted to check on the status of their parcel delivery by clicking on the URL contained in the phishing emails and text messages. Pop-up adverts promoting inexpensive food and home products were sometimes displayed to the victims.

Victims would be led to fraudulent websites after clicking on the adverts or links, where they would be asked to give their credit/debit card information as well as a One-Time Password (OTP).

How to avoid? Here is what the Police advise:

Members of the public are advised to adopt the following crime prevention measures:

  1. Do not click on links provided in unsolicited emails and text messages.

  2. If the price is too good to be true, it probably is. Purchase only from reputable sources, especially for high-value items.

  3. Always verify the authenticity of the information with the official website or sources.

  4. Contact your card issuing bank immediately if you receive an OTP and did not make any online transactions.

  5. Always verify the merchant details indicated in the OTP text message/notification before providing your OTP. Do not key or input your OTP on any payment pages if you are not making
  6. the transaction.

  7. Never disclose your personal or Internet banking details and OTP to anyone.

  8. Report any fraudulent credit/debit card charges to your bank and cancel your card immediatel

SECRET PUB AT SERANGOON GARDEN CAUGHT WITH 15 PEOPLE

Under the COVID-19 (Temporary Requirements) (Control Order) Regulations 2020, the police are investigating 15 people aged 21 to 30 for suspected non-compliance with safe distance measures.

On June 23, 2020, at around 2.25 a.m., the Police got a report that individuals were entering and departing a pub on Serangoon Garden Way. Officers came to find 15 people reportedly congregating in the tavern.

Used as private gathering

The pub was not in operation at the time and was allegedly utilized for a private gathering amongst the 15 people.

An individual must not gather with any other individual outside of the individual’s ordinary place of residence for a purpose that is not performing work in a cohort of more than five people, according to Regulation 6(1) of the COVID-19 (Temporary Measures) (Control Order) Regulations 2020 on the prohibition of social gatherings.

Thirteen persons, aged between 21 and 30, will be charged in court on 6 September 2021 with Regulation 6(1) of the COVID-19 (Temporary Measures) (Control Order) Regulations 2020, which is an offence punishable under Section 34(7)(a) of the COVID-19 (Temporary Measures) Act 2020. The offence carries a fine not exceeding $10,000, an imprisonment term not exceeding six months, or both.

Investigations into the remaining two persons, aged 26 and 30, are ongoing.

A photo emerged online showing a group of young punks gathering in a huge group of 11, more than the 5 pax allowed under current safe management measures.

They were seen drinking on a bridge at Clark Quay as bottles of Sojus and some mixers could be seen in the photo.

One of the YPs was seen wearing a dress, for god knows what reason.

YOUNG CYCLIST RIDES IN MIDDLE OF ROAD WITH NO BRAKES OR LIGHTS @ PUNGGOL

There is always a risk when cycling on the road, the 3 youngsters decided that dressing in full black and removing reflective lights and brakes will them cooler.

The netizen who filmed the youngsters said:

Saw multiple times, young kids cycling along Punggol Dr after 10 pm with no safety gadgets and not abiding safety rules on the road.

Lack of support from LTA to patrol the area at that timing and dangerous behaviour from cyclists can cause serious consequences. Hope something can be done.
