M’SIA FUNERAL COMPANY USES FUNERAL VAN TO DUMP RUBBISH AT NIGHT

A Malaysian funeral van company based in Kuala Lumpur, SWCorp Wilayah Persekutuan, had used their funeral van as a garbage collection vehicle at night to dump solid waste.

The act was discovered after they were caught on CCTV at a back alley at Jalan Metro Perdana Timur 10 on 22 November.

The van was then raised by the company’s operation officers, and the company subsequently posted an announcement on their Facebook.

They said that they have identified the vehicle that was used by the suspects when they were dumping the solid waste.

The van has also since been confiscated, pending further investigations.

A motorcyclist shared an incident that happened on the road when a cyclist suddenly cut across him dangerously on the road and almost caused an accident.

Here is his story:

“Was approaching the filter to expressway when this cyclist suddenly rode alongside and decided to cut in-front to cross the road.

Not forgetting that vehicles can be also approaching from motorcyclist right-hand lane, which can hit bicyclists.

Rather the bicyclist should have used the crossing just ahead.

Under the RTA, it is an offence to NOT use a crossing within 50 meters of a junction or zebra crossing available.

Happened on 01/12/21 @ 1500hrs, Paya Lebar Road towards PIE Changi.”

People would want to buy a quality product. It would have been good if the kiwi are put in open boxes so people could choose and select the best.

It’s similar to the oranges or tomatoes being sold in open. In the olden days, it’s the same practice. These days packaging in boxes and not taking care to remove the spoiled ones in the boxes is leading to such checking. As a buyer, I want quality for the money I pay to avoid spoiled ones.

As a seller, I should ensure to keep my product on top quality checks very frequently before/during/after packing.

I do see some box being sealed but guess what? The aunties can even press the fruit from outside. Seem like this folk just love seeing us getting all the rotten fruits. They love seeing us get upset with our purchase. When I stay in Japan at every station there will be someone to standby to assist the customs (keep on eye).

In Japan, we rarely see customers doing this but of course, once in a while, you did see one in a hundred doing that.

In Singapore it is so common.

“My colleague recently expressed her adoration for me as she told me she has fallen for me. It may be because I’ve been super nice at showing her the ropes at work…

She is 25 while I’m 38.

However, the thing is I’m already married with 2 kids and I still love my family. The s– with my wife is still great, even though she had given me 2 kids.

But sometimes can’t help but think with my little head and feel that perhaps I can arrange something with my colleague on FWB basis so no one finds out and gets hurt.

She is young, not say very pretty, GND type and great body, comparable traits to my wife.

However, I wouldn’t want to wreck my family, as I knew my colleague is young and easily swayed, she seems like the kind who will definitely want more out of the FWB situation and can never keep it discreet.

TRUCK’S REAR CARGO DOOR BREAKS AND FALLS OFF ON TPE, HITS CAR BEHIND

A video emerged online showing the rear cargo door of a heavy truck breaking and flying off on the expressway and hitting a car that was behind it.

The incident happened on 4 December at around 1.46pm, on the TPE heading towards Changi.

The truck was seen driving on the road without any issues when the door suddenly broke and flew off, and a huge mist of sand rose from the truck into the air.

The door then struck a white car that was behind it on a different lane, as the camcar came to an abrupt halt because the door had landed right in front of it.

The camcar driver shared the video and captioned it:

“Hope the occupants in the car are unhurt. Hopefully, this video will assist the car driver with their insurance claim against the truck.”

MOM: MIGRANT WORKERS WHO WILL BE STAYING IN DORMS CAN’T ENTER S’PORE VIA VTL

The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) said in a press release on 4 December that migrant workers who will be staying in dormitories will now not be allowed to apply to enter Singapore via the Vaccinated Travel Lanes (VTLs).

The new ruling kicked in earlier today on 5 December and it applies to all S-PAss and work permit holders who are (will be) working in the Construction, Marine Shipyard, and Process (CMP) industries.

Essentially, what it means is that as long as the work pass holder is going to be staying in a dormitory, they will not be allowed to enter with the VTLs.

However, with that being said, those who have already gotten approval to enter Singapore before 5 December, will still be allowed to enter provided they take a Covid-19 test upon their arrival, and go through a 5-day onboarding programme after they test negative.

MOM also noted that there are still other avenues for the workers to enter apart from the VTL, such as the Work Pass Holder General Lane, where they must have a pass that was granted by MOM.

Another way of entry is by ongoing industry initiatives that included programmes that test and isolates them in their home country.

SEMERU VOLCANO ERUPTS IN INDONESIA, 13 KILLED AND DOZENS INJURED

Mount Semeru in Indonesia erupted on 4 December, for the second time in 2021, leaving dozens of people injured and at least 13 dead, with the death toll still rising.

Two of the 13 who were confirmed killed have since been identified, while 98 persons have been injured, including 2 women who were pregnant. A total of about 902 people have been evacuated, according to Indonesia’s disaster mitigation agency.

Ten people who are miners were also trapped before being rescued and evacuated to safety.

Ash and hot clouds rose over the villages in East Java as the villagers fled in panic, with a strategic bridge that connects the district of Lumajan and the city of Majang being destroyed by the eruption.

Videos of the eruption also emerged online showing thick grey clouds rising above and enveloping a nearby village as the villagers fled for their lives.

HALIMAH YACOB TELLS KING OF M’SIA THAT M’SIAN DEATH ROW INMATE ACCORDED FULL DUE PROCESS

A spokesperson from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Singapore said on 3 December that Singapore President Halimah Yacob replied to the King of Malaysia, Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, that the Malaysian man Nagaenthran A/L K Dharmalingam, who is on death row in Singapore for drug offences, has been accorded the full due process of the law.

Malaysia’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Kamarudin Jaffar, said in the Malaysian parliament that the King had written to President Halimah Yacob to appeal for clemency for the death row inmate, according to Free Malaysia Today.

Kamarudin shared in parliament that “We tried all we could to help, and I can reveal that apart from the foreign minister and the prime minister, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong had also written to the Singapore president for the sentence to be reduced for a certain case, or the individual to be freed.”

Malaysian Prime Minister also wrong to Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong to seek leniency for the death row inmate Nagaenthran, according to a report by Bernama on 7 November.

The Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs also said in a press release on 123 November that both PM Lee and minister of foreign affairs Vivian Balakrishnan have replied to their Malaysian counterparts that the inmate was accorded full due process under the law.
