TOYOTA HIACE SPEEDS & DOESN’T KEEP DISTANCE, REAR ENDS VIOS & AUDI

A video was seen on social media of a reckless driving incident which happened on 11 Nov 2021 at around 1626 hours.

A Toyota Hiace bearing the vehicle plate number GBD4579M was seen driving at lane 2 of the expressway and failing to keep the required two car lengths distance, especially when the traffic was heavy and already seen slowing down.

The Hiace is also believed to have been speeding as seen in the video.

It resulted in the Hiace rear ending a Toyota Vios in turn, rear ended the Audi in front of it due to the impact from the initial knock by the Hiace.

As a result of the collision, the Toyota Vios could be seen going out of control as it swerved and moved towards the left which was followed by a ‘bang’.

A quick search online on motorist.sg states that ‘usually 1st lane is used for overtaking and emergency vehicles. But it’s recommended for the vans/commercial vehicles to use 3rd lane or in other cases, 2nd lane as long as they don’t hog the traffic.’

57 year old P Asokan Pappu Pachan, was sentenced to 10 months and four weeks of imprisonment today (12 Nov) for charges of sending a 15 year old girl adult films on messaging platform Telegram as well as using a toy on him.

According to CNA, two more charges of being in possession of adult films and for penetrating a minor were taken into consideration during his sentencing.

The incident

Asokan befriended the girl on a chatting application and then asked her if she was willing to provide him ‘services’ in exchange for monetary benefits.

They shifted their conversation to Telegram thereafter where things got more intense as Asokan offered her a sum of $250 to use a toy on him.

On Sep 1 2020, they tried to enter two hotels but was rejected as the girl could not present her NRIC.

The girl then suggested going to his house to do the activities, and he agreed.

They went to his house separately, with the girl taking a Grab and Asokan riding his bike.

They engaged in their adult activities at Asokan’s home with the toy being included in the activities and once they were done, Asokan paid her $250 before she left.

She reported the incident to the Police after leaving his place.

Asokan was allowed by the judge to begin his jail term in December to serve out his notice period at work and settle matters related to his property as he resides alone.
