Yesterday, the COVID-19 task force announced the new dine-in rules but it requires a person to prove to the employee of the restaurant that he or she is vaccinated.
In response to media questions: Lawrence Wong said that once one can use their mobile phone the TraceTogether app will display the vaccination status of the individual.
However, in the comments section of Facebook, one man stated that a person could be using the mobile phone of another to “bluff” the service staff.
One can only imagine when an F&B staff is receiving customers at a busy restaurant, the staff would most likely take a quick glimpse of the vaccination status.
Other netizens even stated that a friend could take a screenshot and send it to others and showed it quickly to the F&B staff and distract the staff with some questions after showing the picture.

A netizen shared a disturbing incident where a disabled man with down syndrome had his sandals vandalised by a heartless person.
The straps at the back of his sandals were found to be cut.
The netizen also shared how some people in the neighbourhood regularly bully the poor man, and wants to bring awareness to his plight, as well as others like him.
Here is the story:
“This picture shows the straps of a sandal which was deliberately cut.
I reached my void deck around 11PM, and met the Father of an adult man (I’ll call him B) with #DownSyndrome, on the more severe end of the #spectrum, and non-verbal. I chat with the Father, he doesn’t remember me but I’ve chatted with him before.
B often hangs out at my void deck. Father is there to coax his son to return home, which is one block away from mine. Father isn’t able to stay with him for now due to certain complexities.
I’ve known B for many years since I moved into Sin Ming Court. Sometimes, neighbours and I would buy food or drinks for him as he often wanders the neighborhood, and in recent months started sleeping overnight at my void deck even.
There are possibly valid reasons why B doesn’t head home. Residents who’ve lived in Sin Ming Court for decades know him and why. But because of his severe #Psoriasis, perhaps newer residents or visitors to the neighborhood – even children – are thought to have bullied him.
And in this instance, someone cut the straps of his sandals. And Father reveals to me that over recent years, B has been bullied in the neighbourhood. His lanyard which contains his special needs or bus passes would go missing, his spectacles would often be broken, and other belongings would go missing. Some people repeatedly call the police on him.
It’s sad and and an #outrage that people would do this to him. He’s timid and gentle, and won’t fight back. And he has poor vision, so breaking his glasses makes it difficult for him to navigate.
(Edit: please don’t come down and look for him, but if you do know people like him who are vulnerable, please consider speaking up on their behalf of they can’t. They need support and understanding, and not bullying or insistence of structural assistance.)”
A woman shared her story that her husband is smart and is able to have an income despite doing almost no work. There is this saying “when you are having a good life, but takes it for granted”.
Many people out there can’t even afford a decent meal but the woman is complaining about her husband for having much free time and income for her.
Here is the story:
“Does anyone feel anxiety when their husband isn’t doing anything? My husband has his own business but most of the time it runs itself pretty well.
He makes a lot of money, although he doesn’t look like he’s doing much at all. When stuff happens he has to attend to them but that doesn’t occur very often.
On the other hand, I work long hours but I don’t make very much. It really bothers me that most of the time he has a lot of free time.
Is it just me or do girls, in general, want to see that their husbands look busy with something.”
Moral of the story:
People will never be contented, just do whatever you want.
A post has been going viral on Instagram after a woman witnessed a man groping the breast of two women at Orchard road one after the other.
The witness ran after the man and took his photo.
The post also stated that no one offered to help.
Here is what she said:
“We were all waiting to cross the junction between Paragon and Taka. The first victim, he he grabbed her breast out of nowhere! I saw everything behind her and shouted at him. Guess what, nobody else said anything. Then he crossed the road while it was still green for cars creating a distance.”
A student posted a post online stating that school fees should be lowered during this period as they are not physically in school, therefore, lowering the cost of operating the school.
Here is the story:
OK someone needs to start holding the university/administration/governments accountable. WHY. ARE. WE. STILL. PAYING. FULL SCHOOL FEES. WHEN WE ARE NOT IN SCHOOL PHYSICALLY??????
That money should back to us for rebates as the household utilities have increased. WHY. IS. NO. MP. DOING. ANYTHING. cc: CHAN CHUN SING. At the bare minimum, we should not have to pay misc. fees, exam fees.
They don’t have to switch on the aircon/lights, they don’t need to do so much maintenance/ cleaning staff. These should be backdated(Mar 2019) and paid to the students or a rebate should be given for subsequent semesters. If there is already a change.org please link it down below.
Where are the student unions? Where are the 5-figure executives who are in charge of student ‘welfare’?
Because my wallet and my family’s wallet is very VERY UNWELL.
