The netizen apparently seems to be missing Singapore a little, and decided to do an impression of our Merlion by sticking a fish into a bowl of rice and placing it in a position nicely to let the fish look like it is spitting out water just like our merlion.
We hope that this netizen can get their wish to visit Singapore soon.

A video has recently emerged on Tiktok of a lady, presumably a domestic helper, donning the SAF no.4 uniform and filming herself in front of the camera.
She first appears in the video adjusting the no.4 pants, before walking towards the camera adjusting the collar and the sleeves at the same time.
The formation patch on the uniform is from the Guards formation which means that the owner of the set of uniform might be serving in the Guards formation.
We wonder if she will get her boy boy into trouble.

The Ministry of Health (MOH), has said that Singapore’s 39th person that has succumbed to the Covid-19 virus is a 58 year old woman.
The woman, who was given Case ID (66894), passed away on 2nd August 2021.
She did not receive any doses of the Covid-19 vaccine and does not have any underlying health condition.
She lives in the same household as a positive case who visited Samy’s Curry Restaurant.
She was confirmed to have Covid-19 on 29th July 2021.
The cluster at Samy’s Curry Restaurant had earlier been identified on 24th July 2021 and has 55 infections as of today.

A recent post on facebook is showing a man riding on his bicycle with his rooster perched on his shoulder.
Netizens that live near the area says that the man does this every other day without fail.
Based on this picture, we think that the man can control his “chicken” very well as it behaves every time it is out with the man.

A post recently appeared on Facebook showing a guy’s introduction to a girl on an unknown social dating app.
In the introduction, the guy appears to hint the girl that he is into hardcore as he mentions that he is “more of those hardcore guy” and that he is someone that “come very hard” on himself.
Geddit? He comes very hard on himself.

Recently, a girl shared on Facebook about her ordeal with the Foodpanda Help Center.
The girl had initially ordered a packet of rice with a set of dried chilli live frog, but the restaurant called her to say that they have ran out of frogs for her frog porridge.
The restaurant told the girl that they are unable to offer any refund but can do a small portion for her.
However, the smaller portion won’t be enough for her to share with her family, so she decided to ask Foodpanda to help her to cancel the order.
Foodpanda however, does not seem to be listening to the girl as seen in the conversation. They seem to only be interested in brushing the girl off and closing the case.
They told the girl that since something (the rice) is being delivered, they cannot cancel the order and the girl still has to pay for the rice.
The Customer service agent even told the girl that “we all have bad days” and “hope you are understanding this”

Food processing company, Teng Guan Food Industries was given a $15,000 fine on Wednesday, 4 August 2021.
This was due to severe hygiene lapses uncovered by the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) during their inspection of the storage and processing areas in October 1st last year.
The lapses committed by the company included poor maintenance practices inside the premises, improper storage of food and also for failure to ensure that the food are packed properly resulting in contamination.
SFA has said that all staff working in such companies should have proper training on food management practices as well as ensuring that the area is cleaned and well maintained regularly.
Enforcement action will definitely be taken against errant food operators and those that do not maintain the standards in food hygiene and safety requirements.
Those who flout the rules can be fined up to $5,000 and for repeat offenders, a fine of $100 a day or part thereof during the time where the offence continues after conviction.

An anonymous grab driver recently shared with us on how this COVID-19 pandemic has actually helped him make more than what he made previously before the pandemic.
Before the pandemic, he averages about $300 a day but with the current situation, the bare minimum he claims that he can hit is $600 a day.
Driver wakes up to send kids to school at around 6.45am in the morning, he then proceeds to buy his daily coffee and breakfast and has his meal and a cigarette.
He then starts his first job as a mobile swabber. He collects his deployment and swab test kits at around 8.30 am in the morning, and sets out to his first house to conduct the swab test.
He gets paid about $40-$55 per location he goes to, and an additional $15-$20 per head at the location where he conducts his swab.
He gets an average of about 10 sites a day, making him about $400-$550. This is done by 1.00pm to 2.00pm.
After his swab job, he ferries quarantined personnel from their home to their swab tests or to the Government Quarantine Facilities (GQF).
This pays him an average of $30/hour or $55 per trip, depending on the number of jobs he manages to bid.
At the end of the day after disinfecting his vehicle, he will do a few Grab/Gojek trips just to ensure that there is a sufficient amount of money for the rental companies to deduct the rent.
He claims to make an average of $600 a day if he is lazy, and he can make up to almost a $1000 a day if he is more hardworking and takes on more swab assignments or fetch more quarantined personnel.
He secretly hopes that this pandemic will last longer, so that he can make more money for himself and his family.
Another family member of Joseph Schooling, this time his cousin, @peiyenleong on instagram has wrote a post dedicated to his fighting spirit.
She reminds us also that behind all his triumphs and failures, he is also only human.
“What people see: a lost match, a failed mission to the nation, a disappointing minute, a chance to join the bandwagon and speak their two cents with mean disheartening comments.
What I see is a guy who had every possible obstacle thrown to him over the years and he faced them with a strong front and mind.

A video was uploaded on multiple social media sites after two elderly men were seen crossing the zebra crossing without stopping.
The man even held up his hand so that vehicle will notice him.
However, from the angle that the car approach he will not be able to see the cyclist as the cam-car is blocked the view. He should slow down when there is an obstruction of view on the road.
The vehicle failed to slow down and the man was sent flying. At the same time, the cyclist should have dismount and look out for traffic before crossing.
