A girl took to social media to ask whether guys are allowed to “hit back”.
She admits that she hits her boyfriend a lot because she has some anger issues that she needs to vent.
She added that her boyfriend also does things that annoy her, like talking a lot and playing games, which leads to her hitting him.
She rationaled that girls are allowed to hit guys.
However, recently while walking to her house, he was complaining about his job, and so she slapped him.
She admitted that she slapped him pretty hard.
The boyfriend then finally hit her back, which shocked her.
She shared that he shoved her away really hard, and she tumbled and fell, and he didn’t apologize and scolded her on the spot before leaving.
The couple haven’t contacted each other for a few days and she is wondering if this is a red flag for her.
She then asked if a guy “hits back”, will he be violent in a relationship?
You can read her full confession below:
“I’m really wondering, are guys allowed to “hit back”?
So I admit I hit my boyfriend a lot. I’ve had some anger issues before and I just need to vent, and my boyfriend also does things that annoy me sometimes like talking a lot and playing games.
But girls are allowed to hit guys and I think guys have no problems with it.
Besides, usually it’s not like serious injuries happen, nothing a guy can’t handle.
But recently we were walking to my house and he was complaining about his job which he clearly knows will annoy me, so I slapped him.
I admit it was quite hard, but then he did something that shocked me.
He shoved me away really hard, and because I was not expecting it I stumbled and fell. And not only did he not apologize and help me up, he actually scolded me on the spot, and then he left.
We have not contacted for a few days, and I’m wondering if this is a red flag for me?
If a guy “hits back”, will he be violent in a relationship?“
Naturally, netizens were siding with the boyfriend and calling her out for abusing her boyfriend and being the one with the “red flag”.

A couple of neighbours from Marsiling Drive had a dispute over the “pungent” smell coming from the other neighbour’s cooking.
Happening at Block 26 Marsiling Drive, the neighbours then went for mediation at the Community Mediation Centre (CMC) to settle their dispute.
Upstairs POV
The upstairs neighbour, Wang Meixue, said that her downstairs neighbour liked to cook curry, fish, chicken wings and etc, with the smell of the oily smoke drifting up into her apartment.
She said that they had to close their window every day, with the situation continuing for 5 to 6 years.
Eventually both neighbours agreed for the downstairs family to only cook at specified timings, 10.30am to 12.30pm, 4pm to 6pm and 8pm to 10pm.
However, she said that the agreement was broken after two weeks.
She also added that her daughter just got pregnant and is worried about the smoke affecting the fetus.
Also, she added that her son who is working from home, cannot concentrate on his work properly.
Downstairs POV
The downstairs neighbour on the other hand said that she needed to cook for her whole family, including herself, her husband and their 6 kids.
She asked: “Why is it wrong to cook in my own home? I have a lot of family members, which is why I need to cook for a longer time.”
She said that she had been abiding by the CMC resolution, with her family needing to wait until 10.30am to eat breakfast even if they are hungry.
A photo was then shared on Instagram showing dried fish being hung outside her window to dry by the upstairs neighbour.
Another video showed the upstairs neighbour wringing her mop dry by hitting it against the concrete right above her window.
