According to an email that was sent out to all students in SIT.
As of today 21 Feb, a student has been confirmed to have been diagnosed with COVID-19

“We have been informed that an SIT student has been diagnosed with COVID-19. The affected student is currently in stable condition. ”
“We are working closely with the authorities to conduct contact tracing. As a precautionary measure, we have placed staff and students who have come into close contact with the affected student on a 14-day Leave of Absence (LOA). We will continue to monitor the daily health condition of those on LOA and render any necessary support
Our priority is to safeguard the health and safety of our students and staff. Since the declaration of DORSCON Orange. we have stepped up our precautionary measures and implemented an enhanced cleaning regime. As an additional precaution. all areas that the affected student has come into contact with are currently being deep-cleaned and thoroughly disinfected.

This morning, at 5:21am my mom woke me up to tell this sad and bad news happened to my father, there’s this
1 Chinese guy, Local chinese accent, mids 30s, tall and muscular build body, golden coloured hair, wearing white top, blue jeans and a pair of shoe
Attempted to rob my father during his tour of duty as a Taxi-Driver at Hougang Ave 6, Bus Stop at around 5am. My father picked him at Hougang bus interchange (Taxi-Stand Area). He mentioned that he wants to go to WRS Casino but forgot to take some stuffs take belongs to him. So my dad asked for his address and told my dad that he will lead and direct him the way.
After drove off from the pickup point, he told my dad to turn to left 3 times .. that leads to Hougang Ave 6, Bus Stop.. he abruptly gave my dad instruction to stop at the bus stop.
My dad made a stop at the bus stop and subsequently that chinese guy stranggled my dad from behind the driver seat using excessive force as my dad claimed that he felt choked. My dad struggled in the mids of being strangle and managed to bite that fker’s hand.
Subsequently, that chinese guy came out from the vehicle, open the driver door, pushed my dad’s chest against the seat and started to punched my dad’s face multiple times, approximately 4-5 times.
As infd by my dad, in the mids of that guy going out the vehicle, my dad tried to open the seat belt but unable to as he was abit weak and shocked at the same time that this happened to him.
After the few punches happened.. my dad are only able to pressed the horn button to seek help from other peoples around him. Sadly there’s is no one around him at that particular timing. After my dad horn, he pulled my dad’s away, switched off the engine, pulled out the key and throw it the car dashboard. Lastly, he immediately fleet from the scene left unseen from anyone.
My dad immediately call the police himself and within 10mins, they came to assist my poor dad.
My dad was sent to the nearest hospital for treatment by ambulance. Investigation Officer from Singapore Police Force came down and interviewed my dad pertaining to the incident.
Latest updates by doctors: my dad got fractured at his nose and rib cage due to the mishap that happened to him.. he will be warded to the hospital for further examine.
That driver can be someone’s Husband, Father, GrandFather, Father-In-Law, Uncle or whatever you label him as.
Ps: if anyone happens to stay around that area and have any info please please step forward and inform the police.

According to the latest media release one of the Bangladeshis worker who was infected by the coronavirus in a very critical condition.
The 39-year-old Bangladeshi worker has been kept in the Intensive Care Unit for 13 days. His body is not responding to the medicines given to him.
Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen told reporters that the Singapore government are doing their best to take care of him with medical services of the highest level.
There is a total of 5 Bangladeshi workers who are infected with the coronavirus.
Currently, she is isolated in a room at the National University Hospital. She is linked to Case 66( Who is linked to the cluster at Grace Assembly of God.)
She reported onset of symptoms on 4 February and had sought treatment at a GP clinic on 4 February and 10 February. She was referred to NUH for a chest X-ray on 11 February and went back to NUH again on 17 February. Subsequent test results confirmed COVID-19 infection on 18 February morning.
She had gone to work at NUH, where she performs an administrative function and had not interacted with patients since the onset of symptoms.
Case 82 is considered a special case because she was originally warded in Ng Teng Fong General Hospital on the 15 Feb 2020 for dengue fever for 3 days with other patients but later transferred to isolation after discovering that she has COVID-19.
Media reports did not indicate if she was diagnosed as a dengue patient while waiting for COVID-19 results or she is suffering from both.
She shared her ward in the same room with a few other patients for at least 3 days until 18 Feb afternoon when results confirmed she was suffering from the COVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS).
Since the discovery, all other patients who shared the room with her has been transferred to single rooms, the other patients were also tested for the COVID-19 infection but results are still pending.
None of the other patients has showed respiratory symptoms so far, tracing of staff that had contact with her is also underway.
A 46-year-old man is suspected of intentionally hurting someone with a dangerous weapon. He will be charged in court today.
According to a statement released by the Singapore Police Force, the police were alerted on Tuesday(18 February 2020) morning at 10.10 AM of the incident.
A man was attacked at Geylang Lorong 21, the victim was found with a cut on his head and a knife wound on the abdomen. He was then taken to hospital for treatment.
After investigating and reviewing the Police CCTV footage, police officers from Bedok Police Station identified the suspect and arrested him within 24 hours.
The suspect will be charged today. If convicted, the man faces up to seven years in prison, or a fine, or caning, or any combination of sentences.
38-year-old freelance nurse Sa’adiah Jamari is on trial for allegedly giving “poison” or insomnia drugs to two babies under her care.
She is facing two counts of feeding poisons to two girls.
The incident started in October 2016, the mother went online to search for baby sitters to take care of her two daughters. She found a freelance babysitter at Hougang and decided to take up her services. The younger daughter is only 5-months-old.
The two girls were under Sa’adiah’s care from November to December 2016.
After the daughters were under her case, She noticed that her younger daughter would throw a tantrum and her eyes were swollen.
The mother then took her baby to KK hospital but was discharged but later send them again to Parkway East Hospital as the baby’s condition did not improve.
The baby was warded for 5 days and reports from the hospital detected 10 chemicals that are found in her daughter’s body.
Out of the 10 substances it includes Sleeping drug temazepam, antihistamine chlorpheniramine and aprazolam(Anxiety Medication).
Chlorpheniramine is a common drug used to treat runny nose and flu and may cause drowsiness. It is commonly printed with the warning “Do not operate machinery and drive”
The mother reports the incident to the police after receiving the hospital reports.
