ITALY 3 CASE TO 155 CASES IN A 3 DAYS. MAJOR OUTBREAK

On the 19 Dec 2020, 🇮🇹 Italy only had 3 cases.

Cutting all flights in and out China did not stop the cases from increasing. Initially the officials were hopeful that there were no infections.

On Feb 21st, 14 cases were confirmed in a day. In another 2 days another 138 cases and 2 deaths were added.

Italy officials has yet to find patient zero.

CORONAVIRUS: TWO MORE DEATHS IN SOUTH KOREA, 161 NEW CASES IN KOREA

According to reports in Korea, 161 more cases were reported earlier today by the Korean media. Korea is now the country that is the 2nd largest country to be affected by the outbreak.

Two more people died and the total death in Korean currently stands at 7.

Church In Daegu City

115 of the new cases originated from a church located in Daegu City. A woman who attended the church’s service was a confirmed case and interacted with several other church members.

Korea his raised the alert level to the highest level after the sudden increase of coronavirus confirmed cases.

The church followers are currently facing criticism and hatred from Korean netizens.

67-YEAR-OLD ARRESTED AFTER VANDALISING HDB WALLS AT BEDOK

According to a Police media release, a 67-year-old woman was arrested for her suspected involvement in a vandalism case.

The Police were alerted on the 18 February 2020 at around 11.40 PM that the walls of two HDB blocks were found with vandalism in the vicinity of Bedok South Avenue 1.

The Police were able to identify the woman with the aid of police CCTV and investigations, officers from Bedok Police Division the suspect on 20 February 2020.

In Singapore, vandalism is a serious offence and typically a minimum of three strokes of the rotan will be sentenced if a person is found guilty of vandalism. However, the suspect is a woman and she will not receive the rotan.

LORRY DRIVER WITH FAKE DRIVING LICENSE CAUGHT WITH CONTRABAND AT WOODLANDS

According to a media release by the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority(ICA). A lorry driver was caught trying to smuggle over 5000 cartons of contraband cigarettes.

The incident happened in the early hours of 17 February 2020, at around 4.39 am, a Malaysian-registered lorry was stopped and directed to an area for further checks. The declared document states the items were vegetables but scanned images of the lorry made the officers on duty to be suspicious.

The officers who checked the lorry found 5,220 cartons of duty-unpaid cigarettes hidden inside cardboard boxes instead of the so called “vegetables”. within the consignment.

“The total duty and Goods and Services Tax (GST) evaded amounted to about $445,788 and $36,094 respectively.”

Forged Driving License

The 27-year-old Malaysian driver was immediately arrested and further checks revealed that his Malaysia driving license was not real. The case has been referred to Singapore Customs and the Singapore Police Force for investigations.

CASE 89 STAYS IN SERANGOON, WORKS AT TEMASEK BOULEVARD AND WENT TO BISHAN COMMUNITY CENTER

Case 89 is a 41-year-old male Singapore Permanent Resident and he have no recent travel history to China.

Warded in an isolation room at the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID).

Symptoms on 3 February, visited 2 clinics 5 times on 3 February, 7 February, 10 February, 17 February and 21 February.

He was referred to NCID on 21 February, and subsequent test results confirmed COVID-19 infection on 22 February morning.

Work at Affinity Equity Partners (S) Pte Ltd (8 Temasek Boulevard) and visited Bishan Community Club (51 Bishan Street 13). He stays at Serangoon Avenue 3.

3 MORE CONFIRMED CASES IN SINGAPORE, TOTAL CASES 89

A video is circulating on Facebook of 3 individuals trying fighting outside the taxi stand.

A woman was also seen trying to stop one of the men.

CASE 85: PRC NATIONAL STAYING IN WOODLANDS, VISITED YISHUN POLYCLINIC

Case 85 is a 36-year-old male PRC national who is working in Singapore. He has no recent travels to China and warded insolation at NCID

Symptoms on n 14 February visited a doctor on 14,16 February and 19 February.

On 19 Feb he visited Yishun Polyclinic as well.

He was sent to to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital in an ambulance on the same day. Test results confirmed that he is suffering from COVID-19 on the next day

He stays in a rental apartment at Woodlands Avenue 6. The following red line is Ave 6.

CORONAVIRUS CASE 86 STAYS AT BUKIT BATOK AND A STUDENT OF SIT

Case 86 is the case that was announced yesterday by MOH media release.

Here are the details

  • Case 86 is a 24-year-old male Singapore Citizen
  • No recent travel history to China.
  • Warded in isolation at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH).

He is linked to Case 82 and started to have symptoms on 14 February, he visited the doctor on 16 February and 18 February.

He visited the emergency department at Ng Teng Feng General Hospital on 19 February 2020 and was warded. Test results confirmed COVID-19 infection on 20 February afternoon.

He stays at Bukit Batok East Avenue 5.

He is a student at Singapore Institute of Technology

You may have come across this post online about someone who spat on the lift buttons in our Rumbia station on the Sengkang East LRT system.

This is an abhorrent act even under normal circumstances. In the present situation, it’s more than mischief. We have made a police report and will assist in their investigations. We wish to assure the public that the lift has since been cleaned and disinfected.
