A Whatsapp message has caused quite a stir after revealing the locations of the suspected and confirmed cases

here is what the message is and what the authorities say

Here is what MOH have to say about it:

“There is a WhatsApp message circulating with a list of alleged places where suspected or confirmed cases of the 2019-nCoV infection have been. “

This is false. There is no need to avoid places where persons with suspected or confirmed cases of the 2019-nCoV infection have been.  The risk of infection from transient contacts, such as in public places, is low. There is also currently no evidence of community spread. “

THE TOTAL NUMBER OF THE INFECTED IS NOW 18, 2ND SINGAPOREAN INFECTED

According to a media release by the Ministry of Health, there are now two more confirmed cases of the Wuhan virus infection. This brings the total number to 18.

A 47-year-old Singaporean woman who travelled to Wuhan, but was later evacuated back to Singapore. A total of 92 Singaporeans were evacuated from the city.

The other is a 31-year-old Chinese national who arrived in Singapore from Wuhan on Jan 22. She was tested positive for the virus on Saturday.

FIRST SINGAPOREAN WITH WUHAN CORONA VIRUS WARDED

According to the media release, a 47-year-old woman Singaporean woman has contracted the deadly Wuhan Corona Virus.

She was on a Scoot plane from Wuhan to Singapore with her family. She developed a fever after arriving at the airport and was sent to the National Centre for Infectious Diseases.

MOH has confirmed three other cases bringing the total cases to 16.

The test concluded that she is infected, confirmed today afternoon at 2 pm.

MAN NARROWLY ESCAPES DRUNK WOMAN DRIVER CRASHING INTO UNIT AT SELEGIE

A 46-year-old woman was arrested for drink driving after she crashed her Volkswagen into a restaurant at 9 Selegie Road.

The incident happened in the wee hours on 31st of Jan 2020 at around 12.27am

According to the woman’s carplate, the road tax has already expired

MAN INVOLVED IN LOAN SHARK HARASSMENT CASE WANTED BY POLICE

Police looking for the man in the photo to assist with a loanshark harassment case along Sumang Lane(Punggol Area).

The incident was reported to the Police on the of December 19

Common loanshark harassment techniques range from

  • splashing paint
  • locking up the unit
  • spray painting
  • Loanshark notes and so on

LOCAL SHOP REFUNDS ONLINE ORDER FOR MASK BECAUSE “NO STOCK” TURNS OUT ITS BULLS*IT

Feel quite piss off. I placed an order online on 26th Jan 2020 online to this Yong Heng Hardware store for 4 boxes of surgical mask at SGD6 per box.

This morning sent me a refund email stating no stock.

Sensing something was wrong I make a trip down and found that they actually still have stock for the mask except they raise the price to SGD20 per box. And the lady who served me still askng me how many box i need.

This kind of seller totally no honor and wanna make money understand but make ethically lah.
But i LL take two boxes and left….

please help me share and make awareness such things are happening.

SINGAPORE GOVERNMENT PAYING THE MEDICAL BILL FOR THE WUHAN VIRUS PATIENTS

With rise of the deadly Wuhan Virus, Singapore have a total of 13 cases at the time this article was written.

According to the media release, the govt will be footing the bill of 13 patients, MOH will be paying for the medical bill regardless of the nationality of the patients.

According to MOH, all 13 of the patients are imported cases, meaning so far there are no Singaporeans infected with the virus.

Although there are no evidence of the virus spreading locally, other countries such as China and the US were not as fortunate as there are already cases of people to people transmission.

Here is what we know

  • There are still 49 pending test results and hopefully, they are negative
  • Among the 13 patients, so far none has recovered from the virus fully.
  • Recovery from the virus is possible as reported.

US 1ST CASE OF PERSON TO PERSON CORONAVIRUS TRANSMISSION

A man in the US has contracted CoronaVirus from his wife was admitted to the hospital after coming in contact with his wife.

The man’s wife travelled to Wuhan, China and returned to the United States on the 13 Jan 2020, after returning she started to experience the following symptoms

  • Shortness of breath
  • Fever

Thankfully after returning to the US, the couple did not take any public transport or gathered in any crowded areas. The couple resides in Chicago, Illinois.

There are currently 21 suspected cases in the state and health experts are worried over the rapid moving situation.

The man is 60-years-old and is currently in stable conditions.
