Rayson Chee Rui Sheng, a Republic Polytechnic student who recorded upskirt videos of multiple women at different places including his own school was sentenced on Tuesday (June 2) to 18 months’ probation.
Rayson has to remain indoors from 10pm to 6am everyday and perform 100 hours of community service. His parents have place a bond of $5000 to ensure his good behaviour. He is currently suspended from school but he hopes to continue his studies one day.
Rayson had pleaded guilty to three counts of insulting a woman’s modesty and four other similar offences were taken into consideration.
The offences came to light when he was caught red handed for recording an upskirt video of a 21 year old woman. The discipline master called the police three hours after the incident. He filmed similiar upskirt videos at two other locations such as Bukit Batok MRT and West Mall shopping centre.
For each count of insulting a woman’s modesty, an offender can be jailed for up to a year and fined.
