GIRL REFUSED TO GET INTIMATE WITH BF, THEN KENA DUMPED & KICKED OUT

0

My [22f] Boyfriend [23m] kicked me out and dumped me the first time I refused to get intimate with him.

Ive known him for 6 months, and we’ve been hooking up the entire time. We went official about 3 weeks ago, after dating and learning about each other.

Well, last night we haven’t seen each other for a week and a half because he went on a work trip, so i spend the night over at his house for movie night.

We got intimate twice and he tried initiating one more time, we usually go 3 times before bed, and i told him i was tired.

He initially was chill about it but then it got weird. He started getting dressed and went outside for 15 minutes.

He came back and told me that I needed to call a cab because he had a doctors appointment early in the morning.

I thought it was weird but there was definitely a weird tension between us, i can tell he was upset although he didnt say anything or lash out.

We went outside and He waited for the ride to show up, and as we were waiting he told me that we were done and he didnt like the direction this relationship was heading.

I am absolutely devastated because of how random this was. We have been having some relationship issues recently as I am the jealous type and we had a big talk about it the other night and this has created some friction in our relationship the past few weeks.

I just cant believe he dumped me at 2 am spontaneously over that.

GIRL SELLS HER BODY IN ORDER TO AFFORD THE FEES FOR HER DEGREE

0

We hear these stories from time to time and it can be a bit disturbing, about students who are taking degrees working as hostesses or something “even more”.

Here is the story:

I’m not proud to say this so I will share this story anonymously. I needed some advice as I feel kind of wrong doing this.

I managed to pay for my $20,000+ degree in 2 instalments. My classmates knew that I do not come from a well to do family and they wondered how did I manage to pay for my degree in two instalments.

I often lie to them and tell them that I saved up alot of my earnings but when I go out with them… The way I spend money sometimes gave it away.

The truth is… it started out as an innocent waitressing job and I eventually became a hostess as the money was good. But I got greedy and tired from working as a hostess as I’m often drunk.

Studying for a degree is not easy and there are always endless assignments to submit and the deadline is always tight. While drinking with some customers, I told a few of them of my situation and some of them advised me to stop working as a hostess while some others told me to “tahan”

One of the customers actually offered me a deal, he said that I can quit my job and focus on my degree. I asked him “then how would I pay for my degree?”

He said that the deal was to give me a $2,000 allowance a month to be his “girlfriend”. I asked if he is asking me to be his “SugarB”. He said yes… So I asked what I needed to do, he said

“everything a girlfriend does with her boyfriend”

I was tempted but I rejected him.

Degree soon became a lesser concern

Months went by and the stress from studying was getting higher and higher, I met the same guy at the pub again and somehow this time he convinced me. I feel like a soulless doll when he was using me but the money was good.

After 2 months, I felt that I can earn much more than that and I started to do freelance and eventually MIA from that customer.

Freelancing was earning me even more, within a few months I could not only pay up my degree’s fee but also buy good things for myself. I started to think… even with a degree, I will not come close to earning this kind of money until I’m old.

By the time I’m old, I don’t have the energy to have fun anymore. Now I’m thinking should I finish my degree or just do freelance till I can afford my own property. I am really confused, a bit of me is feeling disgusted with myself. But I can’t say no to money.

WOMAN PAID $53K FOR HERMES BAG, END UP IT’S FAKE & SHOP REFUSES TO GIVE FULL REFUND

0

Navigating the intricacies of consumer rights can be challenging, especially for tourists. This was exemplified by the unfortunate experience of Miss Deng, a 27-year-old Chinese national living in Singapore, who found herself tricked into buying a fake Hermes crocodile leather bag in Ratchaprasong, Bangkok, according to Khaosod English.

Miss Deng’s Experience

Miss Deng, residing in Thailand due to her husband’s business, came across a tempting offer for a Hermes crocodile leather bag on Instagram. Unaware of the impending deceit, she directly contacted the seller and arranged the purchase for 1.4 million baht at a well-known shopping mall in Ratchaprasong.

To ensure the authenticity of her purchase, Miss Deng sent the bag to the Catch Fake Brandname (TCF), a Thai luxury goods institute. The institute confirmed her fears – the bag was a counterfeit. This revelation marked the beginning of Miss Deng’s ordeal.

Upon discovering the fraud, Miss Deng contacted the seller, requesting a return. Shockingly, the seller refused, citing the disappearance of the bag and its subsequent loss of value.

Legal Actions Taken

Frustrated and determined to seek justice, Miss Deng instructed her law firm to lodge a complaint at the Lumpini Police Station on October 6, 2023. Even after returning to Singapore, she continued her pursuit of justice by authorizing another complaint on November 1, 2023.

The legal representative, accompanied by the police, engaged with the store for the bag’s return. However, the store proposed a return with a deduction of 420,000 baht for depreciation, leading to a deadlock in negotiations.

In a bid to draw attention to the seller’s uncooperative behavior, Miss Deng took her grievance to the media. This step was driven by the inability to find a resolution through legal channels.

Miss Deng’s Plea

Expressing her frustration, Miss Deng highlighted the difficulty she faced in finding a government agency responsible for protecting tourists’ rights. Her plea to the country’s leaders was clear – to address the challenges tourists encounter when seeking justice.

Concerns for Tourists

Miss Deng voiced concerns that tourists facing similar situations might be deterred from visiting Thailand for travel and shopping. The impact on Thailand’s tourism reputation is a significant consideration.

DELIVEROO RIDER ALLEGEDLY THREW AWAY FOOD BECAUSE CUSTOMER NEVER ANSWER

Deliveroo rider threw away food because we didn’t pick up call from an international number

It’s been a tough week and my parents ordered in a nice meal to cheer up, and when we were waiting for it, the phone got a call from an unknown +61 number. My mother said “oh, scam call” and didn’t pick up, just as we’ve been taught from all the recent anti-scam campaigns.

About an hour later the food hadn’t arrived. We were really hungry and thought the rider might be lost, and waited to see if he would call. We got a drink for him since it’s a hot day and he would be tired. But when we checked the app, it said the food had been successfully delivered.

We tried contacting the rider through the Deliveroo chat to find out what happened. He insisted that he went to the map location and no one was there, and ended the chat. We called up customer service, who called the rider and then told us that he had tried contacting us but we didn’t pick up. We were really confused because we had been waiting for a call, and my mother checked to be sure there was no missed call. She said the only call we got was a scam call from +61, and asked if that was the number. And… it’s apparently the Deliveroo number.

We got a refund at least, but I’m really bummed over all that good food thrown away because it’s such a terrible waste. I’m thinking of all the people who worked hard to cook it and the guy who came all the way here in the heat, only to have to dispose the food just because Deliveroo’s phone numbers look like they’re about to tell you they’re from the police or the Ministry of Health.

anyway we just got fast food because we were all really hungry and upset.

Has the same thing happened to any of you before? How do you know which suspicious numbers are ok to pick up and which are scams? Do you just pick up every call just in case?

S’PORE WOMAN LIED TO POLICE ABOUT BEING MOLESTED TO “PROTECT” BF WHO PUNCHED MAN, JAILED

0

24-year-old Tan Qiu Yan lied to the Singapore Police Force about being molested, which led to the unjust investigation of a 35-year-old man, according to The Straits Times.

Background

Tan Qiu Yan and her boyfriend, 23-year-old Tan Jek He, were strolling along Lavender Street when a seemingly ordinary encounter took a dark turn. As they passed by the victim, Tan’s boyfriend Tan Jek He was convinced that the victim was staring at his girlfriend, and he then confronted the man.

The situation escalated, with Tan Jek He then punching the victim in the face, causing a laceration on his lower jaw. Despite attempts to de-escalate, the altercation continued, prompting the victim to seek help from his friends, and they then proceeded to confront the assailant at Kitchener Complex.

A Twisted Cover-Up

As the police arrived at the scene, Tan Qiu Yan made a shocking claim: the victim had touched her backside, trying to justify her boyfriend’s retaliatory punch.

This claim, later revealed as a calculated fabrication, initiated a series of events that would lead to an innocent man being investigated for a crime he did not commit.

Deeputy Public Prosecutor Vincent Ong told the court that Tan Qiu Yan and Tan Jek He had concocted a plan to protect the latter, recently released from prison, from the consequences of assaulting the victim. The duo falsely accused the victim of molestation, setting off a chain of events that would eventually unravel.

False Narratives and Police Investigations

The couple stuck to their fabricated story during police investigations, maintaining that the victim had molested Tan Qiu Yan. This false narrative, however, crumbled when CCTV footage revealed no contact between the victim and the accused woman.

Police investigations, aided by closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage, proved pivotal in exposing the deception. The footage contradicted Tan Qiu Yan’s account, leading to the revelation that the victim had not molested her, and her boyfriend’s violent actions were not justified.

However, Tan continued with her lie and it was only after the police showed her the CCTV footage, did she then finally confess that she was actually not molested.

Legal Consequences and Sentencing

Tan Qiu Yan faced legal repercussions for her false statements. On January 12, she was sentenced to one week’s jail after pleading guilty to providing false information to a public servant.

Tan Jek He’s case, on the other hand, is still ongoing and he is expected to plead guilty to his offence in March.

WOMAN’S FAMILY LIFE DESTROYED BY HER PLASTIC SURGERY

0

A woman recently shared on Facebook how her past plastic surgery has ruined her family life. It all started when she underwent plastic surgery in Korea before she met her current husband. Things went from bad to worse after the birth of her child as the child did not resemble her husband at all.

Here is her full story.

I’m in a lot of pain right now. Not because of what I did to my face several years ago, but because my husband is questioning if our daughter is really his. He thinks she does not look like both of us. But how can I tell him that Sarah (using another name to protect my daughter) actually looks a lot like me before my makeover?

Blame it on my beauty obsession. When I was 23, I went to Korea for a series of procedures. I was really happy with the rhinoplasty, but not so much with the facelift and eyebag removal. But overall, I was happy with a better me, and it increased my self confidence. If not because I had wiped out my savings and my parents had threatened to disown me, I would’ve gone for bust enhancement too. I had wanted to go from a B-cup to a C.

I met Tim (again another name) at a friend’s party in Sentosa. He had just returned from the States, doing chemicals research.

We hit it off almost straight away. Despite the nerdy nature of his job, he was quite a biker, and I always remember our rides around Singapore in the silence of the night, esp on weekends. It was a whirlwind romance, and I did not hesitate when he proposed 1 year later, at Changi beach park as we were gazing at the stars. I did not tell him about my makeover. Why was it impt? He had fallen in love with the new me, and that’s all it mattered. Many of my friends also had secrets or history which they hid from their other halves.

We registered our marriage in Singapore, and flew to the States for a simple banquet with his dad, step mom, sister and several close friends. Over here, my parents organized a small reception for close relatives, as they were too scared that people will notice my new looks. I could tell at the reception that my grandmum and some other female relatives were shocked/puzzled to see the new me, but chose to respect the occasion and did not ask anything. In private, I was sure they would ask my parents this and that. It did not matter to me. I had found the new me, and through it, had found the love of my life. An exciting new chapter of my life was beginning.

We settled down in Singapore and rented an apartment. In terms of having a baby, we let nature take its course, but were still surprised when I got pregnant. Sarah was born in Nov 2016, just 2 days before my birthday. As my relationship with my parents has been strained ever since my makeover, I quit my job to care for Sarah full time. It helped that Tim’s step mom flew down for a period to help with Sarah (thanksie step mom! How many step moms would actually do that?).

We finally got our own apartment and slowly, I settled in to my role as a full time mother. Tim is a believer in home schooling, and we agreed that we would only send Sarah to preschool when she’s 4 or 5 years old.

Things were chiming along pretty well. We would head to the States every 6 months or so to visit Tim’s family and for vacation. Sarah was growing up into an adorable sweetie pixie, who likes to pull at my hair (luckily not my nose!). My scars had healed pretty well, but I take care to avoid knocks or any form of trauma to my face. As Sarah grew up, I realize she started to look like the old me, esp the roundish facial contours and slightly V-chin. And for the first time, I felt a pang of guilt for having the makeover. Guilt that while heaven had blessed Sarah with such a beautiful face, she could not look like her mother. And for the first time, I started to understand why my parents had objected so strongly to my makeover. I don’t think Tim notice anything amiss. He was still the doting, hardworking dad and husband.

That was, until Sarah’s 3rd birthday last year. We had brought her out to pororo park to celebrate. That night, after we had put her to bed, and I was doing my manicure, he suddenly looked up from his laptop and said: “You know, I think that she doesn’t look like you or me at all.” I was so taken aback that I dropped my brush. I guessed my reaction only made things worse. Tim has always been an emotional person, but he’s not the expressive type and generally manages his feelings well. However, at that instant, I thought I could see some doubt or hurt in his eyes. He had caught me off guard, and my head was in a spin, trying to second guess his reason for saying this and figure out a reply at the same time. “love, lotsa kids don’t look like their mums and dads” was all I could say.

But the semi-desperation of my voice and the unconvinced and hurt look on his face told me this was not going to go away easily. “are you hiding anything from me?” was all he said next. “Why are you asking this out of nowhere?”, at the risk of waking Sarah up, I tried to sound angry, to hide my panic. Equally, I was hurt that he didn’t trust me. But I didn’t really blame him. Turned out some of his friends and colleagues had commented that Sarah did not resemble either of us, and some geneticist friend of his in the States had told him that paternal genes are stronger than maternal genes, and first-born daughters usually look like the father more. Sarah does not look like either him or me, and this caused doubts in him on whether he was really her father. That night, for the first time in our marriage, we slept in separate rooms. And tried as I could to hide it, I’m not sure whether he heard my sobs.

Things are not the same now. He started to drown himself in work to avoid me and Sarah, even going back to the office on weekends. I have to think of all sorts of reasons to explain to Sarah why daddy cannot join our weekend outings for the time being. It hurts me so much to see him like this, and even more so that Sarah has become collateral damage. To prove that Sarah is his flesh and blood, I suggested a DNA test, but he has so far refused. I know what he’s thinking. He’s feeling conflicted and guilty that on one hand while he has damaged the trust between us, on the other hand he wants to repair that trust, and did not want to damage it further by doing a DNA test which will show that he could not trust me w/o it.

I know what a lot of you must be thinking. Why don’t I just confess to him about my makeover? What will he think of me if I tell him now? Can he accept that the new me is actually not the real me, and that I’ve been hiding this from him all these yrs? This will be as big a blow to him as if Sarah is really not his daughter, I’m sure. Right now I’m torn, and I really don’t know what to do. There’s no one to tell, and Sarah is my only comfort now. Seeing her now and how she looks like the old me, my guilt has only gotten worse. I thought I had started the perfect next chapter of my life, but my past has caught up with me. I often find myself thinking, if I had not gone for the makeover, would I still have gotten together with Tim? Is it worth it now?

SPEEDING MOTORCYCLIST KILLED IN CRASH WITH LORRY @ LIM CHU KANG, LORRY DRIVER JAILED

0

In a heart-wrenching incident, a lorry driver’s ill-fated turn near a cemetery in Lim Chu Kang resulted in the tragic death of a 21-year-old motorcyclist.

The driver, Jumade Dafir, has been sentenced to three weeks’ jail and an eight-year driving ban for causing the fatal accident, according to Channel NewsAsia.

The Unfortunate Incident: Details Unveiled

On April 15, 2022, at approximately 5:55 pm, Jumade Dafir, a lorry driver for a waste management company, collided with 21-year-old Goh Kai Yeow while making a right turn near the Muslim Cemetery Path 17 in Lim Chu Kang.

Despite the victim, Mr. Goh, having the right of way, Jumade failed to give way as he turned into Lim Chu Kang Road. The collision occurred at the junction turning towards Jalan Bahar.

The collision’s impact was severe, with the lorry spinning anti-clockwise and Mr. Goh being flung off his motorcycle. Tragically, Mr. Goh, who wore a compliant motorcycle helmet, succumbed to his injuries on the spot.

Immediate Aftermath: Injuries and Emergency Response

Apart from the loss of Mr. Goh, Jumade’s wife and another relative in the front cabin of the lorry suffered injuries. Jumade’s wife experienced a hand fracture and injuries to her eye, while the other relative endured scalp pain.

Jumade, realizing the gravity of the situation, promptly stopped the lorry. His relatives, along with him, rushed to assist the injured, including Mr. Goh. An ambulance was called, but unfortunately, Mr. Goh was pronounced dead at the scene.

Legal Proceedings: Sentencing and Considerations

Jumade pleaded guilty to driving without reasonable consideration and causing death. He was subsequently sentenced to three weeks’ jail and an eight-year driving ban.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Huo Jiong Rui acknowledged that while Mr. Goh’s high speed significantly contributed to the accident, Jumade’s poor driving record and past violations were factors considered in determining culpability.

The report from the Forensic Chemistry and Physics Laboratory revealed that Mr. Goh’s motorcycle was traveling at an average speed of 134kmh to 158kmh, far exceeding the speed limit.

WOMAN BOUGHT PASTA FROM YISHUN NTUC, FINDS INFESTATION OF INSECTS INSIDE

0

In a recent complaint lodged by a customer of NTUC FairPrice, it has been reported that a box of pasta purchased from the Northpoint City branch was found to be infested with weevils.

The customer, who shared their experience on social media, expressed frustration after encountering the infestation upon opening the supposedly new box of pasta.

The incident unfolded when the customer began noticing weevils crawling around their house, prompting a thorough search to identify the source of the infestation. It wasn’t until the customer decided to prepare the recently purchased box of pasta from NTUC FairPrice that the weevil problem became apparent.

This marks the fourth box of pasta that the customer claims to have thrown away due to weevil infestations. The customer provided photographic evidence, showcasing the weevils encased within the pasta itself. The troubling discovery raises concerns about the quality control measures in place for the food products offered by the supermarket chain.

The customer’s frustration is compounded by the fact that the product had not exceeded its expiry date, with the marked date indicating September 2025. This discrepancy raises questions about the storage conditions and quality control procedures implemented by NTUC FairPrice.

What the netizen said

I got some box pasta from ntuc and it had so many weevils.

I bought this from ntuc (northpoint city) and recently, we saw weevils crawling around the house but had no idea where it came from. That was until I opened up the NEW box of pasta and wanted to cook it. Then we saw the infestation. This isn’t even the first time! It’s the fourth box I’ve thrown away. The weevils are encased in the pasta, as seen in the photo. Bought but didn’t immediately use. And the expiry date is September 2025!

What are weevils

Rice weevils (scientific name Sitophilus oryzae) are a type of beetle that occur mainly in the tropics.  Rice weevils are small in size (about 2 – 3 mm) and are most commonly found in rice. They can also be found in other stored grain products such as corn, millet, wheat, sorghum, oats, and barley. Rice weevils, whether in larval or adult stage, are not harmful to human beings as they are not known to spread any disease/infection or bite people.

15 Y.O YP TRIED TO ROB SHOP @ PASIR RIS, PANICS & THROWS WEAPON AT VICTIMS, ARRESTED

0

The bustling Elias Mall in Pasir Ris witnessed an unexpected turn of events on January 11, as a 15-year-old attempted to rob a steamed bun shop, leaving a 56-year-old woman injured. This shocking incident unfolded along Elias Road at 6.05 pm, prompting a swift response from the police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force, according to Shin Min Daily News.

Incident Details

The attempted robbery occurred when the 15-year-old entered the steamed bun shop, Bao Baby, along Elias Road. The situation escalated quickly as the youth brandished a sharp object, demanding access to the cash register. The 56-year-old woman, a shop owner, sustained minor injuries in the ensuing chaos.

Mr. Chen, the owner of Bao Baby, recounted the perplexing encounter with the young robber. The initial confusion, compounded by a communication barrier, led to a tense standoff. Using hand gestures to calm the situation, the couple found themselves on the verge of complying with the young assailant.

However, a twist in the tale occurred when a passer-by unknowingly interrupted the impending robbery. Mrs. Chen’s decision not to surrender the money, prompted by the appearance of an outsider, incited the young robber to flee, leaving behind a weapon that inadvertently injured her.

Injuries and Evidence

The unintended injury to Mrs. Chen, a 5cm wound on her chest, highlighted the potential danger lurking in such situations. The police, responding promptly, discovered a shoe near the crime scene, believed to be worn by the young robber during the incident.

The authorities wasted no time in apprehending the 15-year-old male teenager in connection with the attempted robbery. At the time of writing, police investigations into the robbery is underway.

This incident underscores the importance of situational awareness within the community. The role of public intervention, as demonstrated by the passer-by, can be pivotal in preventing crimes and ensuring the safety of individuals.
