GF DEMANDS FOR GOLD RING FOR BIRTHDAY, BF DIGS HIS NOSE UNTIL IT BECOMES A LUMP OF ‘GOLD’

0

It was the day of my birthday, and I was so excited to be surrounded by my family and friends.

As I opened my presents, I couldn’t help but smile when I saw the usual gifts – a new phone, some clothes, and some accessories. But then, I saw something I didn’t expect – a tiny box.

I wanted my partner to give me a gold ring for my birthday. I was so happy and excited to see it, and I couldn’t help but smile when I saw the ring box. But then, something strange happened. My partner put his finger up to his nose and started digging.

At first, I thought he was just playing around, but then he started to make a weird noise.

He kept digging until his finger was deep inside his nostril, and then he pulled out a lump of something yellow. He said it was a lump of ‘gold’ that he had found in his nose.

I was shocked and confused. I asked him why he had done this, and he said he had done it because I had asked for a gold ring for my birthday. He thought it would be funny to give me a lump of ‘gold’ from his nose.

I couldn’t believe what had just happened. My partner had gone to such extreme lengths to embaress me on my birthday. I was so devastated by his actions and I couldn’t help but scream at him.

I thought that he really loved me and that’s why I told him to give me a gold ring to prove his love.

It showed me how much he really cared about me, and how much he was willing to do for me. It was truly the worse birthday.

GIRL SAYS: NOT ALL MEN ARE PERVERTS AND NOT ALL WOMEN ARE SAINTS, NO DIFFERENCE

0

I remember when I was a child, I used to hear my grandmother use the phrase “not all men are perverts and not all women are saints” to describe the difference between men and women.

As a young girl, I thought it was a strange phrase, but I never really understood its meaning until I grew older. Now, as an adult, I understand it to mean that there is no difference between men and women.

We often hear people talking about how men are more likely to be perverts and women more likely to be saints, but I think that this is a misguided way of looking at gender differences. We can’t deny that men and women have different qualities, but there’s no need to assign negative stereotypes to one gender or the other.

The idea that men are more likely to be perverts and women more likely to be saints is rooted in the traditional gender roles that society has assigned to us. Men have been seen as the aggressors and the ones in charge, while women have been seen as passive and submissive. Unfortunately, these stereotypes have been used to oppress and limit women’s rights for centuries.

But, thankfully, times are changing. We are seeing a shift in society’s attitudes towards gender roles and expectations. More and more, people are recognizing that men and women can both be strong, independent, and capable. We are realizing that there is no “right” or “wrong” way to be a man or a woman.

At the same time, we must also be aware of the fact that men and women can be victims of harassment and assault. Just because one gender is not more likely to be a victim than the other, doesn’t mean that one gender is immune to it. We must work together to ensure that everyone is treated with respect and dignity, regardless of their gender.

In the end, it’s important to remember that not all men are perverts and not all women are saints. We all have our own unique qualities and strengths. We need to recognize and celebrate these differences, rather than assigning negative stereotypes to one gender or the other. We must also remember that no one is immune to harassment or assault, regardless of their gender. We must work together to create a safe and respectful environment for everyone.

MAN PROPOSED TO GF, THEN ASKED HER TO COVER HALF THE COST OF ENGAGEMENT RING

0

A Taiwanese woman took to the social media platform Dcard, to share how he fiance asked her to pay for half the cost of her engagement ring.

She said that they had been dating in a stable relationship for 4 years and had no issues with money throughout the period.

Her boyfriend is apparently earning a lot of m money and they were fine with how they handled their expenses as a couple.

Her boyfriend proposed to her with a diamond ring in his hands as their friends witnessed the special moment between the couple.

She said that she was very happy and accepted his marriage proposal, but she was shocked when her fiance ask her to pay for half the cost of the diamond ring, which costs TWD15,000 (SGD 655).

Her fiance purportedly told her that he had been picking the diamond ring for a long time now, and added “it’s okay, you can transfer half the money to me slowly.”

The woman then asked him why she needed to pay for her engagement ring, adding that “isn’t a marriage proposal a gift from the man to the woman?”

He then responded by saying that the proposal was a celebration for both of them, hence the costs should be divided between them.

The couple then got into a fight over it and she then stopped wearing the ring because she felt uncomfortable doing so, scared that he would think she was taking advantage of him.

THAILAND REINSTATES COVID RESTRICTIONS FOR INTERNATIONAL TRAVELERS, AFTER CHINA REOPENED

0

Thailand is set to reinstate their country’s Covid-19 requirements for all international travellers looking to enter the country, according to the Thai Minister of Transport, Saksayam Chidchob.

The restrictions will begin on 9 January and until 31 January.

Foreign travellers above 18 will need to show proof that they have received 2 doses of the vaccine, or that they have recovered from Covid for no more than 180 days.

Travellers who are unvaccinated will need a medical report detailing the reasons.

Persons without these documents will be refused entry, and those who display Covid symptoms will be advised to get tested for the virus upon their arrival.

Travellers must also have documentation of health insurance coverage for Covid treatment if their next destination country required a negative Covid-19 test result.

Thailand previously got rid of their entry requirements into the country in October last year, where international tourists can enter without proof of vaccination, antigen test results and health insurance.

The reinstatement of the rules comes in the wake of China reopening its borders today, with Thailand being one of the top destinations for Chinese tourists.

CHIOBU CISCO JIEJIE PRAISED FOR HELPING TRAVELER TRANSFER TOILETRIES INTO 100ML BOTTLES

0

LinkedIn user Yasmine Khater shared her experience with a Certis Cisco officer, Li Fang Wee, who went the extra mile to help her when she accidentally brought her toiletries in bottles that exceeded the 100ml limit.

She detailed her experience in a lengthy LinkedIn post, which has since gone viral.

Here is what she said

I am at the security check with a big bag of toiletries in my hand that I forgot to check in.

The Certis staff says: “mam, we have to throw this away, the bottles are over 100ml”.

“I was like no, they are nearly empty”.

I forgot it was not about the amount in the bottle.
It’s the bottle size.

Duh.

Human error or side effects of the pandemic.

Sunscreen and soap are easy to replace.
But I have curly hair.

The wrong shampoo and conditioner will dry my hair out.
But I also look like an untamed beast.

“You can keep everything… but can I at least keep the conditioner”

I thought I could negotiate my way, but regulations are regulations.

Li Fang asked for my boarding pass and said “Mam, you can go to the pharmacy and buy travel bottles, you have enough time”.

I was so grateful for the tip rushed over.

Not realizing that filling a tiny shampoo and conditioner is not as easy as it looks.

While I was filling the shampoo, she grabbed a spoon and started filling the conditioner. We laughed together at this situation and if the airport was busier I would suffer alone.

One of my favorite quotes by Dr. Maya Angelou is…

“I’ve learned that people will forget what you said,
People will forget what you did,
But people will never forget how you made them feel.”

How do you make someone feel when they are frustrated?

When your…
– leading a team,
– managing a client or
– even dealing with a personal relations.

Your ability to communicate with empathy and putting the other person in mind makes you influential.

Thanks, Li Fang Wee from the Certis team at Changi Terminal 4 for such a wonderful experience

Our Victoria passed away.

She has gone too soon and our family has been completely devastated since then.
We miss her. More than anything in this world. Our family will never be the same. Life will never be the same.

Victoria was the most beautiful soul who ever lived. She was the best little sister in the world. The best daughter, the best granddaughter and the best godma / aunty to Ava and Alia.

WOMAN HAD $3.6K STOLEN FROM HER UOB CREDIT CARD WHILE SHE WAS SLEEPING,

0

Like honestly speaking, is UOB doing their job well?

The amount of fraud cases has been uprising.

These transaction were done while I was sleeping and I had since terminated the card.

Often, we do have OTP triggered to us while such transaction was made but no there isn’t to me.

I am not a gamer and I do not play games let alone buying credits with a credit card I had just received merely less than a month.

Called in UOB centre and they told me to make a police report as the transaction was LEGITIMATE. Wow

To date, no follow up was given to me and when I called in, I was asked to make this payment which was not done by me.

Any idea how to resolve this issue?

Netizens’ comments

  • Make police report, with the report, UOB can initiate a charge back with game company and the registered account will be banned.
  • Always disable overseas card usage when you are not travelling, just 5 seconds to do so via app.
  • This happened to me about 6-8 year’s ago on CIMB credit card. Unauthorized transaction until one day the bank staffs call me. 1st credit card terminated, issue with 2nd credit card once activated the unauthorised transaction happened again I haven’t use the 2nd credit card yet? Terminated the 2nd credit card again. Issue with 3nd credit card I never activate the credit card but try to login to one of the unauthorised transaction website pretend for transaction. To me suprise my 3nd credit card details in the purchasing payment page? I straight away cancelled the credit card never use CIMB BANK credit card again.
  • Not only uob, its happened to me for DBS and Maybank. No otp from Maybank but luckily I received otp and notification from DBS so I called both banks immediately to cxl my cards. Sometimes you accidentally clicked a link without knowing it and they fish your credit card details and shopping happily. Now there are many pop up advertisements while using the phone so be careful not to click on all these advertisement links.

WOMAN’S 12 Y.O AUTISTIC SON CAN’T WEAR MASK IN BUS BECAUSE WILL “MELTDOWN”, DRIVER REFUSES TO DRIVE

0

Hi, I would like to bring awareness to public about masks wearing for special needs individuals. I’m very disappointed with SBS driver of bus 76.

I am a mother of 12 years old son (autism and non-verbal). We boarded bus 76 opposite AMK Big Mac centre at around 7.40pm.

Despite showing the special needs card and explaining to the bus driver that my son is special needs, the bus driver refused to start the bus unless my son put on a mask.

I told him out of 10 buses I took all the 10 buses allowed us to board the bus. He say he is merly following SOP and will call HQ to check.

I’ve told him that government allowed special needs to be exception in wearing mask. I told him to go ahead and make it a quick 1 as I do not want to waste other passengers time and I apologize to all the passengers as this is wasting everybody time.

I also told him that I will lodge a feedback on this issue and he challenged me to go ahead. As I was waiting, a middle aged guy walked up to me and offered a mask.

I explained that I also have masks in my bag but my son will have meltdown if I forced put on him. This guy seems pissed and walked away.

I’m quite pressured with glares from the passengers as the bus driver refused to start the bus. In the end, the call was taking too long to be answered and I have no choice but to ask my husband and son to alight the bus and wait for another bus.

This is the first time such unfortunate incident happened as we have met really awesome drivers previously. We tried calling the SBS transit call centre for help but there’s nobody answering the call.

We are not trying to make things difficult for people but just disappointed that public awareness of special needs are so bad.

It is not easy to be caregiver of special needs. We just hope to be treated fairly with due respect too.

It is fortunate that my son did not have a meltdown due to this and my husband is with me. I cannot imagine the case if my son is to have a meltdown due to this.

MAN WHO SET MARSILING MINIMART BOSS ON FIRE, GETS MURDER CHARGE AFTER VICTIM DIED

0

65-year-old Tan Kheng Hock, who was earlier charged with attempted murder last month, has had his charge amended to murder after the victim died.

He had allegedly set 37-year-old Heck Hock Minimart owner Tan Khim Hee on fire after pouring accelerant on him for not selling him beer on 28 December last year.

Tay will be remanded at the Changi Prison Complex medical centre and his case had been adjourned to 27 January.

Upon conviction, he faces the death penalty.

Recap

He had set the victim, a minimart owner, on fire after the latter had refused to sell him beer.

The Singapore Police Force said on 29 December that they received a call for help on 28 December at about 10.12pm.

When the police officers arrived, they found the 37-year-old victim with burn injuries, and he was then subsequently conveyed to the hospital.

The 65-year-old was arrested at the scene and charged with attempted murder under the penal code earlier this morning (30 December).

A worker surnamed Ng, who works nearby told Mothership that the 65-year-old man, Tay Kheng Hock, had gone to Heng Hock Minimart at Block 210 to buy some beer, but was rejected by the victim, 37-year-old shop owner Tan Khim Hee.

Tay then purportedly got upset and poured accelerant on the victim, before setting him on fire using a lighter.

The worker said that she was not sure where Tay got his hands on the accelerant, and that her coworker had went to retrieve a fire extinguisher from a laundromat nearby to put out that fire on the victim.

The victim’s whole body was engulfed in flames and he was screaming in pain.

According to the worker, the accused lives in the vicinity.
