MAN SHOCKED THAT HE HAS TO PAY $0.50 MORE FOR MILK IN FISH SOUP @ VIVO CITY

0

A man in Singapore was recently told to pay an additional 50 cents for adding a common condiment – milk – into his fish soup.

This incident, which occurred at a popular fish soup stall in Vivo city, has sparked an uproar among Singaporeans over what they perceive to be an unjust and excessive fee.

50 cents for a splash of milk?

The netizen who posted the receipt on Facebook said: “Hmmm… I didn’t know Fish soup if wanna add milk must pay $0.50 now… Is it the norm nowadays?”

The man had ordered a fish soup from the stall and asked for a serving of milk to be added to it. To his surprise, the stall attendant did not even tell him that an additional 50 cents charge was applied for the milk.

Only after looking that the receipt he realised he has been charged an extra 50 cents.

However, the incident has since been shared widely on social media, with many calling out the stall for its unfair practices. Many Singaporeans feel that the fee is excessive given that milk is a common condiment which is available at other fish soup stalls in the area for no additional cost.

A netizen who saw the post said:

“Now hawker just anyhow charge, later if you use extra chopstick and spoon charge 20cents each.”

Many Singaporeans are still unhappy with the incident, citing it as an example of how establishments can take advantage of customers by charging exorbitant prices for basic condiments. Some have even called for a boycott of the stall, in protest of the 50 cents charge.

While it is understandable that businesses need to make a profit to stay afloat, Singaporeans feel that charging an additional fee for a basic condiment such as milk is an injustice. It remains to be seen whether the stall in question will be able to regain the trust of its customers, or if its reputation has been irrevocably tarnished by the incident.

COUPLES WHO ALWAYS POST ON SOCIAL MEDIA ARE LESS HAPPY THAN COUPLES WHO DON’T

0

Social media is a great way to stay connected with friends, family, and the world around us.

But for couples, it can be a tricky thing. While posting photos and updates can be a fun way to share your relationship with others, it can also be a source of stress and unhappiness for couples.

A recent study found that couples who always post on social media are less happy than couples who don’t.

As a couple, I’ve been through my fair share of ups and downs, and I’ll be the first to admit that social media can be a source of stress. From comparing our relationship to others, to feeling the pressure to post perfect pictures and updates, it can be hard to navigate the world of social media as a couple.

The study, conducted by researchers at the University of Kansas, surveyed over 300 couples. The participants were asked questions about their relationships, as well as their social media habits.

The results showed that couples who always posted on social media were less happy than couples who didn’t post.

The researchers determined that couples who always post are more likely to compare their relationship to others. When you’re constantly seeing other couples’ happy moments and perfect pictures, it can be hard to not compare yourself. This can lead to feelings of jealousy and insecurity, which can be damaging to a relationship.

Man shares his video about couples posting on social media:

Another issue with always posting on social media is that it can put pressure on couples to have the “perfect” relationship. When everything is posted for the world to see, it can be hard to be yourself and be authentic. The pressure to post the “perfect” pictures and updates can be overwhelming, and it can lead to feelings of stress and unhappiness.

The study also found that couples who post less often are less likely to compare their relationship to others. They also report feeling less pressure to have the “perfect” relationship. This means that couples who don’t post as often are more likely to be happy and authentic in their relationship.

I’m not saying that couples should never post on social media. It can be a great way to share your relationship with friends and family. But it’s important to be mindful of how often you post, and to be aware of the potential risks of always posting.

For me, I’ve found that it’s helpful to take a break from social media every once in a while. When I take a break, I feel less pressure to post perfect pictures and updates, and I feel more connected to my partner. I also find that I’m less likely to compare my relationship to others.

Overall, couples who always post on social media are less happy than couples who don’t. While it can be a fun way to share your relationship with others, it’s important to be mindful of how often you post, and to be aware of the potential risks. Taking a break from social media every once in a while can be a great way to help you stay connected with your partner and be authentic in your relationship.

THIEF PRETENDED TO HELP ELDERLY WOMAN, THEN STOLE HER WALLET WITH $700 INSIDE @ BENDEMEER

0

An 88-year-old elderly woman, Madam Shen, allegedly had her wallet stolen by a pickpocket who pretended to help her with her bags at Bendemeer, according to Shin Min Daily News.

She was on her way home in Bendemeer when a “kind samaritan” offered to help her put her groceries inside a plastic bag.

When Madam Shen returned home, she couldn’t find her wallet (which had $700 inside) and realised that it had been stolen.

She then lodged a police report and police investigations are currently ongoing.

Shin Min Daily News reported that the incident happened on 25 January, and Madam Shen was on her way home at the time after buying some daily necessities and some TOTO lottery tickets.

She was then stopped by a middle-aged woman who offered to help Madam Shen pack some pieces of cloth on her trolley into a plastic bag.

Madam Shen rejected her “help” and the woman then allegedly threw her things onto the floor, and Madam Shen was then left with no other choice but to bend down to pick up the things that the woman threw.

She then saw the woman opening the lid of her trolley as she got back up, and she asked the woman what she was doing.

The woman then got upset at being called out by the elderly woman and hastily left. At the time, Madam Shen didn’t notice anything was amiss at the time and continued on her way home.

Speaking to Shin Min Daily News, Madam Shen said that she didn’t realise her wallet was gone until she reached home and started packing her things.

She had lost her wallet which had about $700 in cash inside, as well as the TOTO lottery tickets that she had purchased.

The Singapore Police Force confirmed that they have received a report of the alleged theft and are investigating the incident.

MAN RAN AWAY FROM HOME CAUSE HE DIDN’T WANT TO BE CIRCUMCISED, RETURN 25 YEARS LATER

0

A man in Indonesia ran away from home because he didn’t want to be circumcised, and only returned home and reunited with his family 25 years later.

A circumcision is the surgical removal of the skin covering the tip of a male person’s genitals, and is compulsory in some cultures and religions for males.

A video of his reunification with his family was posted on Instagram, showing him being welcomed home by his family as he cried.

As he walked down the alley, a woman at the opposite end broke down in tears and almost fainted upon seeing the boy.

The woman is his mother, who rushed over to hug her long-lost son after composing herself.

The 38-year-old Indonesian man had returned to his home in Klaten, Indonesia after 25 years, after he had initially run away from home to escape circumcision, according to the post’s caption.

An officer from the local district’s social welfare coordination team, Joko Prayitno, said that they managed to locate the man in a town called Bantul, with the help of a YouTuber.

Joko added that the man’s family had been looking for him for decades but couldn’t find him.

He further added that the man had suffered tremendous trauma and that his mental condition may not be at 100%, but is otherwise in good health.

He had lived as a homeless person in Bantul for more than 2 decades.

His older sister revealed that her brother had run away from home in 1998 because he didn’t want to get circumcised, as she recalled how he was bracing himself for the circumcision procedure.

However, that very morning, he decided to flee and run away.

Shouting like they need to go to the mental hospital because Yishun

At least two Police officers were on the scene separating the two groups. Shortly after the video started, another Police vehicle arrived, believing it is back up as there were multiple people in the argument.

A man was heard shouting asking them to “shut up” at the end of the video.
