WOMAN ASK HER BESTFRIEND TO PICK HER UP FROM THE AIRPORT EVEN THOUGH SHE STAY IN TAMPINES

0

Weeks ago I agreed to pick up my best friend and her sister from the airport and bring them home after they get back from a trip to New York City. When I agreed to do this, the flight was supposed to arrive at 12:30 am Sunday night/Monday morning (not that late).

However, the flight got delayed and now is not going to arrive until 2 am at the earliest. Am I being too straight for telling my best friend I can’t pick them up anymore? I have work in the morning and I have a history of being too friendly, I have to stand up myself and tell her I can’t pick them up that late but I’m afraid she says I “aeroplane” her.

For reference, a taxi from the airport to my best friend’s house at Tampines would be about less than $30 at this time of day, and it’s only a 15-minute ride.

WOMAN STOLE HER BESTFRIEND CRUSH BEHIND HER BACK

0

So I(F18) and my bf(M16) started dating about three(3) months ago. My best friend(F16) and I were really close, even though we only really became friends in January of this year(2022). My bf and I became friends about five(5) years ago at a church retreat and have been close ever since.

The situation comes up about four(4) months ago, maybe a few weeks before he and I start dating. I find out that she has a crush on him, and at that time I did not care as I did not think he liked me as I am slightly clueless and thought that he just really liked being friends with me as he talked to me a lot, and would find me out at church. I had a crush on him for about 3 of the 5 years that we had been friends, but I never acted on it as he is 2 years younger than I am, and I assumed he would think I was too old for him.

Once I found out that she liked him, I took a little bit to decide if I wanted them to get together or not, and I ended up trying to get them together. She confessed to him and he said that he was not into dating for now and not into crushes. She was very upset and I tried to comfort her. About a week later I ended up telling her about how I have had a crush on him for 3 years. She didn’t give much of a reaction other than asking if I was sure.

I thought that was the end of that conversation, but I was wrong. 2 days later I find out that she told him and he didn’t say anything about it. That night, after being on a call with him, as we had been on calls at night for about 3 days of that week, he ended up confessing that he liked me at one point. I thought it was sort of funny and told him to go to bed and that we talk about it later.

That Sunday, which was another 2 days later, I end up flirting with him all night in front of her, as he didn’t care that she was annoyed by our flirting. As he drove me home that night, he told me that he had liked me since we had met and never made a move because he thought that I would have said that he was too young for me. At the end of that week, we started dating.

That was April 15, Good Friday. We hid from her the fact that we were dating until May 18, as we didn’t want her to be mad at us as he did say he was not into dating. Now she was mad at us for a while but then things got better until recently when she decided to no longer be friends with me but restarted being friends with my bf again, which I don’t mind.

So am I being bad for stealing her crush?

WOMEN SET A RULE IN RELATIONSHIPS SAYING NO R.A FILM IS ALLOWED

0

So me (22f) and my friend (20f) we are hanging out earlier today, just having our usual girls hang out (talking, fat jokes, relationship jokes, dirty jokes, etc.) and the subject of her new boyfriend came up.

Every time she dates someone, she gives them this rule that they can’t watch RA films because she views that as cheating, which I’m totally fine with it’s whatever, although I have always thought that the rule was kind of funny but I have never told her that. That is until now.

While in the middle of telling me that she was planning to tell her boyfriend this I say “You know I have always thought that was kind of funny that you have made that a rule.”

At first, she seemed to react normally to it but within 5 minutes she was bursting into tears saying how I was “a horrible person for saying that” and went on a long story about how she was hurt throughout her childhood and this rule is a result of that, (none of which I knew about) and afterwards she left my house. When I tried to text or call her, she would not pick up at all.

Am I the horrible person for making such a joke of what I saw at the time as a harmless joke?

MOTHER CALLS DAUGHTER “BROKEN” AS SHE IS INTERESTED IN THE SAME GENDER

0

Recently, I (18F) broke up with my boyfriend and I began to start to question if I am interested in the same gender. I’m still quite unsure and am trying to figure things out.

My mom was very surprised since admittedly, my ex was what society would define as conventionally attractive and had an amazing boyfriend overall.

She thought my ex did something that hurt me so I assured her that it wasn’t his fault and that I did not feel the “spark”. While I thought she was being overly dramatic, I did understand her pov so I didn’t act up or anything but when she said “Maybe in the future I’ll find a better man.”, I disagreed and told her I most likely will never date again.

She was shocked by this statement and asked why and I decided maybe I should just tell her that I MIGHT be attracted to the same gender.

Now, my mom was raised in a kampong and isn’t very educated with the whole LGBTQ+ community and was upset that I would even entertain the idea of myself being a Les.

She called me “broken” and assured me that we could try to “fix” that but no matter how much I tried to reassure her that being like this is normal, she was still really worried and upset.

Eventually, this got to a breaking point where I was just frustrated with her and just said that if anything, me never wanting a partner could just be her fault since she and my dad are just suffering while being married to each other even though they don’t love each other anymore.

I could tell my mom was hurt by this since it was true that she and my dad have stopped loving each other a long time ago. My mom deeply regrets the decisions made when she was younger but still decided to stay married since she wanted to give her children a complete home. However, there was always a lack of affection between my parents and right now, they’re just tolerating each other (they don’t even sleep in the same bedroom)

Deep down there was some truth in my own statement since growing up, I’ve always been scared of ending up in a marriage like my parents, which was one of the reasons why I began to question if I was just fearful of relationships.

The embattled YouTube channel Night Owl Cinematics (NOC) is in the middle of three lawsuits.

The first lawsuit was filed by NOC against CEO Sylvia Chan’s ex-husband Ryan Tan’s Reno King and a person named Tan Weiwen.

It is unclear who Tan Weiwen is but according to an article by AsiaOne back in 2014, Ryan was addressed as “Ryan Tan Weiwen” in the article.

And the other two lawsuits are between NOC’s subsidiary channel, Team NOC against their former artistes, Samantha Tan and Grace Lim.

Sylvia’s NOC vs Ryan’s Reno King

A pre-trial conference for the NOC vs Reno King lawsuit was held on 13 July at the High Court, with the case being categorised under “employment”.

Reno King is a video production company that was set up by Ryan Tan, Sylvia Chan’s estranged ex-husband and the co-founder of NOC.

Reno King is being represented by Jennifer Fong, Muhammad Imran Bin Abdul Rahim, Lawrence Tan and Mendel Yap from Eldan Law LLP.

NOC is being represented by Marissa Tan from Edmond Pereira Law Corporation.

Team NOC vs Grace Lim and Samantha Tan

The hearings for Team NOC vs their former artistes Grace Lim and Samantha Tan were listed as court dispute resolutions and the nature of the cases also stated “employment”

Team NOC vs Lim was held on 22 July last 2.30pm while Team NOC vs Samantha was held on 25 July at 2.30pm.

Grace Lim is being represented by Jasjeet Singh and Sunil Singh Panoo from Dhillon & Panoo LLC, while the other defendant Samantha Tan is being represented by Chooi Jing Yen and Chen Yongxin from Eugene Thuraisingam LLP.

Team NOC is being represented by the same counsels as the NOC vs Reno King case; Marissa Tan from Edmond Pereira Law Corporation.

GUY MET SIAM BU ONLINE, MET HER IN THAILAND BUT SHE TURNED OUT “TOO LARGE”

0
I feel guilty for ending an online relationship over their weight after several months of talking and then meeting in person

Basically as what I said I had been talking to somebody online for about 5 months or so. We lived in different countries and it was entirely unintentional on both parts.

We happened to be in the same discord server and clicked extremely well. Honestly, I can’t say anything negative about her as a person. She treated me extremely well in that time, we had some common interests, and I even found myself falling in love with her at one point or another. I said “I love you” embarrassingly early, about a month in.

No person has ever treated me as well as She did which is why this is so conflicting for me.

Anyway, I flew to Thailand last week and once we met in person I realized that she was a bit bigger than I had thought. I’ve seen photos, and I’ve video chatted with her multiple times but she were still a bit different than what I imagined.

Because of this I was no longer physically attracted to her. I spent a few days with her to see if I could get over it and I just couldn’t. I was honest, she didn’t take it well and yeah we haven’t spoken since. I flew home way earlier than planned.

Anyways… should I try reaching out and apologizing? Should I try making it work even? Am I being shallow? Physical attraction is so important in a relationship and I just can’t see what I did as being wrong. Though I will say they are definitely valid in their feelings. So guys, Could I have handled it better?

WAITING TIME FOR PASSPORT RENEWAL WILL BE REDUCED TO 1 WEEK BY YEAR-END

0

The Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) said that the waiting time for new passports to be processed should be reduced to about 1 week by the end of this year, as reported by The Straits Times.

It will be significantly shorter than the average 6-week waiting time that was estimated back in May earlier this year.

The ICA said that they are aiming for a one-week processing time after looking at the number of applications for passport renewals per day and how many they can process.

This comes in the wake of a surge in passport applications back in April when the international borders of most countries started opening IP.

ICA received more than 7,000 applications per day back in May 2022, much more than the 2,000+ applications they received daily prior to the pandemic.

ICA had also deployed 300 officers from other work units to the passport unit, and they can now produce about 6,500 passports per day, with the officers working around the clock.
