A 41-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of being a member of an illegal society.

Officers from the Criminal Investigation Department and the Central Police Division conducted an operation at Block 114 McNair Road on September 23, 2021.

During the funeral procession, the 41-year-old man reportedly yelled the motto of an illegal society, according to preliminary findings. The police inquiry is still underway. During the funeral procession, police also investigated individuals into any breaches of COVID-19 safe distancing measures (SDM).

Anyone found guilty of being a member of an unlawful society under section 14(3) of the Societies Act faces a fine of not more than $5,000, a sentence of not more than three years in jail, or both.

Anyone convicted of violating a control order under the COVID-19 (Temporary Measures) (Control Order) Regulations 2020 will face a fine of up to $10,000, a period of imprisonment of up to six months, or both if it is their first conviction.

A woman was spotted by a netizen occupying the reserved seat and sleeping in the MRT, in the post many netizens said that she should pay for at least the travel fare of 2 passengers.

But the product is stated as ‘best before’ meaning it’s not expired.

What is the difference between the “best before” and “expiry” dates?

After this date, the food will be safe to consume, but it may not be at its finest. Its flavor and texture may be inferior.

A YP posted a “confession” of sorts, revealing that he has “feelings” for his hot science teacher.

A photo emerged online showing an Ah Pek cutting his toenails inside the MRT.

He was seen with his bare foot on the MRT seat, cutting his tornails with a scrunged up used tissue paper on it as well.

The man was also not wearing his mask properly, as his cut toenails were scattered all over the place.

The incident happened along the East West Line @ Choa Chu Kang.
