TAIWAN SINGER ANGELA ZHANG’S MOTHER STOLE $3.4M FROM HER SAVINGS

0

Speaking during an episode on 15 April on the Chinese variety show, Ace versus Ace, Taiwanese singer Angela Zhang opened up about her relationship with her family.

She reflected on being diagnosed with a heart condition back in 2008, and her mother purportedly refused to help her financially.

Her mother told her that they had no money, which Zhang said was impossible because her mother was the one handling all of her finances.

Zhang then discovered that her mother had secretly transferred all of her property to her (her mother) name and was shocked to see her home being sealed up for seizure, describing it as feeling betrayed.

Zhang’s mother, Jiang Rouyi; her father, Zhang Zhihong; and her uncle, Jiang Lile, called her out in a magazine interview in 2009, calling her an “unfilial daughter” for refusing to help them financially.

Zhang then hit back at them during a press conference, saying that her mother stole her savings of about SGD$3.41 million (about NT$100 million).

She also expressed how grateful she was to her younger sister who traveled to Taiwan to help her, adding that she would’ve been homeless had it not been for her sister’s help.

WOMAN FIND IT HARDER TO FIND A PARTNER AFTER HITTING 30 YEARS OLD

0

I’m a woman turning 30 this year and I’m finding it really hard to find a partner. Most guys looking are in their early 20s and most guys my age are already with someone.

I work in audit and I work very long hours. I admit I’m married to my job but it doesn’t mean I don’t want to “settle down.” And by “settle down” I just mean having someone I can partner with for the rest of my life. I don’t even care if I have children. I’m indifferent. I just want a guy whom I can spend time and grow old with.

Been on several dates and I realize very few guys want commitment. I only had one relationship that failed because he cheated on me and justified it by claiming I’m too busy with my work. I have already tried my best to spend time with him but audit is a really tough job. But anyway, that’s in the past.

I want a low-maintenance guy who can be comfortable being by himself but who is happy to spend time together when time permits. Surely there are guys like that? Don’t guys have to work in the 30s as well?

All the house-husband types are already taken.

Here are what netizens think:

  • I’m dating anything that walks, please take me
  • There is definitely someone out there who is also scratching his head and searching high and low for a girl like you. Just that both of you could have missed each another or you both have not met. Be a little patient, and look around. He could be around you. Good luck and don’t give up hope.
  • Find a house husband like already house husband so when u free can go n talk n grow old with him, when u r not free he can work on his family…

GIRL’S EX-BF OF 6 YEARS SUDDENLY TEXTED HER, SAYS HE “MISSES” HER

0

My ex of 6 years messaged me last night

I loved him when I was in school. Asked him out, went out for 3 months. Those 3 months were outright awful.

He was emotionally closed off, never wanted to call me, never texted first, never told me he missed me.

Looking back at it, I can’t even call it dating. If I didn’t text him first, he didn’t message for weeks. I told him I loved him, and he told me to stop being a distraction in his life.

Then why say yes to going out with me?! That’s when I decided that I came first and never messaged him ever again after saying I was done.

He texted me yesterday night, after 6 whole years. He misses me, he feels the same, he didn’t have the courage to say it all this time, he wants to go out with me.

The audacity?! I don’t even know him anymore. I have had no contact with him. Why now? What makes him think he can waltz back into my life after all these years?

There’s no way I’m going back.

Netizens’ comments

  • “New phone, who dis?”
  • said he misses you? after 6 years have passed and you only dated for 3 months? my bs radar is screaming. this dude sounds like he’s desperately trying to get some skin.
  • Don’t let this be round 2 of what happened last time. He’s not worth it

BABYSITTER JAILED FOR POISONING INFANTS, HAS HER APPEAL DISMISSED

Sa’adiah Jamari was previously sentenced to 7 years imprisonment in October 2020 for poisoning two infants with a myriad of drugs.

She had her appeal against her conviction dismissed on Tuesday (19 April) by Justice Aedit Abdullah, where she argued that other people could have poisoned the victims and that she didn’t possess all the drugs that were found in the infants bodies.

Jamari also made similar arguments during her trial in the lower courts before her eventual conviction in October 2020.

The two victims were unrelated, and aged 5 months and 11 months at the time of the offenses back in 2016.

The infants were taken to the hospital by their mothers after their mothers noticed them behaving unusually and being drowsy after picking them up from Jamari.

They were then hospitalized and the doctors then found drugs in their systems, with the 5-month-old child being found with 10 different drugs, including anxiety medications, muscle relaxants, and sleeping aids.

However, both victims were discharged a few days after responding well to treatment.

Jamari is planning to file an application to the Court of Appeal on a question of law of public interest stemming from her appeal.

She was also allowed to be out on bail but ordered to serve her sentence on 17 May should the application not be filed on time.

MAN HEARS DAUGHTER CALLING HER BF “DADDY” IN BED, DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO

0

I frequently hear my 19yo daughter and her boyfriend getting intimate. She calls him “daddy” in bed and it freaks me out. I don’t know what to say to her.

So just to preface my daughter is obviously an adult woman and can sleep with whoever she wants and it’s none of my business or at least I wish it was. I get that she’s not a little girl anymore and that means she’s gonna date guys and do adult things. I get that and that’s okay it’s just she’s really loud and vocal. It makes me super uncomfortable.

It’s been just me and her for about 5 years now and she just started seeing this guy. He’s great! I genuinely like him, he treats her right, he’s respectful to me and he’s even helped with a few jobs around the house I’m getting kind of old for. He’s a great young man and I genuinely hope things get serious and he marries her because even though they’ve only been together a few months because honestly I was expecting a lot worse fro. her first adult boyfriend and this guy made me sigh in relief.

That being said I fully expected they’d sleep together eventually and when talking to my daughter about him I told her if she needed condoms or birth control of any kind and wasn’t able to get the let me know. I got an embarrassed “Daaaaaaaaaad!” out of her but I was completely serious. While the concept of my daughter getting intimate is definitely uncomfortable for me I’d rather make sure she’s being safe and would much rather pay for condoms or pills than a baby. More than that though I don’t ever want her to be afraid to talk to me about anything. As uncomfortable as a lot of this is for me she’s all I got so I gotta suck it up.

Anyway last weekend her boyfriend came over and I offered to throw some burgers on the grill and she said, “No thanks daddy we’re gonna watch a movie.” So I told them okay have fun! Cracked a couple beers open and started grilling. Well when I came inside with the burgers that’s when I heard it. The faint rattling and moaning upstairs. My daughter was being very vocal and at one point I hear “daddy” and it made my stomach drop. I honestly felt really gross. I know that might just be what she calls him and she’s not thinking about me but to be honest I don’t like hearing it either way.

Thankfully due to them being 19 it didn’t last very long but god it made me uncomfortable. I want to say something to her to maybe ask her to not be so loud but I don’t want to embarrass her since I heard her call him daddy. I just don’t want to hear it again so I can pretend she doesn’t call him daddy.

I left for awhile and texted her and said, “Walls in this house are thin. I’m going to the store for a beer run. Do you or daddy need anything?”

She texted back while I was checking out and apologized profusely and was obviously super embarrassed. I told her it’s fine, I don’t care what they do, I just don’t want to hear it for obvious reasons. I also made sure they’re being safe. She’s on the pill and he’s wearing a rubber so that’s a load off my mind on top of everything else. Other daddy even made a point to apologize to me in person when I got home. I told him since they’re being safe and he’s good to my daughter he’s got nothing to apologize for it’s just awkward for all parties involved. I asked if for now they could refrain from doing it here. I think I need to step up my plan to replace the insulation in this house.

GUY FED UP WITH FRIENDS USING THEIR PHONES WHEN THEY GO OUT

0

What do you do when your friends are on the phone every time when you go out?

So i had 2 really recent experience which made me angry. 1 was for breakfast another was for outing (5pm to 11pm)

For breakfast, i managed to book a timing with my best friend and we went out to eat. When we met, i was berated for my life choices (education and talking style) then once we arrive and start ordering all the way till we went home, this person was on the phone texting or whatever.

I tried to talk and create subject (new phone/laptop/cute animals/gossips/jobs) but what the freak. Even when he put the phone down, he would be staring at it while cutting his bacon or egg or sausage.

Once we finished eating i suggested going for a stroll through the shopping mall to see some cool stuff or anything that catch our attention.

Whilst walking through the assortment of cool equipment and saying how “wa this is cool, wa maybe we can go do this with that equipment” i realised i was leading the way and it’s too quiet, so i turned around and see what? 10 meters away using phone.

At this point i just said “lets just go home”. Took the bus, all the way back, I stared out the window wondering why even try to make time for breakfast with others when i can do all this myself lmao. And i know it isn’t work related…

For my 2nd encounter with another good friend of mine. All this person wanted was to take photos. From ordering food to walking around. Photo photo photo.

I practically became a free photographer. And every photo i took i got critiqued, whether it be my angling, lighting or timing.

Like…i asked you out to catch up and have fun. Not become your photographer for 5 hours straight. Went home and slept immediately.

So my question is, what do you do here?

Netizen’s comments

Leave. Clearly not respecting your time and you as a person so why stick around?

If first person wants to spend time on his phone, they can do it at home.
