93 Y.O WOMAN PASSED AWAY FROM COVID-19 COMPLICATIONS

 Case 71194, a 93 year-old female Singaporean, has passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection on 8 September 2021.

She had developed symptoms on 2 September, and was conveyed to the National Centre for Infectious Diseases on 5 September, where she tested positive for COVID-19 infection. She had not been vaccinated against COVID-19, and had a history of diabetes mellitus, chronic kidney disease, hypertension and hyperlipidaemia. In total,

56 have passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection. 

MERCEDES TRUCK HELPS GRAB RIDER DELIVER FASTER BY MAKING IT FLY

A video of an accident involving a Mercedes truck and a Motorcycle has been making its rounds on social media.

The accident happened on 6 September at around 1348 hours at the junction of Woodlands Road and Sungei Kadut Ave.

The Mercedes truck failed to stop and crashed into the rider, sending him flying.

Luckily, he seems to be okay as he could still stand up and walk towards the truck.

MAN JAILED 10 WEEKS FOR PUNCHING WOMAN IN THE FACE @ BUKIT MERAH VIEW HAWKER

According to a district court hearing, 61-year-old Cho Wai Keong was accused of assaulting a woman that is also 61-years-old at Bukit Merah View Hawker Centre.

The man was drinking at the hawker centre when the incident happened, the victim was seated at a table next to him and she started to talk loudly.

The man then told her to keep the volum down but she refused and started arguing with the man. This lead to the man walking towards her and swinging his fist to her face.

He then struck her head against the table before leaving the area.

The woman eventually had bleeding in her brain and reported the incident later to the Police leading to his sentence.

CYCLIST REPORTS PRIME MOVER TO POLICE BECAUSE HE THINKS HE PAYS MORE ROAD TAX

A cyclist was unhappy after a prime mover drove close to him and he decided to report it to the Police.

Although nothing happen he expected the vehicle to give way to him, if the vehicle were to give him any more space the vehicle would have been driving on the wrong side of the road.

The man said:

“Just submitted police report for this prime mover XD8967C whose driver has no qualms running over anyone in his path. Hope to save someone’s life (motorcycles, small cars, cyclists, pedestrians, anyone) by raising awareness of his driving and have the authorities deal with him.

It’s probably not his first time, and unlikely will be his last until someone gets hurt”

TERRY XU RAISE OVER $150,000 IN 8 DAYS, GATHERING OVER 73.3%

Terry Xu who was ordered to pay the Prime Minister SGD$210,000 has posted earlier today stating that he has raise SGD$153,988.87.

The most generous donation is SGD$5,000 and the lowest denomination was $0.01.

The amount gathered so far is 73.33% of the total amount so far. He is still $56,001.13 away from the target sum.

He thanks everyone who has contributed.

YPS NO WEAR MASK IN GROUP OF 7, POINTING MIDDLE FINGERS AT SMMS

A video emerged online showing a group of YPs gathering in a group of 7, with about 5 of them not wearing their masks properly.

They were seen pointing middle fingers, presumably to show their thoughts and feelings for the prevailing safe management measures.

First-time offenders who breach safe distancing measures are fined $300.

For non-compliance with safe management measures under the COVID-19 offenders may be jailed for up to six months, fined up to S$10,000, or both.

If they are caught by the Police for not wearing a mask or not wearing a mask properly they can be charged under the Covid-19 (Temporary Measures) (Control Order) Regulations 2020.

Penalties include a fine of up to SGD$10,000 and jailed for up to six months.

TORTOISE OWNSELF OPEN FRONT GATE AND ESCAPED, CAUGHT BY PASSERBY

A video emerged online showing a tortoise opening the front gates of its owner’s house by itself.

The little guy then escaped from the house and wandered across the street, around the road.

A car passing by stopped in front of the tortoise and managed to catch it, returning it to the owner.

However, the tortoise once again opened the gate by itself and escaped again.

It is unclear if it has been caught or not.

GROUP OF XIAO BENGS GO TO MCDONALD’S DRIVE-THRU IN THEIR “CAR”

A video emerged online showing a group of xiao didi who presumably don’t have a car but still want to order from the McDonald’s Drive Thru.

They then climbed on top of one another to form a makeshift “car”.

It is unclear where the incident happened or who the boys are.

CNB ARREST 6 MEN SEIZING DRUGS WORTH OVER $200,000

Four Singaporean males aged 22 to 55 and two Singaporean ladies aged 22 and 35 were detained for alleged drug-related activities in the latest drug raids by Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) agents on September 7, 2021.

During the raids at several locations around Singapore, a total of 2,804g of heroin, 109g of ‘Ice,’ 225g of cannabis, 212 ‘Ecstasy’ pills and fragments, and five Erimin-5 tablets were recovered. The narcotics confiscated are worth more than $222,000, according to estimates.

Buangkok Crescent

CNB police detained a 37-year-old Singaporean man on the void deck of an apartment building at Buangkok Crescent in the late afternoon of September 7. He was searched, and three bundles containing around 1,873g of heroin were discovered on him. A search of the 37-year-old man’s car yielded 1 gram of ‘Ice,’ 1 gram of cannabis, and other drug paraphernalia.

He was then taken to his flat in the same building, where a search of the unit was done. Three sachets carrying about 8 grams of heroin as well as other drug paraphernalia were discovered.

Edgefield Walk

A different group of CNB police detained a 22-year-old Singaporean guy in the ground floor elevator lobby of an apartment building near Edgefield Walk on the same afternoon. He was searched, and two packed packets containing about 29g of “Ice” were taken from him.

The 22-year-old male was escorted to his vehicle, where a 22-year-old Singaporean female who was waiting inside the vehicle was also arrested.

CNB police detained a 55-year-old Singaporean guy at the void deck during a follow-up operation conducted in the evening at the same apartment complex at Edgefield Walk. The 55-year-old man was then taken to his flat in the same building, where a 35-year-old Singaporean woman had been detained. A search of the apartment yielded 67 packets and 49 straws containing about 923 grams of heroin, 32 packets containing approximately 73 grams of ‘Ice,’ 212 ‘Ecstasy’ pills and fragments, five Erimin-5 tablets, and other drug paraphernalia.

West Coast Road

CNB police detained a 48-year-old Singaporean guy in the vicinity of West Coast Road in a follow-up operation the same day in the evening. A search of the 48-year-old man’s car yielded three packets containing approximately 6 grams of ‘Ice,’ five packets containing approximately 224 grams of cannabis, and other drug paraphernalia.

347 COVID-19 CASES REPORTED TODAY

According to the Ministry of Health, As of 8 September 2021, 12 pm, the Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed 347 new cases of locally transmitted COVID-19 infection.

The ministry did not provide the number of unlinked cases.

A total of 349 new Covid-19 cases were reported on Wednesday.

MOH will release further details tonight
