GUY WANTS TO “LAM TINH KONG SAI BAO” WITH SISTERS IN LAW

A netizen has reached out to us after seeing a recent post of ours on our page regarding a guy using the tamil word “pundei” in the wrong context.

Here is his story

”Hi guys, I read your post about a guy who used the word “pundei” in the wrong context when speaking to his girlfriend’s mother and I would like to share something similar that happened to me.

I am married to a Vietnamese girl for a few years and there was this incident few years ago whereby I was supposed to go back to Ho Chi Minh City with her to visit her family.

Wanting to impress them and to break the ice, I asked a guy friend of mine who learnt his Vietnamese from the KTV here and is fluent in Vietnamese to teach me a few lines in Vietnamese.

He taught me “lam tinh kong sai bao” and said that it means “hello, good morning” in Vietnamese.

Innocently, I flew to Vietnam with the little Vietnamese that I know with my wife.

As it was late when we arrived, we headed to bed once we reached her maiden home.

I woke up the next morning and saw my two sister in laws in the hallway.

Wanting to impress them with the little Vietnamese that I learnt, I waved and smiled at them and said “lam tinh kong sai bao”.

Upon hearing that, their faces changed and both of them gave me a slap before they made a fuss and woke my wife up to complain.

My wife then confronted me and pinched my ear and asked me where did I learn it from and if I knew what I was saying.

I told her the whole story of how I learnt this phrase and she told me that it actually means “sex without condom”.

I went to google the meaning and was so embarrassed and apologised profusely to my two sisters in laws though I really would not mind “lam tinh kong sai bao” with them.

After that incident, I was banned from meeting my friend ever again.”

BUYER BUYS 2ND HAND GOODS ON CAROUSELL EXPECTS IT TO BE PERFECT

Awareness post – sharing my recent unfortunate experiences for Carousell unhappy purchase recently.

Honestly, there is nothing much U can do when u buy on this platform. Just went thru a big hassle with a Seller who sold me a “defective” piano or maybe “made faulty by movers due to alignments.”

I was also not able to claim the moving insurance from the mover I got to move my $4800 piano purchase. Tested at Seller house ok leh but after move by movers back home strings are broken, keys falling off.

Complain to Carousell also can’t help as responsible leaves the Seller once our movers take over the stuff we buy. Seller said moving fault probably and consumer to consumer private sale, no lemon law or torts to protect buyers.

Buy at risk if want cheaper deal In the end, I paid for the repair and restringing of the piano which came up to $590.

The chapter is closed with me the buyer at the losing end. Make a police report no use. Must come out $ fight the civil case, waste time and emotionally stressed. Think twice before buying on carousell

CHANGI AIRPORT TO REOPEN TERMINAL 1 & 3 TO THE PUBLIC FROM 1 SEPT ONWARDS

The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) and Changi Airport Group (CAG) announced in a statement on Friday that Terminals 1 and 3 will be reopened to the public from 1 September onwards.

The terminals previously saw a 3 month closure due to the pandemic.

Arriving passengers will be segregated from the public, as Singapore expects to see an increase in traveler numbers following their border restrictions being eased.

Han Kok Juan, the director-general of CAAS, said:

“We are satisfied with the safeguards put in place by CAG and the airport community for the reopening of Terminals 1 and 3.

“As Singapore takes cautious steps to further reopen our borders, we need to ensure that Changi Airport remains a safe airport for travellers coming into and transiting through.”

A YP shared a story criticising the Marsiling Yew Tee Town Council’s decision to remove the skatepark equipment due to feedback from the residents about Safe Distancing Measures being broken and the barricaded nettings being damaged.

He then called the Town Council “dumb f**ks” who constructed the park near HDB.

He himself also inadvertently admitted to breaching the safe-distancing measures because “it’s been too long that you guys closed since February”,

He added that they had no choice but to break the law because they waited “for so long for the park to reopen”, so it is now “not our taichi to do it by left”.

She also punched the maid in the eye socket and her arm.

Her ex-colleagues at an airline company spoke to us that she was never a kind person, she would often behave in a racist manner and give briefings in Malay language and then asked the other races if they understood her briefing.
