A chef was arrested after he followed a maid home who went to his working face to takeaway food. He eventually followed her into the elevator and squeeze her breasts.

The maid called the police and the chef ended up in jail for 6 months.

The defendant Abdul Rasim (55 years old) was a chef at a restaurant along Chai Chee Road when the case was committed. The 38-year-old victim often went to the restaurant to buy food.

They eventually became friends and even exchanged their contact numbers.

What happened?

On 25 December 2020, at around, the victim went to the restaurant and packed food as per usual. But this time the Chef followed her after her purchase and even entered the lift where the maid was staying.

After the elevator door closed the defendant suddenly hugged the victim and groped her breast from behind. The victim was informed of what had happened to her employer and the incident was reported to the Police.

Anyone convicted of outrage of modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code shall be punished with an imprisonment term which may extend to two years, or a fine, or caning, or any combination of such punishments.

As he is over 50-years-old he cannot be caned.

A group of six-man were seen “lepak-ing” at the roadside and not wearing any masks.

However, netizens said that they might be working together as their clothes state “crew” on their backs. Another netizen state that they might be movers taking a break however they should not be sitting together in such a large group in public

First-time offenders who breach safe distancing measures are fined $300.

The witness ran after the man and took his photo.

Asking for advice here. My boyfriend is paying for my tuition fees and giving me a monthly allowance which is the only reason I’m dating him and I want to break up with him after graduation.

I know that it is bad that I am using him only for money but he was the one that offered to pay for my tuition fees and he is also unattractive in every way (looks, personality etc) and I am young and from a struggling family.

I do not plan to repay him the money he spent on me since he never said I have to.

Would he be able to sue me for the money he willingly offered me if I break up with him?
