A netizen shared a story about the Big John, a 90kg man-sized dummy that is used during training to simulate casualties during rescue scenarios.
Here is what the Big John dummy looks like.
A story was spreading that a recruit was trapped inside a storeroom, and he later found out that a Big John was blocking the door with its hands on the handle of the door.
One night, the Guard HQ saw a live CCTV footage of 3 of the dummies getting up and walking near the recruits who were prowling during their guard duty.
The HQ then immediately told them to shorten their patrol and return.
They then saw the dummies turning around and swaying to the front of the cameras.
A netizen shared about a frightening experience she had one night when she was sleeping.
She wrote that she was in bed one night and she suddenly felt like she couldn’t move.
She then immediately saw a dark figure standing at the foot of her bed.
She described the figure as a dark silhouette, and that she couldn’t see any features whatsoever.
She tried to scream but no sounds came out from her mouth.
Something was also pressing down on her body, and she was so afraid that she didn’t even dare to close her eyes because she feared that doing so would make the figure come closer.
She eventually broke free and the figure disappeared.
She rationalised it as sleep paralysis but when she looked at the floor where the figure was standing, she was speechless.
Facebook user Azlan Oppier claimed that the bakery Bake Inc. located at Admiralty MRT has unhygienic practices.
He said that the workers would often top up the empty trays of food without replacing the tray and they even place trays of food on the floor when doing the top-up.
Here is his post:
I received feedback about Bake Inc. (Admiralty MRT) placing their tray (some with bread/cakes) on the floor. When topping up, the tray goes into a rotation mode meaning highly likely the tray above is dirty/contaminated. Under the food safety regulations, this is a violation. Hopefully, the #Nea can warn them.
A netizen was shocked after realising that he/she was paying $2 just for the plastic packaging from a dessert stall located in Tiong Bahru.
Here is the story:
Just take note. from Tiong Bahru market food centre @ Tian Tian dessert stall.
Market hor, not the food court at Tiong Bahru Plaza. The plastic bowl packaging is $2 so this Cheng Teng cost $4.
I’m so shocked. Somehow I got a 趁火打劫 feeling… or is this the current standard now? For everyone to take note in case going there to taboo back..
Update – Confirmed real – cos I did not believe it and asked the seller why $4 (I gave $10 note and I got $6 back for 1 bowl of hot Cheng Teng). So was told takeaway is $2 more. Then I see the stall front also pasted the notice of $2 for plastics container takeaway. Too bad I didn’t notice before ordering.
Next time, our eyes must open big first or ask first (cannot assume it’s 50 cents). Lesson learned
