I had the most terrible experience with an uber driver. The driver was taking wrong directions as GPS was misguiding him, I tried to tell him the right directions, this Uber driver started shouting at me to stop disturbing him.
I said you are taking wrong route he yelled at me again and said you f***ing Indian keep quiet. I said what? he again cursed me to go and complain where ever you want, don’t mess with Singaporean.
I stayed quiet but he again shouted at me and said he will slap me, repeatedly saying f*** you. There was another lady in the car with an infant, she got totally scared with his behaviour.
I requested Uber to take quick strict action against him on racial comments, abusive language and threatening me again and again. This humiliating behaviour is not acceptable.
Uber did not take it seriously they offered me a refund of this trip rather than taking any action against this individual. Uber told me they have taken necessary action which I believe they have not as I can see this driver is still active on uber. Please help.

A netizen warned Carousell buyers to be careful of a seller who cheated her friend of $200.
Her friend had wanted to buy a fish tank from the seller, who asked to pay $150 before the meet up. In subsequent exchanges, the scammer did not reply even though the buyer kept pressing him to deliver the item and to do a refund.

I just want to share behind the scenes of the KPE incident earlier today the taxi caught fire.
It was this 2 brave gentlemen that has helped to put out the fire before the scdf help arrived. They are: Abdillah Alhabshee (far right) and Fuad Aziz (left, in striped shirt).

Despite being in a near-miss accident after beating a red light, this Caucasian female cyclist still found it necessary to flip a middle finger at the alert driver who managed to stop in time to avoid the accident.

Witnessed a heartwarming incident on the train at Raffles Place before peak hour this evening involving an uncle and a construction worker who had scooted down some seats to make way for Singaporeans.
Uncle to worker: “Hey you can sit down… You don’t always have to give up your seat, especially not to men on the train. You come here to build our homes so you can sit also you know?”
The worker at first puzzled by the interaction digests what he means and breaks into a sweet and winning smile. I can’t really hear the next exchange but then I see the worker whipping out his mobile phone to take a selfie with the uncle.
The uncle continues chatting with him… he points to the train map overhead and dishes out advice and instructions on how to navigate Singapore’s transport network, homing in on Little India in particular. He asks: “Do you know which bus you can take if you get off at that station?”
Later I learn from the “uncle”, Mr Rimy Lau, 68, who used to work in the hotel line, that the worker, Saravanan Samidurai, 28, has been in Singapore for just three days and he just wanted to him to feel welcome.
“They come here to work. This is how we can take care of them,” said Mr Lau.

On 25 Aug in the effort to modernize Bangkok’s Chatuchak Market to further bring in more tourists, The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) affiliating with Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) in evolving a mobile app for shopping.
Both parties engaged a memo to mature a platform for merchants to cope their stock and accounting and accept disbursements via PromptPay. Currently, 50 vendors are partaking in the platform.
Under the memorandum, the SRT and SCB will cultivate an mobile app for locating shops and uncovering promotions. The data will be obtainable in Thai, English, and Mandarin. The full description of the app is projected to take-off in November.
Chatuchak Market fascinates between 200,000-300,000 guests during the weekend. The new strategy is projected to surge customers and increase the ideals of the marketplace to become a prominent pull in Asia.

Yesterday I booked a hitch 1 hour earlier before work and only able to reached my phone until I end my work. As soon as I ended I text the hitch driver and told her that I will be ready by 5:05pm instead of a later timing, my intentions was if she was nearby she can come early to pick me instead of waiting and her respond was so digusted where she stated if you can’t wait then cancel (twice she mentioned) and followed by saying she will be late.
Out of courtesy i just inform her about the timing with no other intentions. I did not take it to heart as I feel maybe there might be a miscommunications and I took awhile to reply her because I’m still at working area… but she sound like impatience.
After work I asked my gf to join me for the hitch ride since she is heading the same direction.
P/S: I forgotten that I need to inform the hitch driver that I have 1 more person with me so apparently I did make a mistake too.
The hitch driver lost her way so she call me and I tried explaining to her where I’m located but she seems clueless and insisted saying that she have reached according to the gps pin point. And I told her I don’t see you, you might have gone to the wrong location or entrance. She told me she was at V entrance where I got no idea where is that and I suggested her to check with the guardhouse. She sound unhappy and start raising her voice at me by saying “You work here you don’t know where izzit???!!!” I was so angry and I told her I only work here occasionally!!!
What kind of attitude is that!!! I don’t bother saying too much so I just hang up.
Finally she reached, my gf and I get into the car, when the trip started she suddenly start to throw her anger and asked: Why 2 pax? Why not 1 pax? Why you didn’t state? Why you didn’t inform me in the 1st place? And she accused me for been ‘DISHONEST’ for not informing her in the first place!!!
And the funny part was she insist to argue by saying I can only fetch 1 person instead of 2 because you all are very ‘HEAVY’ and will ‘SPOILT’ the car!!!
What nonsenses is this???!!! 1st time in my life i hear such!!!
FYI: My gf weighing at 45kg and me weighing at 46kg!!! Wah I didn’t know this will ‘SPOILT’ your car. I was like if you can’t accept then cancel the booking which I can even forgo the $. And she say there no way to cancel. In the end she felt that she got no choice and fetch both of us in a reluctant way.
Well, I didn’t force you, I can just get off the car with my friend and forgo the $. Cause you are just simply been ridiculous and I’m disgusted by your behaviour.
If you are so afraid of your car getting spoilt then don’t bother to drive hitch!!!
