I always wondered why so many sinkies change the way they speak when they talk to Ang Moh. The Singapore accent suddenly becomes American accent but a failed version. The worse one is those with severe grammar errors.
I stay in US for more than 10 years i come back to SG still enjoy the leh la loh.
Why pretend Ang Moh accent means you atas? More like degrading your own heritage.

In a tragic twist to the Pasir Ris Street 51 case, there is speculation that the 70 year-old man found dead at the foot of his Housing & Development Board block may have killed his 27 year-old mentally challenged daughter because he worried that there would be no one to care for her after his death.
Singapore Police Force officers arrived on the scene after receiving a call of a man lying motionless at the bottom of Block 560 Pasir Ris Street 51 at about 1.25PM. They found 70 year-old Mr Tang lying dead on the ground below his block from an apparent suicide.
Attempts to contact his family at his family home were unanswered as there was no response. They later called Mr Tang’s wife, who rushed home with her son and found her 27 year-old daughter lying in a pool of her own blood with multiple stab wounds on her body. Paramedics pronounced her dead on the scene.
According to neighbors, Mr Tang has previously sought treatment from the Institute of Mental Health and had gone for a recent appointment with the medical professionals there. The man’s 27 year-old daughter was studying at a MINDS school for mentally challenged individuals.
Reporters also understand that the father and daughter pair were close. Mr Tang and his wife have 2 other children, an eldest daughter who is married and a younger son.

The cops now say Kian’s father was an addict. They claim the teenager was a drug runner. If his death does not fullfill the low bar of absolute innocence now placed before the thousands killed in the last year, it is possible his death and reported murder by police officers will no longer be considered a “happily isolated” incident by the Palace. It can, like so many others, be relegated to four paragraphs in a police spot report noting a neutralized drug personality who fought back. Lower the bar any further, and it’ll take the picture of a dead pigtailed five-year-old clutching a gun for the government to weep over the death of another citizen of the republic.
Kian was not the first. Calling his death isolated allows for the death of the next, who might not be as innocent, but who will be just as dead.

SG WOMAN DIED AFTER EATING PRAWNS. ALLERGIC REACTION

Ms. Khoo Siew Hong, 60-years-old dies after eating prawns. Earlier this month she had prawns and nothing happened. She assumed that it was safe and she knew she was allergic to prawns but insisted on having prawns.
After 20mins or so of having the prawns, the allergic reaction started and she felt a shortness of breath. Helpers called SCDF and she was rushed to the hospital.
She later died because of a severe allergic reaction.
