The incident occurred at 5:05 a.m. on Friday (17th) at the bus stop in front of HDB block 15 at Marsiling Lane.

The police issued a statement yesterday afternoon (20th) that the authorities had received a report last Friday of the man causing serious injuries to his daughter, and is currently seeking a man to assist in the investigation.
He was last seen riding a motorbike with the number plate 3941.

Mohamed Rasid Mohamad Sani a 55-year-old employee of ITE Ang Mo Kio was charged in court for exposing his privates and poking a woman on the train. He was sentenced to five months jail for using criminal force on the victim.
After the incident came to light, Rasid was fired from the school.
The incident happened in May 2019 at around 8.15 am. The 31-year-old victim boarded the MRT from Boon Keng station and was heading towards to Dhoby Gaut Station.
Rasid who was near the woman started to feel aroused when their bodies rub in the train ride. It was then he pulled down his underwear and opened the zip on his pants
He exposed his privates and started poking the woman from behind, rubbing against the woman’s butt for a few seconds
The victim felt it and turned around, after seeing what has happened she shouted.

According to a media release, a 34-year-old Myanmar maid who is involved in a violent incident against her employer was arrested after attacking her owner with a knife and a tablet.
The incident happened on the 17 Jan 2020 at an HDB unit located at Block 89 Commonwealth Close at about 10.30 in the morning.
The employer who was the victim reported to the incident to the Police at about 11.10 AM, she told the Police that her maid had attacked her with a knife.
She was only employed for 3 months
It is unclear how the dispute escalated into violence, but reports stated that the maid told her employer that she misses her home and wanted to go back. She hit the employer on the head with a tablet and use a knife to cut her.
After the attack, the maid ran away. But was arrested by the Police on the same day.
The victim contacted the Police for help but by the time the ambulance arrived the victim was unconscious.
Reports stated that the victim suffered multiple injuries on her body, 4cm wound on forehead and dislocated finger. But thankfully the injuries sustained were not of any immediate danger.
The maid is currently in IMH and she will be back in court on the 31 Jan 2020.

According to multiple media releases, an amusement park company located at Chongqing, China is “under fire” by angry netizens for abusing a pig. They threw the pig down to celebrate the coming of the new year.
The animal was thrown from 68 meters, there is about 15-16 levels from the ground!

The amusement park apologises after facing the backlash of the public, the incident has even attracted international media attention. Multiple media outlets are “blasting” at the company for the cruel publicity stunt.
The company later claim that no animal cruelty is involved and it’s only an experiment.
According to a Malaysian media release, the Malaysian Police Force has arrested 114 people for their involvement in a secret society ceremony. Among the 114, there were at least 6 Singaporeans.
The name of the secret society is known as the gang “Double Seven”, the gang is related to gambling and vice activities and primarily operates in Kuala Lumpur. The gang leader was arrested in the raid as well.
Weapons such as samurai swords and other items were found for the “sacred” ritual. It is believed that the ceremony is to welcome the new gang members.
The six Singaporeans that were arrested were five men and one woman from Singapore
According to a media release, a group of three were arrested after a robbery case was reported to the Police at Redhill yesterday. (20 Jan 2020) The group consist of two men and a woman.
The Police were alerted at around 1.20 AM by the victim, the victim told the police that two unknown men committed the robbery at Redhill Lane Blk 78 and S$1,200 was taken by the duo.
The Police were able to identify the two men through ground enquires and Police CCTV leading to the arrest. According to a Police Media release, a woman was also arrested on the same day.
Both men will be charged later today with the offence of robbery and causing hurt with intention.
The suspects are looking at up to 20 years jail and a mandatory 12 strokes of the rotan.
My friends and I were having steamboat at my place. About 30 minutes into the dinner, my dining table “EXPLODED” and the entire tempered glass top shattered into pieces. Now, steamboat lovers would know the potential devastation when a hotpot pot were to be toppled/spilled over. Now x10 of the damage because of the sudden shatter with glass flying everywhere.
After the incident happened, all of us sat there in shock, and we couldn’t do anything as there were glass shards and hot soup everywhere. *please take a look at the picture to visualise the amount of damage done* we immediately called the ambulance and paramedics came down to rescue us. With all my guests injured, some with cuts bigger than the size of an eye. I myself was brought to NTF for treatment of 2nd degree burns.
I understand that there is a potential possibility of thermal stress that may occur on a tempered glass even though it is supposed to be tough, with 15mm of thickness. With no right or wrong answer to how much heat and duration will cause a tempered glass from shattering, we were unfortunate enough to experience this traumatic experience.
Damage occurred: 1. New kitchenware 2. Lots of injury (blood spilt everywhere) 3. A&E medical attention + follow up appointments 4. Blood stain on wall and sofa 5. Blood seeping into grout (have to dig out and reapply grout as there is no way we can clean it) 6. Food 🙁
It was supposed to be a joyous gathering between my friends. But it ended up being a traumatizing experience. I hope my story will be a warning towards all tempered glass top table owners.
We have contacted the furniture company to ask for their course of compensation, unfortunately, the director of the company said that the best that he can do for us is to replace a brand new laminated table top for us as the base of our table is still intact. (Not even an entirely new table) – but that’s besides the point – what we were looking for was minimally some responsibility on the company’s end… to cover the medical bills and repair costs.
Would I be able to eat in peace at my own dining table in future, wondering about the safety of the table from the same company?
We shifted into our brand new home, with brand new furniture for the entire house, all ready to celebrate our first CNY at our new house. Instead, my husband and I were left speechless with all the mess left behind. When I came home from NTF last night, I broke down and cried when we opened the door. My house is in a mess and it smells like a crime scene of a murder.
But well……. thankfully it was not during the actual CNY, where elderlies and babies/children could have been severely injured.
