A video of a PMD video abandoned in the middle of the road, after the battery compartment of the vehicle shorted out and catch fire.
This is not the first incident, it is quite common, some HDB units were burned down when charging, some caught fire while using. It can happen anytime and anywhere.
Why does PMD catch fire?
It is caused by poor assembly of the battery pack
The battery is damaged physically
Battery manufactures in an unsafe environment (Battery deteriorates faster)
Battery cell was not tested for safety
Basically there is a million and one reasons why batteries would fail. Becareful!

Natalie Siow the woman involved in the high profile Orchard Tower murder case that happened earlier this year was originally charged with murder.
The victim who was attacked by Natalie and her group died on the 2nd Of July 2019, 1 hour after he was sent to the hospital.
Earlier today, Natalie’s charges for murder were dropped and instead she is now charged with assault instead. After her charges were reduced, she broke down in tears.
Assault charges can be jailed up to 2 years or jails and/or fine of up to $5000.
She will be back in court one week from now on the 25th of October 2019.

Singapore News: According to a report released by the Police. An operation was conducted against errant massage establishments in various parts of Singapore.
The raided areas included the following
Jalan Besar (The usual suspect)
Boat Quay
Tras Street
Cavan Road
Maude Road
Park Road
Foch Road
The operation was conducted between 16 to 17 of October 2019.
Among the arrested, the six-woman age between 25 to 44 years old. Six of them were arrested for offenses that fall under Woman Charted, among the six-woman , five of them were also arrested for an extra offence that falls under employment act.
Singapore News: Two operations were conducted by the Police from 14 to 16 of October 2019 against unlicensed money lending, also known as “Ah Long”.
A total of 136 were arrested consisting of 88 males and 48 females. The youngest suspect is only 17-year-old, the oldest 69-year-old.
The police raided locations islandwide, among the arrest was there is one man believed to be the person behind the scenes in the loansharking business, while some are arrested for splashing pain and vandalizing walls.
A big group that was arrested consisted of people that opened bank accounts and providing the ATM card to loansharks to facilitate transfer and depositing of cash.
Multiple ATM cards, mobile phones and cash of $9640 were found.
According to the police, the following punishments are liable for loansharking activities.
– First-time offenders found guilty of carrying on or assisting in a business of unlicensed moneylending shall be punished with a fine between $30,000 and $300,000, be imprisoned for a term of up to four years and shall also be liable to be punished with caning of up to six strokes.
– First-time offenders found guilty of acting on behalf of an unlicensed moneylender, committing or attempting to commit any acts of harassment shall be punished with a fine of between $5,000 and $50,000, be imprisoned for a term of up to five years, and shall also be liable to be punished with caning between three and six strokes.
M1 is working with Haidilao to implement new technologies to the business and giving customers a better time at HaiDiLao using 5G.
Haidilao will be using a robot kitchen assistant to help prepare food in the kitchen, while robots will move around in the customer’s areas as servers to send food orders.
Customers will also be able to experience VR entertainment while waiting for food to be served.
The opening date is not announced yet but we can already see Hai Di Lao listed on Marina Square’s website stating that it is coming soon. I bet Hai Di Lao fans cant wait for the high tech dining experience.
