In photos circulating on Whatsapp, a cockroach was found inside the packet of Maggi’s Instant mashed potatoes.

The packet was purchased from a Sheng Siong outlet at Blk 182, Woodlands Street 13, on July 21.
The cockroach could be seen mixed with the packet of seasoning powder.
It is understood that Sheng Siong provided a refund to the customer and apologised.
A Sheng Siong spokesperson told Mothership that they had immediately notified their supplier about the fiasco and the supplier has since brought back the affected products for their investigations.
