YOUNG GUY THINKS THAT PERIODS COME OUT FROM THE BUTT

0

There was this guy and I have gone on a few dates with in the past couple of months. He’s nice and so far we’ve only progressed to going on public dates, but about a week ago we finally decided to have a nice date at my place. Since it was going to be at my place I let him know before that I was on my period because I wasn’t sure what expectations he had or where his boundaries were yet, and we agreed to just have a nice takeout dinner and watch a movie.

He comes over and we eat then sit down on the couch to pick a movie when he says that it sucked that I was on my period Then he said how he thought it was so strange that women give birth through the V but have periods from their butts. (This was a completely unpromoted statement from him and I’m still not sure how we got on the topic tbh) I asked him what he meant by that and he said again exactly what he had said before. I kind of smiled, assuming he was very much just joking, and said “oh yeah, so weird” thinking that he was going to start laughing soon to end the joke. He didn’t, and instead started to talk about his first and only girlfriend he’d had in school and how she used to complain about bad “period poops” all the time. At this point, I ask him if he is being serious and he looks a little confused and says he is.

I ask him to explain how he came to that conclusion and he explained that his first experience being around periods was the hs gf and before then he had never received or seen much information. He understood it was something that happened inside the body and that blood came out “somewhere” but assumed it came out of the V until he heard her complaining and realized it actually came out of the butt. It was very unexpected coming from a 22-year-old man. I somehow managed to keep my composure when I told him that periods do in fact come out of the V and not butts.

He looked confused and then a little frustrated and started insisting to me that was wrong and then kept saying “are you sure?” as if I was confused about where it came out of my own body. I explained to him the anatomy a bit and how it worked but he was very adamant.

Eventually, he conceded that most women must have periods like that, but some, hence his ex-gf, have their periods from their butts.

He just could not understand no matter how many times I tried to explain it to him that he had just simply come to the wrong conclusion and misinterpreted his gf’s words. The whole situation became so much that I started to laugh. I was doubled over, clutching my stomach, crying laughing over this whole debacle, and he sat there red-faced, continuing to try and argue with me.

Eventually, he said he was ready to leave and did before we could watch a movie. I felt bad for laughing after he left because I could tell that had been when he decided to leave and he also texted me later that night to say he had done a little bit of research “on his own” and that he was no longer interested in pursuing any sort of relationship because he couldn’t stand to be with someone who laughed at someone for “not understanding”.

How is this about understanding… but good thing I don’t have to tell him that there won’t be a relationship. This is next level dumb.

S’PORE WOMAN GOES BLIND AFTER GETTING BEAUTY TREATMENT FROM CLINIC @ REDHILL

0

A woman in Singapore went blind after undergoing a “dermal filler” medical procedure to reduce her wrinkles and folds in her skin at a clinic in Redhill, becoming the first of such a case in Singapore.

The Incident

The unfortunate incident took place at a clinic in Redhill, where the woman received an injection of the dermal filler AestheFill.

According to media reports citing their own sources, the victim is a young married woman who experienced sudden blindness in both her eyes after the injection at the clinic.

Parvus, the Singapore distributor of AestheFill, confirmed the incident and expressed its commitment to understanding the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Regulatory Investigation

The Health Sciences Authority (HSA) promptly initiated an investigation. They are looking into whether there were batch-related defects that could have compromised the safety and quality of AestheFill. It’s worth noting that AestheFill was registered for use in Singapore only in October 2021.

A spokesperson for HSA said that Parvus had reported an incident of “blood vessel occlusion” that led to blindness after the administration of AestheFill.

This incident is a significant concern as it is the first adverse event report of blindness resulting from dermal fillers in Singapore.

Dermal fillers are classified by HSA as Class D medical devices in Singapore, indicating that they carry the highest risk, and if any adverse effects happen, the companies have to report the incident to HSA within 10 days.

The Practitioner

According to the website of the clinic that administered the procedure, the doctor who purportedly performed the procedure is a certified trainer in the injections, which can only be administered by qualified professionals.

Since its approval by HSA on October 1, 2021, AestheFill has gained popularity among aesthetic practitioners in Singapore. It is internationally recognized as a reliable filler for aesthetic treatments.

However, like any medical procedure, there are inherent risks, which are communicated to patients by trained medical doctors before treatment.

MAN ALMOST GOT KIDNAPPED BY PHV DRIVER IN THAILAND, KEPT DESCRIBING THEM IN PHONE CALL

0

In recent news, a chilling incident has come to light where a group of Malaysian tourists narrowly escaped an alleged kidnapping attempt by an e-hailing driver during their trip to Thailand. The incident occurred on the last day of their vacation in Bangkok.

The suspicious driver

The journey began innocently enough when Tong and his friends booked a ride via the inDrive e-hailing app to reach Don Mueang International Airport on September 4th.

The car, an Isuzu D-Max, arrived at their hotel at 7 pm. However, their apprehensions started to rise when they noticed that the vehicle’s windows were heavily tinted, obscuring their view of the outside world.

The Ominous Phone Call

What made the situation even more unnerving was the behavior of the e-hailing driver. Throughout the entire ride, the driver remained engrossed in a phone call with an undisclosed individual, refusing to disconnect. This constant conversation on the phone raised red flags and deepened their concerns.

Things took a sinister turn when Tong, who understood Thai, realized that the driver was providing detailed information about them to the person on the other end of the line.

The driver went as far as describing the passengers, specifying their gender, nationality, and other personal details. Tong recounted the driver’s alarming conversation, “Now I’m fetching three girls in the car, and two of their friends from Malaysia. Got boys and girls.”

This unsettling revelation left Tong and his friends deeply troubled. While it’s not uncommon for drivers to make personal calls during a ride, it’s highly irregular for a driver to divulge every move and offer personal information about passengers to an unknown individual.

A Discreet Reality Check

Growing increasingly wary, the group decided to discreetly verify their location and route using Google Maps and Waze.

Their findings were deeply unsettling. The driver had deviated from the expected route, displaying a longer 50-minute journey instead of the anticipated 30 minutes.

In an attempt to assess the situation further, Tong and his friends requested a quick restroom break. However, the driver refused, citing potential fines from the police if he stopped by the roadside.

Instead, he promised to pull over at the nearest gas station. But to their alarm, they discovered that there was no gas station along the route.

The Daring Escape

With their suspicions reaching a boiling point, Tong and his friends took a daring step. While the car was still in motion on the main road, they decided to exit the vehicle. Thankfully, their luggage was located at the rear of the four-wheel drive, making it relatively easy to retrieve.

Tong noted that although the driver appeared surprised by their actions, he made no attempt to chase them for the ride fare. This unexpected behavior only deepened their sense of foreboding.

Tong added that he is not trying to scare people from visiting Thailand, but is instead reminding people to be alert and mindful when travelling.

GIRL SCAMMED OF $1.5K BY MAN OFFERING HER A “JOB”, HELPLESS

0

Hello, I’m a 22F. I had an issue where I was ‘scammed’ by someone last year. I was going through a really rough time and was vulnerable, and this person promised to offer me ‘help’ when I was looking to get out of my situation.

To keep things short I met up with this person when they claim to have a job opening for me. I was wary and did not want to meet at first but the person kept pressuring me to, saying things like ‘I’m just helping’ and ‘why are you so afraid to meet up? It’s just for a talk’

I then sort of seek advice from a friend and he said to give it a try. I ended up meeting with this person in a public setting and we talked for a while. This person asked me a few questions about my life and my situation. I wasn’t thinking clearly at the time as I had only calmed down from a mental breakdown a few hours prior and ended up saying more than I should.

This person spent the next 2-3 hours gaining my trust and said he’d offered me a job. Just before we left he got a ‘call’ from a client and said he needed to urgently borrow 1k sgd because his bank has reached the daily transfer limit. I was unsure but also pressured as he was waiting on me with someone on the line, so in the end I transferred him the money. 5mins later he walked me to the bus stop and I went home.

We kept in touch for a while and he said he’ll drop in a cheque for me. I informed him to update me when he does and he did the following day. But he said he ended up writing an extra 1k for me and asked for me to transfer it back. At this point I was very suspicious, and told me I’ll give it to him later.

On the evening of the same day he started asking me for the extra 1k, saying he had an urgent order he needs to pay for. My trust at this point was very low as my gut was telling me something was off. This then turned out to be true because when I kept refusing, he started to become very aggressive, pressuring me to go on call with him (which I did) and started cursing me out. Saying stuff about how he’s helped me with a job but I couldn’t even bother to give him his money back. I kept saying that if he was as good a businessman as he claimed himself to be, then he should have his own money to pay. Not having to take money from a fresh graduate like myself. He later ended the call saying that he’ll wait until the cheque comes in and get his money back. But of course the money never did come in.

I also did give him another $500 because he claim to have a studio apartment for rent but I’ve never been to the place because he kept insisting he was doing a sale for someone else (stupid, I know. But I was desperate and it was within my budget). So in total this piece of garbage of a human being took 1.5k from me.

He then lied to me for 2 weeks saying he sent another cheque or to give it a week for it to come in. I called the bank to confirm and customer service informed me that it only takes 3 days. On the Friday of the 2nd week I went to make a police report because at that point he had stopped responding to me. All of this took place on Oct 2021.

Fast forward to now, I had a call with the IO in charge of my case, and was told that this is considered a ‘Breach of Agreement’ and not actually a crime. The lady on the phone told me that there was nothing they could do other than keep an eye on this person should a similar case come up or enough prompting has happened for them to actually start an investigation. She also told me if I wish to see anything come out of this I will need to go to a small civil court and take matters into my own hands.

My concern is just how should I go about this? Is this going to cost me a lot of money? I don’t have a lot of savings myself, and I think this issue requires a lawyer. I would like some legal advice on this if anyone has knowledge on it.

As for some wondering why I’m not seeking advice with my family on this, its because of them that I was even having this issue in the first place. So as of now only my close friends know of this problem.

Netizens’ comments

  • Can’t really offer legal advice per se, but I’m going to assume you don’t have the scammer’s personal information? Like a copy of his NRIC for example. It will be tough to pursue a case without the person’s name.

I’ve reported a scam once, police said they can’t do anything without personal information.

  • I don’t think OP’s situation (loan gone wrong) would fall within the jurisdiction of small claims tribunal though 🙁

Says here https://www.judiciary.gov.sg/civil/cases-eligible-small-claim that the case must fall in one of the following categories:
• A contract for the sale of goods.
• A contract for the provision of services.
• A tenancy agreement for residential premises not exceeding 2 years.
• Damage to any property not arising from or in connection with the use of a motor vehicle, or caused by a neighbour.
• A dispute against a supplier for an unfair practice under the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act.
• Refund of motor vehicle deposits under the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) (Motor Vehicle Dealer Deposits) Regulations.

Apple has once again unveiled a new addition to their smartphone lineup. On a Tuesday, amidst a global smartphone slump, the tech giant unveiled the much-anticipated iPhone 15 Pro.

This new addition to the iPhone lineup boasts a titanium case, a faster chip, improved cameras, and a slew of other impressive features.

The New iPhone 15 Lineup

The iPhone 15 series kicks off with the standard iPhone 15, priced in the US at a competitive US$799. For those seeking a bit more, the iPhone 15 Plus starts at US$899. However in Singapore, these devices are priced higher at S$1,299 and S$1,449, respectively.

These prices remain consistent with last year’s models, offering the same storage capacity. Both the Pro and other iPhone 15 models feature a brighter display, a 48-megapixel camera, and a commitment to sustainability with 100 percent recycled cobalt being used in their internal batteries.

USB-C Charging

Apple is embracing USB-C by introducing USB-C charging cables for both the iPhone 15 and the charging case of its AirPods Pro.

A16 Bionic Chip

Under the hood, the iPhone 15 series boasts the same A16 Bionic chip that powered the iPhone 14 Pro. This chip ensures exceptional performance and efficiency.

Economic Landscape

Challenges in China

Apple’s product launch comes at a time of economic uncertainty, particularly in China, where the tech giant faces challenges from expanded restrictions on its iPhones in government offices.

Additionally, competition from Huawei Technologies, with their first new flagship phone in several years, adds to the complexity of the Chinese market.

Future Endeavors

Apple’s Chief Executive, Tim Cook, shared that the company is “on track” to ship its Vision Pro mixed-reality headset early in 2024. This innovative product promises to reshape the way we experience augmented reality.

GF IS UNHAPPY THAT HER MAN SPEND 80% OF HIS SAVINGS ON A WATCH

0

I just pass the most important exam of my life after three years of studying every day (plus all the years of uni) for it and because of it I just got an offer for my dream job, if I failed this exam I would have to wait at least another year to try again and the job offers would have been really bad.

Almost two years ago I asked a dealer to put me on the waitlist for my dream watch, to be honest with you I thought that they would never sell me one but yesterday I got a call from the dealer, perfect timing, a reward to myself for all the hard work.

When I told my fiancee that I was going to buy it we had a big fight, she told me that I shouldn’t spend that kind of money on a luxury item and that I should be saving every dollar I have to buy a house when we get married like she is.

I told her that I’m going to start making a lot of money and that It’s okay if I treat myself with this, also if I don’t buy this I would be an idiot, the price on the used market is three times the retail price. After I told her this she said that I should buy it, but that I should sell it after. I told her that I’m not planning on selling it and she was not happy about it. She doesn’t understand that I want to treat myself with my dream watch, also that watch is something that I’m going to have for the rest of my life as a reminder of all this years of hard work.

Is it wrong of me for spending most of my savings on an expensive watch?

Info, the watch is $10200, around 80% of my savings.

WOMAN BOOKED HOTEL AT GEYLANG LORONG 18, DIDN’T KNOW IT’S A RED LIGHT DISTRICT

0

Is Lorong 18, Geylang safe for female travellers?

Hi! I’m a solo female traveller and I booked a hotel in Lorong 18 without knowing Geylang was a red light district. And I just have a few questions.

Is Lorong 18 and surrounding areas safe for women?

Any places/areas that I should avoid?

Would it be alright to walk from Lorong 18 to the old airport road?

Is it safe to be walking around 8pm in the night?

Any other advice you’d like to give regarding this topic?

I’m a bit worried 🙁 and I would really appreciate your feedback.

Thank you!

Edit: I cancelled my booking and I’m planning to stay in a different area. I just don’t want to be worried about my safety at all times. And it would nice to take a night stroll. Once again, you guys are the best!

Netizens’ comments

  1. It appears you have booked a hotel smack in the middle of a red light district on google maps
You are also staying right across the brothels, they are those houses with red lanterns and open gates. And yes your hotel is likely a love hotel.
The brothels run from the even numbered 1-20 lorong geylang i think, but you can stick to the main road without wandering in them as there are plenty of good food at their corners
Still singapore is generally a safe place and i highly doubt you will be harassed or approached. You might get lots of stares so just walk away and be on your way.
Yes its perfectly safe to walk over to old airport road market. The moment you reach and cross guillemard road, the whole environment changes and it feels just like another boring residential area.
  2. Just exercise common sense. Sg is mind numbingly safe mostly. Geylang is a more interesting area than most parts of Singapore. Check out the durian stretch.
  3. If it’s the Ibis, it’s fine. If you’ve booked a love hotel, I’d suggest cancelling and staying at another property. Geylang is safe enough, just a matter of preference
  4. Any part of sg is super safe.. dont be drunk and roam around senselessly, and u shud be okay.. u may get stares especially if u are roaming around at night with short dresses but no one will touch or approach u… And it is absolutely safe to walk
  5. It’s safe relative to many places in the world but not if you have the choice of staying anywhere else in Singapore. I would rebook elsewhere to have a more comfortable and relaxing stay tbh.

WOMAN SUFFERED A MISCARRIAGE, BF TOLD HER TO “STOP BEING DRAMATIC”

0

I am going through a miscarriage and my boyfriend told me to stop being so dramatic.

He says its not like I am new to this as its my second miscarriage. I thought he would be more supportive especially after he saw how bad it was last time.

He refuses to help me with anything and still expected me to help with his daughter as well as getting his things ready for work.

I could not sleep properly because of the pain so he made me go sleep on the couch as he needed his rest.

I understand his job is physically demanding but it’s not like I am doing it on purpose. I can’t seem to do anything right in his eyes and it hurts.

Netizens’ comments

  • I’m so sorry for what you’re going through.
  • Please don’t have a child with this man. Who wants to be with someone who doesn’t give a shit about you?
  • I had two miscarriages over 10 years ago and my heart is still broken. It is not something you just “get over”. He is treating you like garbage during an extremely difficult time, he obviously doesn’t care about you. Why should you care about him? Is there anyone you can go be with like a family member or a friend? You need support right now and to focus on getting through this, not taking care of his selfish butt.
  • First, I’m sorry about what is happening. I can’t imagine the physical and emotional pain your in.

Second, you are with him because? Don’t say “I love him.” Love isn’t a reason to be with someone. You have listed 6 reasons to not be with him and zero reason you should, so why are you with him?

WOMAN SAYS HAVING HER CHILD WAS THE WORST DECISION OF HER LIFE

0

Deciding to have a child was the worst decision of my life
I’m a 29 yo married mother of one 1.5 year old son who I love but wish I didn’t have. I never wanted to have kids but my husband did. After he nudged me towards the idea of having kids for years mixed with my stupid biological clock freaking out that I’d be 30 soon, I made the decision to “just get it over with” and we got pregnant on one of the very first attempts just over two years ago.

As soon as I found out I was pregnant, I was hit with a wave of dread. I kept pushing that feeling down and told my husband and then friends and family I was pregnant. Everyone was so excited I didn’t have the heart to terminate the pregnancy like every fiber of my being was begging me to.

I won’t go into the whole awful story but my pregnancy was a nightmare riddled with tons of complications. The newborn stage was even more brutal. The crying in the night gave me crippling postpartum anxiety that is now better but still lingers.

Soon after returning from leave, I lost my job due to the pandemic. It financially made more sense for me to stay at home for a bit instead of paying for daycare but I miss my old life so much. I had no real problems in hindsight. Sleeping through the night and then going to work and then coming home to just my husband, the dog and the TV seems like a lost paradise now. I was an idiot to give that life up.

There have been good days, even good weeks since then and I really love my son but I’m not enjoying or well suited for parenthood. I like quiet flexible days with adult conversation or the ability to focus on interesting topics or work projects uninterrupted. I do not enjoy a day filled with loud screaming, kids shows, and having to follow a strict schedule to keep my toddler from having a hangry meltdown.

I know this phase will end too and maybe I will enjoy motherhood once he is a bit bigger but right now it has thoroughly changed my life in a way that I do not appreciate or want. I got my tubes tied last year because I refuse to put myself through this again. I just wish I had enough courage to listen to my intuition and decided to leave my husband when it was clear he wanted kids and I didn’t.

SISTER STEALS INHERITANCE, BROTHER INTENDS TO SUE HER AFTER FUNERAL

0

I recently lost my father. I have two siblings, my twin brother and older sister . We all grew up together in my parents’ house. It is a large multi-story 5 bedroom house worth almost a few million dollars.

My father’s will stated that his assets, cash, house, etc… were to be divided equally among the three of us. During my father’s funeral, I asked my siblings when a good time would be to meet up about putting the house on the market. My sister told me that there was no need, because my father had sold the house prior to his death.

I was confused because he was still living in it. My sister went on to explain that my father had been sick for years and was deep in debt, so he’d needed to sell the house. Of course, with his health as poor as it was, that would be a complicated undertaking. So my sister and her husband bought the house with the understanding that he would continue living there for free.

I was flabbergasted. When my father died, he only had about 120K in liquid assets. Her story made no sense to me. I demanded details.

She said that the mortgage lender would only approve them for 375k, which is far less than the house is worth. My dad apparently spent the other 250k paying off his debts, paying for treatments and “maintaining his quality of life” as my sister put it. So basically she’s telling me my inheritance is 40k and no more while she gets that + a house.

I called her a thief that took advantage of our father when he was vulnerable. She basically pocketed the difference in the value of the house out of my inheritance. She got really mad. She told me that she and her husband have been struggling to pay two mortgages for years while also raising four kids (not my kids, not my problem) and getting no income from the second house, but that was her CHOICE, and she got a house out of it. She started yelling at me and crying, so her husband intervened and took her away.

I turned to my brother for support, but he just shrugged and said he couldn’t find it within him to care about a house after we just buried Dad. I miss Dad too, and I hate fighting with my sister, but what she did was wrong. I’ve reached out to a lawyer and am planning to sue my sister, but I’m nervous. I know this will permanently fracture my family. I just want what’s rightfully mine, but is it worth blowing up my sister’s life?
