MAN BOUGHT CHEAP AIR TICKETS FROM CAROUSELL, END UP RETURN TICKET DON’T WORK

𝑩𝑬𝑾𝑨𝑹𝑬 𝑶𝑭 𝑳𝑰𝑶𝑵𝑺.𝑻𝑹𝑨𝑽𝑬𝑳 𝑨𝑮𝑬𝑵𝑪𝒀 @ CAROUSELL 𝑾𝑬 𝑮𝑶𝑻 𝑺𝑪𝑨𝑴𝑴𝑬𝑫

I AM LOOKING FOR OTHER VICTIMS OF THE SAID AGENCY, PLEASE SHARE.

I made contact with one of the agents of Lions’ Travel (AS1 – name is unknown) to get a flight back to Manila on November 24 to December 21, 2022 through Carousell. I paid them in 𝗙𝗨𝗟𝗟 for 𝗦𝗚𝗗$𝟭𝟬𝟯𝟬 for 𝟯 𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁𝘀 with the assumption that our transaction has been settled.

We managed to fly back to Manila on November 24. However, on our way back to Singapore on December 21 at the Manila Airport Terminal, we were stopped upon checking in at Scoot Airlines. Apparently, there were issues with our transaction and I was asked to pay them 𝗣𝗛𝗣 𝟱𝟮,𝟯𝟳𝟳.𝟲𝟰 (𝗦𝗚𝗗$𝟭𝟮𝟲𝟮.𝟱𝟱) for the 𝗙𝗨𝗟𝗟 𝗳𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆. I was compelled to pay for the tickets in order for us to take the flight back home.

I contacted the agent, AS1, as soon as I got back. They told me that they can only reimburse 𝗦𝗚𝗗$𝟱𝟭𝟱 (Not even half of what I paid in the Airport!). The agent even told me they would gladly meet me in court to settle the issue. When I agreed to get reimbursed for SGD$515, THEY STOPPED RESPONDING.

We subsequently learned that someone else has reported Lions’ Travel, and we are currently looking for other victims. I have filed my complaint with Carousell, DBS Bank, and Singapore Police Force but we still need more victims/witnesses to file for an official action against the person/ agency.

I am posting this for awareness! And hoping this could reach other victims as well so please share!!

SG MAN GOES KUALA LUMPUR TO SURPRISE GF, ENDS UP SHE GOT HUSBAND & KIDS

0

I had been planning my surprise trip to Kuala Lumpur for weeks.

It was going to be a special trip that would mark the beginning of a new chapter in my relationship with my girlfriend. I had been with her for a year and had decided to take the plunge and travel to her home country to meet her family and show her how much I loved her.

Unfortunately, things didn’t quite turn out the way I had envisioned them.

When I arrived in Kuala Lumpur, I was expecting to be welcomed by my girlfriend and her family. But, instead, I found out that she had been married and had two children. I was completely shocked and felt my heart sink at the news.

I had been in a long-distance relationship with my girlfriend for a year and had assumed that she was single.

We had grown close and had talked about marriage and I thought I was the only person she was interested in. I had no idea that she was already married with two children.

It was a difficult moment for me but I was determined to remain positive and make the best of the situation. I decided to remain in Kuala Lumpur and enjoy my time there as a solo holiday. I wanted to understand why she had kept this secret from me and why she hadn’t told me the truth.

At first, I was met with a lot of resistance from her family. They were not happy that I had come all the way to Malaysia to surprise my girlfriend and were worried that I would cause trouble in their family.

It was a difficult time for me as I was coming to terms with the fact that my girlfriend was already married. But, I was determined to make the best of the situation. I wanted to understand why she had kept this from me and why she had chosen to marry someone else.

After a few days in Kuala Lumpur, I finally had the chance to sit down with my girlfriend and talk about what had happened. She told me that she had been married and had two children. She said that she had kept this from me because she didn’t want to hurt me and wasn’t sure how I would react.

I was heartbroken by the news but I was also grateful that she had been honest with me and had given me the chance to understand her situation. We talked for a long time and I finally understood why she had made the decision to marry someone else.

Two Siblings Arrested for Suspected Drug Offences

12 Jan 2023

Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) officers arrested two Singaporeans, a 17-year-old student and his 25-year-old brother, for suspected drug activities on 10 January 2023. A total of about 1,073g of cannabis, 85g of ‘Ice’, 43g of ketamine, 310g of ‘Ecstasy’ tablets, 538 Erimin-5 tablets and 198 LSD (lysergic acid diethylamide) stamps, with an estimated street value of $124,000, were seized during the operation.

2.     In the evening of 10 January, CNB officers arrested the teenager in the vicinity of Jurong West Street 93. About 446g of cannabis, 18g of ‘Ice’, 5g of ketamine, 5g of ‘Ecstasy’ tablets, 90 Erimin-5 tablets and various drug paraphernalia were recovered from him. Preliminary investigations revealed that the controlled drugs seized may be linked to drug transactions conducted on Telegram.

3.     CNB is aware that some drug offenders and syndicates have been leveraging on encrypted messaging applications like Telegram to conduct their drug activities. These drug offenders may think that such applications can offer them a certain level of anonymity to carry out their illegal activities, and evade CNB’s surveillance. CNB is monitoring such developments closely, and has been taking regular enforcement actions against drug offenders who use the Telegram platform for their activities. Regardless of the platform or tactics used in an attempt to evade detection, there is no safe haven for drug offenders in Singapore.

4.    Members of the public who would like to report on suspicious drug-related activities may submit it to us at https://www.eservices.cnb.gov.sg/feedback, or call the CNB hotline at 1800-325-6666.

JB MASSEUSE TOUCHED S’PORE MAN’S KUKU BIRD, ASKED IF HE’S GAY AFTER HE REJECTED HER

0

A netizen shared how she visited a massage parlour in Johor Bahru with a group of her friends in the wee hours of 2 January for a normal massage.

She said that everything seemed fine and great, but it was only after their massage that they learned that the guys were offered “special services” by the masseuses, according to MustShareNews.

One of the guys purportedly cried and said that he was touched in his private parts by the female masseuse, despite him telling her not to.

She claimed that the guy told her his masseuse touched his private parts twice during the massage, but saw that he wasn’t aroused, and “opened his pants” to check his private parts to make sure.

She allegedly asked him if he was gay because he wasn’t aroused despite her touching him there.

The group then returned to the massage parlour and confronted a staff member there, who denied providing the “extra services”.

She claimed that the boss of the massage parlour was unapologetic and didn’t seem to care when the group threatened to report them.

They said that the company carries out the “kisses” every morning between 9am to 9.30am, with the boss explaining that he got the idea from visiting an American company that practices such greetings.

A video also circulated online, showing the “SOP” in progress.

One of the female workers was seen in the video flinching after kissing the man, and ducking her head down away from him.

GoodyFeed also claimed that if the employees are not able to perform the SOP, they will be made to resign from the company.

IKEA S’PORE ISSUES RECALL FOR “LETTAN” MIRRORS FOR RISK OF “BREAKING WALL FITTINGS”

0

IKEA urges all customers who own an affected LETTAN mirror to stop using it and to order replacement wall fittings free of charge.

Customer safety is the starting point for IKEA. Therefore, we are announcing a recall for repair action on LETTAN mirrors with a date stamp before and including 2105 (YYWW), due to risk of breaking wall fittings. No incidents were reported in Singapore.

IKEA develops its products using a rigorous risk assessment and testing program, to make sure that the products live up to all applicable laws and standards in the markets where they are sold.

Despite this, it has come to our attention that some of the fittings that attach LETTAN mirrors to the wall have been breaking. This has in turn led to some mirrors unexpectedly falling. Therefore, we urge all customers who own an affected LETTAN mirror to stop using it and to order replacement wall fittings free of charge.

To order your replacement fitting, visit here to order the required number of the replacement fitting with item number 139298/1 or contact IKEA Customer Contact Centre at +65 6786 6868.

IKEA apologises for any inconvenience this recall for repair action may cause.

GIRL’S FATHER HUMILIATED HER BY GOING TO HER WORKPLACE & SHOUTING AT HER

My (19F) dad (M50) yelled at me while I was at my job, how do I handle this when I get home

Today I was late to work, my phone died I’m completely in the wrong and that is the truth. But when I finally charged my phone I saw a text message from my dad saying he was disappointed in me.

My dad and my boss are friends. There was been multiple times that he has texted my dad about me at work (which I think it’s a bit weird but idk)

Today however my dad came into into work and yelled at me for being late saying there was no excuse and it reflects on him (I’ve been working at this place for two years and I’ve had my moment but overall I’m a good waitress)

After yelling at me at work he left and I’ve just been out of it. I really want to talk to him when I get home tonight.

I’m not sure how to go about it. I know I’m in the wrong about being late but yelling at me was overboard

Netizens’ comments

  • Get another job somewhere else. And ignore your dad as much as you can.
  • I’d explain to him that if he wants to yell at you, he can do it at home. Yelling at you while you’re on the clock is uncalled for, unprofessional, and reflects on him a lot more than you being late.
  • You think it’s weird that your boss texts your dad, because it IS weird
  • is there any chance you can talk to your mom? this is scary and controlling and letting an adult know about this situation would help
  • If you’re not able to or want to find a job somewhere else you’ll have to have a conversation with your boss about informing your father about your work performance. It would be beneficial to mention this incident because it happened due to your boss’ actions. Overall it’s unethical for a boss to inform a parent of an adult employee about said employees work performance, and it’s not the best thing for a business to have employee’s personal life being broadcast in front of paying customers.

MAN GOT REJECTED BY WOMAN BECAUSE HE HASN’T SLEPT WITH ANYONE FOR 3-4 YEARS

0

Rejected because I haven’t hooked up in a number of years

So I (M27) managed to go on my first date since 2016. We clicked a lot on various issues and interests, our date went well and started to make plans via text after I had took her home.

We were planning and chatting along, to which she brought up when was the last time I had slept with anyone.

I was caught off guard (this should have been a red flag in asking such a question this early) but told her it had been around 3-4 years or so since I had.

She didn’t reply for almost 30 minutes until she texted back to tell me she wasn’t comfortable with someone that had not been intimate with anyone in such a “long” time.

I texted back asking why was this an issue as she had never mentioned it until then, but never got a reply back.

The last week has made me feel extremely worthless as I had been struggling socially for a few years now, and now I feel like a freak of nature for being out of the game for so long.

What should I do incase she decides to text me back for whatever reason?
