WOMAN WHO INSULTED JUDGE & YELLED “THIS IS A KANGAROO COURT”, GETS 3 NEW CHARGES

0

52-year-old Lee Hui Yin, was previously charged on 11 November under the Miscellaneous Offences (Public Order and Nuisance) Act and the Protection from Harassment Act for her actions during a court hearing on 18 August 2021.

She is now facing an additional 3 more charges, given to her on 28 November, with 2 of them being for her failure to attend to orders served to her by a public servant.

She is facing a total of 7 charges.

She had reportedly failed to show up at the Central Police Division HQ for police investigations on 2 occasions, on 10 August 2021 and 31 August 2021.

Her third (additional) charge is for her failure to appear at the state courts on 15 September earlier this year.

Police’s previous statement on 11 November

The Police will be charging a 52-year-old woman on 11 November 2022 for offences under the Miscellaneous Offences (Public Order and Nuisance) Act and the Protection from Harassment Act for her actions during a court hearing on 18 August 2021.

On 18 August 2021, the woman was seated in the public gallery at the State Courts during a trial involving Mr Benjamin Glynn. She was asked to step out of a courtroom to adjust her mask, which was askew. She then used insulting words towards a District Judge of the State Courts by shouting “This is [a] ridiculous kangaroo court”, “if the kangaroo court requires me to wear a mask” and “I do not respect the judge”.

The woman will be charged with an offence of using insulting words towards a public servant, which is punishable under Section 6(3) of the Protection from Harassment Act. If found guilty, the woman is liable for enhanced punishment under Section 8(1)(d) of the Protection from Harassment Act as she was previously convicted and sentenced in April 2014 to a mandatory treatment order for committing a similar offence. In addition, the woman had behaved in a disorderly manner in the courtroom on 18 August 2021. Hence, she will also be charged with an offence of disorderly behaviour in the immediate vicinity of a court under Section 20 of the Miscellaneous Offences (Public Order and Nuisance) Act.

The offence of using insulting words towards a public servant, punishable under Section 8(1)(d) of the Protection from Harassment Act, may be punished with imprisonment of up to two years, a fine of up to $10,000, or both. The offence of disorderly behaviour under Section 20 of the Miscellaneous Offences (Public Order and Nuisance) Act is punishable with imprisonment of up to six months, a fine of up to $2,000, or both.

In addition, the woman is being investigated for offences of failing to attend in obedience to order from public servants under section 174 of the Penal Code, as well as offences involving the use of criminal force against Police officers under section 353 of the Penal Code.

Recap

Benjamin Glynn, the Briton charged with not wearing his mask on a train and again outside the state courts, was in court on 18 August 2021 to contest his four charges of not wearing a mask, public nuisance and his use of threatening words to a public servant.

One of Benjamin Glynn’s supporters, Lee Hui Yin, was not wearing her mask properly when a security guard told her to do so.

She then reacted to the guard angrily as her mask slipped down and she had her entire mask off her face.

District Judge Eddy Tham then told her to step outside if she was not wearing a mask.

The agitated woman then exclaimed: “This is a ridiculous kangaroo court!”

The security guards then approached her as she told them: “You don’t touch me, I have no contract with you!”

She then said something about this not being about a mask, but about “control”.

A man then tried to admit himself as the accused’s (Glynn) lawyer but failed because he didn’t have a practising license, then told the security guard to refrain from “provoking” the woman.

Judge Tham then ordered the woman to be taken out of the courtroom: “That is enough interruption, please bring her out of the courtroom now.”

Proceedings were halted as the woman was hauled out of court, she then exclaimed as security guards surrounded her (without touching her): “You don’t tell me what to do, I’m a living, breathing woman. Shut up. I do not respect the judge.”

As the judge was away, Glynn continued his taunting remarks at the prosecutor: “Back to law school for you, Mr Koh.”

0

A 32-year-old auxiliary policewoman was sentenced to 4 weeks imprisonment after pleading guilty on 30 November to providing false information to the police.

She had falsely accused her colleague of raping her in 2020, before being found out after authorities investigated her phone, according to The Straits Times.

What happened?

The woman was exchanging explicit messages in an intimate Whatsapp chat with her colleague in August 2020, planning to sleep with him.

She later lodged a police report the following month (September) against him, claiming that she was raped by the 36-year-old man.

She said in a statement to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) that the man had messaged her and invited her to his home.

She claimed that the man persistently called and messaged her even though she declined his request, and she said that she eventually agreed but she later reported that the man assaulted her after she went to his home.

Her phone was then searched and her offences then came to light when her messages were found by the authorities.

The woman then made another statement in December maintaining that she was raped, but the authorities then referred to the intimate messages between the two, and she then eventually admitted that she was not raped.

Was on the last train from DT Expo towards Chinatown direction and there was a loud explosion sound at the door beside me just when door was closing.

Didn’t stay around to see what’s wrong.

I suspect it’s a battery explosion. No fire seen. The whole train was shaking.

WOMAN ORDERED FOODPANDA BUT NOT DELIVERED, HELPDESK SAYS “NOTHING THEY CAN DO”

0

I have very bad experience with food Panda. I ordered food last night. The status showing delivered after I waited for an hour, but the food was not delivered to me.

I contact the helpdesk thru chat, the onky platform available. The staff picked up the issue and said will check but get hold for so long and finally said wait for 2-3 mins then after 10 mins, just ended the chat said technical problem.

I login another chat and pick up with opening and ended again. So i thought it’s really have system issue. I just follow up again and ask for refund.

the answer nothing they can do as it’s delivered to registered address despite knowing the fact I didn’t receive it.

The rider also didn’t call me if they can’t find address or whatever.

I don’t have experience the food was not delivered to me before , means my address is correct recorded so why this time penalised me for their mistake?

So they can just put status delivered , the customer didn’t receive it , it’s not their problem??? It’s kinda cheating case for me.

Please be careful using Pandafood. For me, I will ban this platform and will never use them anymore..

MAN SAYS GOING CASINO TO GAMBLE IS LIKE A ‘DRUG ADDICTION’

0

I have this relative of mine who got into some trouble with the law before because he used to be doing drugs.

He has stayed cleaned for a period of time but has recently found a new vice to indulge in which is gambling.

He would frequent the Marina Bay Sands and Resorts World Casinos and sometimes even go up to Genting to gamble depending on where he felt was ‘luckier’ for him.

One day I met him at a family gathering and one of my other relative (relative B) jokingly asked him why he was going to the casinos so often.

This gambling addict relative of mine would go on to say that going to casino to gamble is like a ‘drug addiction’, you know that it is not good for you but it is hard to break the habit.

Whenever he wins a lot of money, he will feel the ‘high’ and whenever he is not at the casinos, he would feel the ‘kick’ to go to the casino again to play a feel hands.

If there was anything that happened on the day where he was supposed to go to the casino, he would feel very frustrated because he is unable to ‘feed’ his addiction.

Hearing this, relative B asked him how much did he profited or loss at the casino ever since he started going and my gambling addict relative would say that he had lost almost $50,000 in the span of a year.

Relative B then decided to ‘take a dig’ at my gambling addict relative saying that at this rate it is better that he goes back to consume drugs at least it is not as pain as losing so much money and if he goes back to ‘sit’ in prison he can save more money.

GUY THINKS ITS ‘TRUE LOVE’ BECAUSE SIAM BU SAY ‘DON’T WASTE MONEY HANG FLOWER’

0

There are many stories of Siam Diu girls wanting their patrons to hang flower for them, the more the merrier but this story that was contributed by one of our readers is the direct opposite, making our reader feel that he found his ‘true love’ at one of the Siam Diu in Singapore.

Our Reader, who wants to be known as WJ, recently shared that after not ‘chiong-ing’ in the scene for so long, he had casually joined one to two of his friends for drinks recently at one of the Siam Diu in Singapore.

Here is his story

Recently, I decided to join my friends for drinks at one of the Siam Diu because I was nearby the area and had already drank a little but felt that it was not enough.

I met this Siam Bu called ‘Ploy’ during my first visit and we had a good time flirting with each other.

It was her first time to Singapore or so she claims, and when it was time to hang flower, she asked me if I mind hanging flower for her.

Out of courtesy, I hanged a $100 and she smiled so brightly and thanked me for hanging flower for her.

I felt that this Siam Bu was so different as she really gave me the ‘Girlfriend Experience’.

To cut the long story short, I subsequently went back to that diu for a few more times just because of her and I would hang $50-$100 each time.

One day when I was there and it was time to hang flower, I wanted to do the usual but she stopped me from doing so and said that I had already given her ‘enough’ and she purely enjoyed my company and seeing me.

This touched by heart a little and made me feel like it is ‘True Love’.

She even offered to pay my drinks the next time I come, it is like I put Gong Tao on her instead of her putting ‘Gong Tao’ on me.

She even said that she is going back to Thailand soon and invited me to go back with her to have fun in Thailand for a few days.

I don’t know what to do now as I find myself getting fonder of her and it seems like she truly loves me.
