A 19-year-old disabled man with special needs, was savagely assaulted repeatedly inside a hotel room and went through sick torture by his tormentors.

He purportedly had boiling water poured on him, faeces mixed into his Milo drink, and his nasi lemak being spiked with perfume and baby powder by one of his four alleged tormentors.

It was not mentioned if he had consumed the nasi lemak or drank the Milo.

One of the accused, a 17-year-old girl, was charged in court yesterday (20 September) for allegedly pouring boiling water on him, inside an Arton Boutique Hotel room in Tyrwhitt road on 19 January at about 8am.

She is facing one count of voluntarily causing hurt to the man by using a heated substance, and her hearing has been adjourned to 11 October.

Mixed his faeces in victim’s drink

She allegedly committed the offence with 21-year-old Muhammad Shahfakhry Mohamad Faizal, who is accused of multiple offences between 17 January to 25 January, including burning the man’s neck, back and hand with a lighter.

He also allegedly punched, slapped and kicked the victim on at least 14 occasions, as well as hitting the victim with a dustman and causing injuries including facial fractures.

Shahfakhry also allegedly mixed his faeces into the victim’s Milo, as well as putting baby powder and perfume into his nasi lemak.

He is also facing other charges for drug-related offences, including the consumption of methamphetamine – the pre-trial conference for that case is scheduled for 28 September.

Two others dealt with

The two other accused have since been dealt with earlier, with 20-year-old Putri Nuramira Aisha Rosli being sentenced to one year of reformative training, along with another 16-year-old girl who cannot be named due to being underaged.

The group of four met up at the hotel room on 15 January to take drugs, and the victim then started staying with them in the room from 17 January.

Shahfakhry allegedly attacked him not long after, but the reasons for the alleged attack were not mentioned in court documents.

Made him drink urine

The group continued torturing the victim from 17 January to 25 January, with one of the girls suggesting they urinate into a bottle of iced lemon tea and giving it to him to drink, which he did.

They stopped torturing him after seeing that he was in bad shape, and the victim’s younger sister and a social worker then made police reports after he failed to return home.

He was then found in the hotel room and the group was arrested, and he was then conveyed to the hospital in critical condition and warded for 10 days.

Two people were reportedly given a full vial of the undiluted Pfizer-BioNTech Vocid-19 Vaccine at an Hougang clinic last Thursday.

Each vial of the vaccine when undiluted is equivalent to about 5 doses.

The Ministry of Health told The Straits Times on Tuesday that one of the patients was hospitalised following symptoms of headaches and heart rate increase, but has since been discharged from the hospital.

The other affected patient was reported to have no adverse reactions from the full vial dosage.

MOH said that they were alerted to the incident on 19 September and that both of the affected patients were administered the vaccine by ProHealth Medical Group at Hougang.

MOH added that they take a serious view of the incident and is carrying out a thorough investigation, and they added that the clinic and doctor who administered the vaccine have since been suspended from the National Vaccine Programme until further notice.

The woman who flashed a knife at the Singapore Police during a stand off with the police outside a secondary school at Tampines, had reportedly stabbed herself in the abdomen during the incident.

She will be charged for possession of offensive weapons under Section 6(1) of the COrrosive and Explosive Substances and Offensive Weapons Act 1958.

The 53 year old will also be investigated by CNB for suspected drug related offences.

Singapore Police Force’s statement

The Police will be charging a 53-year-old woman for an offence of possession of offensive weapons in a public place.

On 19 September 2022 at about 6.30pm, the Police received a call for assistance regarding a woman allegedly holding and waving a knife along Tampines Street 82. During the engagement with the officers, the woman purportedly brandished a knife at the officers, and used the same knife to stab herself in her abdomen. Despite verbal commands to the woman to place the knife down, the woman allegedly disregarded the officers’ instructions, continued to brandish the knife and placed the knife on her neck and threatened to harm herself further. One of the officers then deployed her Taser on the woman. The woman was eventually subdued and arrested at the scene. Two knives were eventually seized from the woman’s possession.

The woman will be charged in court on 21 September 2022 for the offence of possession of offensive weapon under Section 6(1) of the Corrosive and Explosive Substances and Offensive Weapons Act 1958. The offence carries an imprisonment term of up to three years and caning of not less than six strokes.

The woman will also be investigated by the Central Narcotics Bureau for suspected drug-related offences.

The Police have zero tolerance towards acts of violence that threaten the safety of the general public and public officers performing their duty. Offenders will be dealt with firmly in accordance with the law.
