MAN ORDERS iTEA FROM HOUGANG 1 KENA EXTRA ‘PROTEIN’ IN HIS DRINK

0

The ingredients in bubble tea are simple. There are three primary components that make up a good bubble tea recipe. These are milk, sugar, and tapioca starch but NOT insects.

A netizen who bought a bubble tea from iTea located at Hougang 1 has found an insect in his drink.

This is not the first time something like this has happened to drink sold from iTea, previously a netizen found a fly from the Tiong Bahru outlet.

It resembles an ant and the netizen who drank the tea seems to have already finished more than half of it before discovering the bug.

Here is what the netizen said:

Ordered a drink today from iTEA @ Hougang 1 only to find a ant/cockroach in my drink. Just disgusting and vile to see such a sight.

Hello, would like to stay anon and spread this around or iTEA will not face repercussions.

SIAMBU YOUTUBER FLEES ABROAD AFTER SGD$77M FOREX SCAM, ALLEGEDLY IN M’SIA

0

Natthamon Khongchak, a Thai YouTuber more commonly known as “Nutty the YouTuber”, had allegedly scammed more than 6,000 victims of 2 billion baht (SGD $77 million) in a Forex scam.

She had purportedly claimed to be a successful Forex trader, and used her popularity online to lure victims after promising them high monetary returns in a short time in Forex trading, according to Phaisal Ruangrit, a lawyer who is campaigning to help the victims.

Phaisal said that one of the victims had deposited 18 million baht with the woman.

About 30 people were led by the lawyer to file complaints against Natthamon on 24 August, with the Economic Crime Suppression Division, for her alleged Forex scam.

Natthamon’s YouTube channel Nutty’s Diary, has more than 800,000 subscribers but at the time of writing, her last upload was about 5 months ago.

She had invited her victims to deposit money in her account after promising returns of 25% for 3-month contracts, 30% for a 6-month contract and 35% for a 12-month contract, where she pledged to pay them their returns every month.

Her victims then started complaining in April after she failed to give them their “returns” as promised, and she posted on her Instagram earlier this year on 25 May that she “made a mistake” in the Forex trading and lost all the money, but “promised” to pay them back.

She later announced on 24 June that she was being sued and that if she was to go to jail for her Forex scam, she won’t be able to pay the other investors.

Facebook page Drama-addict then posted on 28 August that Natthamon had fled the country, with one of her victims offering a reward of 1 million baht for information that would lead to Natthamon being caught for her Forex scam.

They added that she had allegedly fled to Malaysia and is in hiding there.

MAN’S MOTORCYCLE VANDALISED AT WORK – DRAWINGS ON HIS BIKE, SEAT TORN, SIGNAL BROKEN

A Facebook user, Muhammad Nurfalaah, shared how his motorcycle was allegedly vandalised and damaged by an unknown person at his workplace.

He posted a video showcasing the various damages done to his motorcycle, where his seat was scratched and torn, as he deduced that the vandal had used a “blade or something”.

His signal light was also dangling when he found his bike, and his frame slider was also bent, as he asked “what kinda person is able to do that?”

He then proceeds to demonstrate how difficult it is to bend the frame slider, and he added that he is “not even mad”, just “impressed” because it took “sheer strength” to be able to bend the piece of metal.

His license plate was also seen bent and dented in the video, as he added that he has since made a police report about the vandalism.

He also added that his motorcycle was not the only vehicle that was damaged, 2 other motorcycles were also found damaged at his workplace.

Here is what he said

Mischief on my bike. DONT MIND THE LANGUAGE USED.

Matter has been reported to the police.

Please share around guys and I hope that this video will reach that person who did this. You might not get caught but I hope you will feel guilty for doing it. Especially to what you have done to the bike that was parked beside me.

NETIZEN NOT HAPPY AS STARHUB GAVE HIM MORE DATA AT PRORATED RATE

0

I experience this very weird situation.

Yesterday (23 august) I receive an SMS notification from Starhub informing me I have used finished my free data usage for this month (august).

So I went into the StarHub app to buy the extra 50GB data add-on for $20 a month.

Today I went into the StarHub app to check. It shows I have 39GB left which means I used 11GB from yesterday.

So I called Starhub and they explained to me

Sh: you will receive a pro-rated charge from 23 august to 1 September for the data add-on.

Me: so the 50GB data add-on will be prorated from 23 august to 1 September too? So how much prorated extra data do I have from 23 august to 1 September?

Sh: only the $20 charges will be prorated. You have a 50GB add-on from 23 august to 1 September. Now you still have 39GB left to use till 1 September. From 2 to 30 September you will be charged a new bill of $20 for a 50GB add-on.

Me: since the extra data add-on of $20 is prorated from 23 august to 1 September, shouldn’t the extra 50GB also be prorated from 23 august to 1 September? Let’s say I pay a prorated amount of $8, then the 50GB is prorated from 23 august to 1 September, I should be getting about 13GB and not the entire 50GB? So I pay $8 and get 13GB for the month of august?

Sh: no. Only your bill is prorated but you will be entitled to extra 50GB of data. You pay $8 and you get 50GB for august.

Me: so the amount of $50 is prorated from 23 august to 1 September. Let’s say the amount is $8. So I pay an extra $8 for august and I can get an extra 50GB for august? It doesn’t make sense what. If the bill amount is prorated, then the data should be prorated too.

Sh: no. You pay $8 and you are entitled to 50GB

Do you all think what Starhub says makes sense?

Is it the staff who give me the wrong info?

M’SIAN ARMY TANK BROKE DOWN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD AGAIN, M’SIA ARMY: “SORRY”

0

Following yet another Malaysian Army tank breaking down in the middle of the road on 26 August, the Malaysian Army has issued an apology for the two separate incidents.

The Malaysian Army issued a statement on 27 August saying that they will make sure this doesn’t happen again but “should it recur”, they will dispatch a standby recovery team to the location as quickly as possible to tow the stricken vehicle away in order to avoid traffic jams.

First incident

The Malaysian Army also explained the breakdowns of their tanks; the PT-91M Pendekar tank had engine issues at about 10.30am on 26 August.

The tank had just finished its exercises for Malaysia’s Independence Day Parade rehearsals, and a recovery vehicle was dispatched at about 11am to tow it back to the National Museum carpark for repair work.

Second incident

The second incident happened on 27 August at about 11.26am, with a prime mover encountering engine problems in the middle of the road in front of the National Museum.

The military vehicle was on the way back to the Perdana Camp in Sungei Besi at the time when it broke down, and a team of mechanics were dispatched to the site to repair it.

The repair work was completed at about 12.30pm and the vehicle then resumed its journey.

A video emerged online showing an accident that happened along Admiralty Road involving a car, that ended up inside a drain.

The incident happened on 27 August and the video was posted onto TikTok by user @mikemike7368.

The netizen who posted the video, was cycling along Admiralty Road in the morning of 27 august when he saw the car stuck inside the “longkang”.

The OP cycled and filmed at the same time, showing vehicles from the Singapore Police Force, Singapore Civil Defence Force and a tow truck.

A group of people who were presumably involved in the incident, were also seen standing around appearing as though they were waiting for help to come.

The car was seen in the video stuck and suspended over the drain, with a destroyed roadside fence laying on the grass.

The SCDF confirmed that they were alerted to a traffic accident that happened along Admiralty Road at about 8am and a person was assessed for minor injuries but refused conveyance to the hospital.

LOAN OFFICER REVEALS THE MOST RIDICULOUS REASONS FOR TAKING A LOAN

0

I’m working for a financial institution (I can’t name it as I might lose my job) in Singapore as a loan officer and I would like to share my story working there.

Imagine most people would only go into debt and take a loan for the most legit and proper reasons like buying a car, buying a home or a business loan.

But I have encountered some weirdos while working and here is some of them. I wished people could grow a brain before they come in to waste my time.

Top 5 weird reasons people take a loan:

  1. A man who was not able to secure much of a personal loan appealed to me and asked for more, his reason:
“I want to take more loan so i can return to loan shark”.
  2. A woman came in for a personal loan and said: “I need the money to do plastic surgery for my boyfriend”.
  3. A couple: “We would like to take a loan so we can afford our dream holiday to Paris for a month”
Me: A month, Don’t you have to work?
couple: “don’t worry we just lost our jobs”

  4. An old auntie: “I want to take a loan to buy a massage chair”
Me: “Auntie, you want to buy a massage chair you take instalments not a loan”
Auntie: “My credit card maxed out”

  5. An uncle: “I need to invest in something”
    Me: What thing?
uncle: “I need to double my investments as I recently lost my investment.
    Me: What did you invest?
uncle: “Its a highly profitable business”
Me: Can you tell me exactly the nature of the business?
uncle: “I need it to go MBS”

    *faint*

Conclusion

I know financial institutes will allow these potential “customers” to see a loan officer but many of them are a complete waste of time.
