MAN TOLD PRC ‘POLICE’ HE TOO FAKE, TEACHES HIM HOW TO BE BETTER

A video went viral after a man recorded his conversation with a PRC scammer.

The man was conversing with the PRC scammer and interviewed the scammer.

He began by asking how long has he been doing a scammer but the scammer thought he asking how long he has ‘work as a police’.

The scammer then revealed that a lot of ‘noob’ people get cheated easily.

$100 WORTH OF VOUCHERS TO BE GIVEN TO ELIGIBLE S’POREANS IN OCT

The Ministry of Finance announced as part of 2020’s budget, that $100 worth of grocery vouchers will be given in October 2021, to about 160,000 Singaporeans who are eligible.

The vouchers are part of the Budget 2020’s Care and Support Package.

They are given out to support the household expenses of Singaporeans in the lower income spectrum, helping them during the period of financial instability caused by the uncertainty of the economy.

Those above 21-years-old in 2021, living in 1 and 2 room HDB flats and who own not more than 1 property, are eligible.

The vouchers will be mailed to the recipients registered addresses from 2 October onwards.

The vouchers can be used to Giant, NTUC, Prime and Sheng Siong supermarkets.

SHOPEE SAID THEY’LL REFUND CUSTOMER 5 DAYS AGO, WANT HIM TRAVEL BACK IN TIME

A netizen shared how he requested for a refund from Shopee on 2 September, which was accepted by the platform.

The website stated that the transaction would take 7 to 14 working days to go thorugh.

However, days passed and soon it had been more than 14 working days, but he had yet to receive his refund from Shopee.

So the netizen decided to email Shopee last night (26 September).

However, a woman named Farini, who works for Shopee SG’s Email Support, replied on 27 September that he can expect to receive his refund on 22 September, which was 5 days ago.

The netizen then replied to the woman that time travel is impossible.

At the time of writing, it is understood that Shopee have yet to reply him, not have any monetary transactions been made by the company.

S’PORE PR WHO KILLED 2 WOMEN IN LUCKY PLAZA CRASH, JAILED 2 YEARS 6 MONTHS

Chong Kim Hoe, 66-years-old, pleaded guilty to one count of dangerous driving causing death on 24 September.

The Malaysian Singapore PR who worked as a PHV driver at the time, was sentenced to 2 years and 6 months of imprisonment.

He had crashed his car into a group of maids outside Lucky Plaza back in 2019, resulting in the death of 2 women and 4 others injured.

Chong will also be disqualified from all driving for 10 years after the completion of his jail term.

What happened?

Chong was taking a smoke break after dropping off a passenger along Nutmeg Road.

He then received a booking to pick up another customer along Orchard, and he then made an illegal u-turn.

The back of his car mounted the kerb along the junction of Jalan Kayu Manis and he then stepped on the accelerator instead of stepping on the brakes.

It then mounted onto the pedestrial walkway and drove across a grass patch before crashing into 6 women who were having a picnic, and crashing through the guard rail.

The car ultimately crash landed on the service road of the mall. (Lucky Plaza).

A video was uploaded on Facebook after a netizen spotted a cat chasing a chicken.

The chicken flew to a tree that is higher than the lamppost. Almost 2 stories tall.

13 Y.O BOY MISSING FOR 2 DAYS, POLICE APPEALING FOR INFO

A 13-year-old boy has gone missing since Friday (Sep 24), the Police are appealing for information that can lead to the whereabouts of the teen.

According to a Police media release, Brian Tan Zhi Yong was last seen riding his bicycle along Sturdee Road in Farrer Park about 8 PM on Friday.

Anyone with information is requested to call the police hotline at 1800-255-0000 or submit the information online at www.police.gov.sg/iwitness.

All information will be kept strictly confidential, said the police.

1939 CASES ON 26 SEPTEMBER, 2 WOMEN PASSED AWAY

 As of 26 September 2021, 12pm, the Ministry of Health has detected a total of 1,939 new cases of COVID-19 infection in Singapore, with 1,536 in the community, 398 in the migrant worker dormitories and 5 imported cases.

A 97-year-old female Singaporean, has passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection on 25 September 2021.

She tested positive for COVID-19 infection on 18 September. She had not been vaccinated against COVID-19, and had a history of hyperlipidaemia. 

Case 87418

A 69 year-old female Singaporean, has passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection on 24 September 2021.

She tested positive for COVID-19 infection on 24 September. She had not been vaccinated against COVID-19, and had a history of hypertension. 

S’PORE SUPERSTAR CELEBRITY KURT TAY TESTED POSITIVE FOR COVID

Singapore’a favourite celebrity superstar and self-proclaimed NXT champion, Kurt Tay Foo Wei, posted a video with some big announcements.

Filming from a hotel room where he is currently residing in, Kurt Tay announced that he tested positive for Covid-19, referring to himself from a 3rd party POV.

It is unclear if he is currently being quarantined at the hotel room seen in the video or not.

PAIKIA PURPOSELY POSE NEXT TO “NO FISHING” SIGN WITH FISH THAT HE CAUGHT

A photo emerged online showing a YP posing next to a “No Fishing” sign.

He was seen holding on to a fish that he had purportedly caught while illegally fishing.

He then posed next to the sign, as a signal of intent for his disregard for the law.

YPS TAKE STEALING TO NEXT LEVEL – STOLE A 15% CASHBACK SIGN

A couple of YPs were seen taking part in the infamous Devious Licks TikTok challenge, where youths film themselves stealing things and posting them online.

They were seen taking stealing to the next level, stealing a Shopback 15% Bonus Cashback sign.

It is unclear who the 2 YPs are, although their Instagram usernames were visible on the photo.
