Four men were charged in court on Wednesday, July 28, for transmitting obscene materials through a Telegram group “Sam’s lots of CB collection”
The group contained alot of leaked sex videos, nudity pictures of women and private videos circulated without the women’s consent.
These are the accused:
Wong Ming Jun, 28, was given 11 charges for possession and transmitting obscene materials. He is also accused of having 2400 obscene videos and 1880 obscene images.
Tan Yeow Chong, 40, was given 7 similar charges. He is also accused of possessing almost 20,000 obscene videos and 7000 obscene images.
Yee Wing Kay, 46, received 10 charges, and was accused of have 18 obscene videos and 72 obscene images.
Anthony Fernandez, 30, was handed 6 charges, and accused of having 118 obscene videos and 406 obscene photos.
Police statement showed that a report was made against the telegram group on Oct 24, 2019 and the men were subsequently arrested on Nov 6, 2019.
Investigations that followed showed that three of them were administrators of the group while one of them was in charge of the sale of the obscene materials.
They could have been given the maximum penalty of six months jail and/or $20000 fine for possession of obscene materials and another three months jail and/or fine for transmitting the materials.
Baiwal applied for a job as a restaurant cook and claims that he has a degree, Sutradhar tried to apply for an S pass as well as an assistant warehouse manager.
The forge degree only cost them SGD$730. While in Singapore any degree would have cost over 5 figures.
Sutradhar was paid up to SGD$3,000 during his employment in Singapore.
A resident on the fourth floor used a laser pointer to shine at drivers trying to blind them, netizens said that the perpetrator is trying to cause an accident at a parking lot located at 622 Yishun Ring Road.

Earlier today at about 6.35am, SCDF was alerted to a fire at the abovementioned location. Upon SCDF’s arrival, the fire was found well-alight on the second floor of two-storey premises.SCDF firefighters immediately deployed water jets around the premises to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading.
Once the fire was under control, firefighters donned breathing apparatus sets and proceeded onto the second floor to locate the seat of the fire. Firefighters had to exercise caution as roof tiles directly above them started collapsing.
SCDF deployed 11 emergency vehicles and about 40 firefighters to the incident. At the height of the operation, four water jets were deployed.
The fire involved the contents of a dance studio on the second floor of the premises and was extinguished by SCDF in about one hour. SCDF is currently performing damping down* operations.
The Town Council building at No. 70 Geylang Bahru is generally unaffected.*Damping down refers to the application of water to wet burnt surfaces immediately after a fire is put out. It is to prevent any potential rekindle of fire from the hot burnt surfaces.
Four new COVID clusters have been identified in Singapore.
Among them is a cluster of nine cases at Westlite Juniper Dormitory. Eight of these cases, who are dormitory residents, were linked to the cluster on Tuesday, 27 July 2021.
There is also a cluster of four cases linked to a cleaner at Punggol Primary School.
The cluster at Marina Bay Sands Casino now has a total of 40 cases, after six more infections were linked to it.
There are currently a total of 39 active clusters in Singapore, ranging between three and 902 infections.
