The Ministry of Health detected 3,598 new COVID-19 cases in Singapore as of 12pm on 23 October 2021. There were 2,804 cases in the community, 790 at migrant worker dormitories, and 4 imported cases.
Six more people have died from complications resulting from COVID-19 infection. Two of these were Singaporeans/ Singapore Residents and four were female Singaporeans between 61-91 years old. 4 of them were unvaccinated against COVID.
Death toll at 300.
Beginning Tuesday, Oct. 26, at 2359HR, travellers (except short-term visitors), with a 14-day history of travel to India, Bangladesh Myanmar, Nepal and Pakistan will be permitted to enter Singapore and transit through Singapore.
Since April, long-term pass holders as well as short-term visitors were disallowed from doing this. 23 for India; May 1 for Bangladesh and Sri Lanka; and Jul. 15 for Myanmar.
MOH also moved 15 countries (including Malaysia and Indonesia) up to Category III, based on their Covid-19 status.
This will result in a decrease in testing and an increase in stay-home notice restrictions to travellers from Malaysia and Indonesia.

A guy shared a story of how he uses his more handsome friend’s photo to catfish girls on dating apps before meeting them.
I’m an average looking Joe compared to one of my childhood friend, who is handsome, charming and never had lack of any female attention.
I decided to use his photos to make my dating app profile one day, and instantly had many matches with girls who are hot and beautiful.
I would ask them out to meet, and then ask my friend to meet them first so as not to arouse any suspicions.
During the meeting, my friend would then make an excuse to tell them that he has a friend that is joining us.
That is when I will appear.

A man shared a story of how his wife left him because he did not give it to her for almost 3 years in their marriage.
Back when I just got married to my wife, I found out that when we were still in our dating phase, she cheated on me.
She admitted it to me just right before the wedding ceremony because she said that she wanted to start our marriage life on a clean slate.
She says that she loves me and that is why she confessed it to me, but hopes that it will not affect anything.
Due to the fact that we were already going to walk into the banquet hall and all our invited guests are present, I did not want to make things ugly and went ahead with the ceremony.
After the celebrations died down, I immediately felt a sense of disappointment and hatred towards my wife.
It got so bad to the point that I did not even want to “do it” with her.
We tried going for counselling sessions and marriage workshops, but I could not put the incident behind me.
To be honest, she is a good person and have always been very nice and loving to me, but I just cannot get over the fact that she once cheated on me.
Our marriage remained s*xless all the way, till she finally decided to leave me because I did not want to “do her”.

NOC’s Ryan took to Instagram to address the leaked Whatsapp screenshots of him saying that he wanted to “k*ll” off two of NOC’s former talents.
He was seen in the messages saying that he intends to “sue her pants drop” and “torture her until she fking just k*ll herself”.
Ryan posted a lengthy apology onto his Instagram, saying that the messages were from 4 to 6 years ago when he was led to believe that a few talents were planning to leave NOC and start a competing channel.
He then realised that he was wrong and had misunderstood them.
He revealed that he has apologised to both Michelle and Aylna (the talents in question), and added that they are both amazing and kind people.
He highlighted he deficiencies and said that he is not a perfect person and that he is sorry.
He also revealed that he tried to resign as director but was disallowed by the majority shareholder of the company, which is Sylvia.

A netizen who claims to be close to both Sylvia and Ryan from NOC, leaked a screenshot of a chat messages between Ryan and an unnamed person.
The netizen told @wakeupsingapore on IG:
“Hi Wake Up SG. I am someone close to both Sylvia and Ryan.
I need to keep my identity secret as we are all afraid of lawsuits and harassment.
The threats are real.
I am sending you this because I hope you will give fair coverage of the NOC saga.
I can show you that these screenshots are authentic. What I hope is that for you to post both sides, and let people reach their own conclusions.
Actually, Ryan has been very active in NOC management over the years and he is still director today.
Anything about the culture and environment, I think it is fair that both parties are blamed. I am not taking sides but I only want to support the talents.
I don’t think it is fair for Ryan to pretend he has nothing to do with the state of affairs at NOC.
I don’t want him to mislead the public or young talents into thinking that he is very good and faultless when a lot of the issues in NOC are also his doing.”
In the leaked messages, Ryan was seen saying that he want to “k*ll aylna off” and “next I wanna k*ll is michelle”.
He added: “I want to torture her until she fking just k*ll herself”.

A video was recently uploaded onto Tiktok showing the similarities between the portrait of a boy on a 2 SGD note and a netizen who appears to be the friend of the video poster.
The 2 SGD note which belongs to the portrait series, was launched on 9 September 1999 and has been in circulation till present.
The portrait of the guy who is allegedly the same as the one in the video can be found on the back of the 2 SGD note.

Following the recent scandal plaguing Night Owl Cinematics’ CEO Sylvia Chan, a video has since emerged showing a tarot card reader seemingly predicting her purported downfall from back in June.
During a Thirsty Sisters podcase, Sylvia had a tarot card reading done on the show and the reader told her that she would have a huge decision to make regarding her assets in about 6 months time.
She said that when that time comes, you would not want to make a decision. You would want to almost be in denial and pretending that you don’t need to make a decision.

A man shared a sighting of three otters who had lost their way on Facebook while he happened to take shelter from the rain under the bridge.
The video taken shows three otters moving in the drain towards the Grab building along Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE).
The man added that the otters could not find a body of water and was trying to cross over to the new Normanton Park condominium development.
The kind hearted man then went to stop them and directed them inland towards the Grab building as he feared that they would become victims of a roadkill if they attempted to cross the expressway.
