BUSKER JEFF NG DISAPPEARS FROM LIMELIGHT, ALL PERFORMANCES CANCELLED

Infamous scandal-ridden Jeff Ng has cancelled his latest performance scheduled today (18 July), with all the subsequent Saturdays also being cancelled.

He had previously cancelled his last 3 performances following the emergence of his scandals and the numerous allegations against him by his former colleagues, fans, friends and girlfriend.

He had cited the rising number of Covid-19 cases for his past few cancellations but has remained tight-lipped over why today’s performance is cancelled.

His performance slot for tonight, which he had booked (according to the National Arts Council last week), has been taken over by another busker.

Ng has cancelled all of his performances after being cancelled, with the subsequent Saturdays also being taken over by other buskers.

Ng has remained silent after the numerous allegations levelled against him, save for his response to his ex-girlfriend, and he has only posted another video of himself singing without mentioning his scheduled (now cancelled) performances.

NTU & SMU DEGREES ALLEGEDLY NOT RECOGNISED IN US/UK – “WHAT UNI IS THAT”

0

Singapore degrees not recognized outside of Asia?

Have been applying for jobs in the US and UK primarily and 8/10 times, I get an email asking me what university am I from and whether if it’s accredited in the local database.

And what’s even more surprising is them not recognizing other universities in Singapore as I’ve heard from friends whom applied for overseas job applications.

I’m from NTU and my friend from SMU similarly had the same experience where the employer or HR would email us asking whether if our University is accredited in their local database.

The only exception were friends from NUS. Everyone else I know from NTU and almost all the time from SMU, we get the same “what university is that?”, Question thrown around.

Can anyone enlighten me?

Netizens’ comments

  • At times u need to have a 3rd party to evaluate your degree, my experience with Canada was I need to do an ECA with WES and they will give your qualification a equality towards their accepted standard. It can be done for US too. I did that for my PR application.
  • End up a UOL degree from SIM may get more traction
Most of these Ang Mos can’t even locate Singapore on the map
  • Oh really? At least for UK. it seems the nation UK recognises NUS and NTU graduates as high potential individuals.
But u r right in a way since SMU got neglected for some reason but I guess that’s because on QS NUS and NTU r in the top 20 all the time and SMU is just…non-existent although we all know it’s well known to be a rly good university….only on Singapore grounds.

HWA CHONG SCHOOL COUNSELLOR DISCRIMINATED LGBTQ PEOPLE DURING ASSEMBLY

A photo emerged online showing discriminatory remarks being made against the LGBTQ community in Singapore during a school assembly session.

The photo shows a slide pertaining to “community health”, with the header “what are LGBT so proud of? emblazoned at the top of the slide.

Prejudices against LGBT community

The slide displayed prejudices against those from the LGBTQ community, with statements such as “33% of homosexuals have problems with alcohol”, and “33% of homosexuals are pedophiles and rapists”.

Hwa Chong Institution

According to Instagram user @heckin.unicorn, the school in question is Hwa Chong Institution (HCI), as the netizen provided evidence that the photo was taken from HCI.

They identified the school’s logo on the podium stand and compared it against another photo taken at an event that happened earlier in May.

Principal to address students

To further corroborate the allegations against the school, a message was also purportedly disseminated to the secondary 4 students addressing the issue.

The message was from “Mr Pang, Ms Lim and Mrs Chin”, who thanked the students for their feedback and concerns relating to the assembly in question.

They said that the school takes a serious view of the matter and that the principal will be addressing the entire cohort on Monday (18 July).

According to inside sources, the presentation was not vetted by the school and was presented solely by the school counsellor, with no external organisations involved.

Email to the students

“Dear Sec 4 Students,

Thank you for your feedback and concerns with regard to Wednesdays assembly session. We appreciate your comments and reflections, and for reaching out to us directly.

The school takes a serious view of the matter. Principal Mr Pang and the school leaders will be addressing the entire Sec 4 cohort next Monday (18 Jul).

Please report to the the High School Auditorium at 7.30am for the morning flag-raising, followed by the session. You need not report to the school terraces.

Should you have any queries, please feel free to reach out to the School Leaders or your Consortium Director directly. We look forward to the engagement session on Monday. Have a good weekend ahead.

Best regards, Mr Pang, Ms Lim and Mrs Chin”

MAN’S COUSIN IS NOT HAPPY THAT HE BOOKED HIS WEDDING BEFORE HERS

0

My fiancee (27F) and me (29M) have been dating for 4 and a half years and have 2 young daughters. I proposed last Christmas (2021) and we have recently booked our wedding for 4th May 2023. We chose this date as we are planning a wedding on a tight budget and as this is a Thursday we benefit from mid-week discounts… plus it’s Star Wars day!

My cousin (25F) and her partner (25M) have been dating for around the same length, and have been engaged for about 18 months. They booked their wedding around a year ago for 3rd June 2023. They have not yet sent save the dates or invites, but I knew their date from word of mouth.

My cousin and I are not really close, and have a very small immediate shared family, meaning there will be a maximum of 10 guests invited to both weddings. Add to the fact that my wedding will be local and a much smaller budget than hers (ours will be around SGD25k-SGD30K hers is SGD10k+), I figured that a months gap would be more than enough.

Anyway, a few nights ago I got a text from my cousin saying she was “hurt that we booked a date within a month of hers”. It’s not my intention to cause hurt to anyone, but moving the date of our wedding will definitely hurt my fiancee (so that will definitely not happen). On top of that, we have already paid deposits for several things, so the financial loss would mean we’d have to move the wedding by around a year.

I’ve had an anxious feeling for the last few days because of this so I guess I’d like to find out if I’m the wrong here, or if I’m justified in keeping the wedding as it is???

GIRL ALWAYS NEED TO PANGSAI WHEN SHE “HAVE FUN” WITH BF FROM “BEHIND”

0

Okay so let me start this off by saying we do NOT have a fecal obsession or anything like that.

However, I do have a lot of stomach issues. If I eat a single grain of rice I’ll immediately have to use the bathroom. So I’ve limited myself to one meal a day.

My boyfriend knows about my stomach issues. Sometimes when we are doing the deed, especially when doggy style (which is unfortunately his favorite), I find myself either having to slightly pull away or clench because it feels like he’s screwing the poop out of me quite literally.

Even if I don’t eat for the entire day it’ll still happen. I thankfully haven’t had an incident yet but I’m terrified I will.

I it rough in bed so I don’t want it change, but even sometimes in missionary he’ll hit something in there and it HURTS.

I’ve never had this problem with anyone else and he’s about average sized maybe slightly longer but that hasn’t affected me before.

I don’t know how to tell him nor do I really want to but it definitely kills the mood sometimes when all I can think about it not pooping myself.

This is absolutely embarrassing to admit but I had to say it to someone

PRC WOMAN PLOTS TO DESTROY MOM’S CAREER AS REVENGE

0

I’m a psychologist, currently doing a PhD in psychology. Psychology has always been my dream and my passion. I did my Bachelor’s and Master’s, internships, and extracurricular activities in Singapore, I always strongly focused on research too. After my PhD, I’m planning to establish a modern clinic back in my home country in China where I left to pursue my studies in Singapore

Back in China my mother is and always has been extremely mean. She would beat me as a child up to the point that I would wet myself, and then she would beat me more for it. She would beat me so hard that my head banged against the wall or floor. She used tools as well, like a wooden cooking ladle. Her reasons were always me not cleaning my room or talking back to her. After I grew up and she couldn’t beat me anymore, she would switch to severe psychological harm. I won’t go too much into it because that’s not the point of this post, but she did horrible things that ruined me as a person, and I’m in therapy to this day. Needless to say, I cut her off and have not spoken to her for quite some time. I can’t forgive her (not that she ever admitted any wrongdoings let alone apologised.

One of the things she loves to do is copying every key decision and passion in my life. As a kid I was in art school as a teen and still sell some work – she enrolled in art school and even went to the same private school that I had, and I quit. Up to this day, she uses one of my paintings as her timeline picture. She even purchased a set of ultra-expensive (fellow artists know) brush pens that I always dreamed to own. She never used them. Two years ago, I successfully lost 17 kg – she took up dieting and failed. My mother is now enrolled in a psychology programme at a private school, aged 60.

She intends to become a psychologist and I’m afraid this time she won’t quit – the issue is that she is not cut out for the job at all and pursues the career under a false profession. She does not do it to help people, she does it to compete with me again. She chose to specialise in child psychology.

Being a child beater, SHE CANNOT DO THE JOB. Not only will she possibly damage her clients, but she will also damage my reputation too, sharing the same name and being my mother. This will cause a horrible reputation for my clinic and will make potential clients think that we operate the same way. I cannot let this happen, I must do something to stop this nonsense.

I’m going to get in touch with my dad to try and stop her. If he can’t help me, I will contact her private school and expose her. In psychology, we have certain things that prohibit people from continuing their studies, because they are not to be trusted to perform the job.

However, I’m writing here, because there’s still a nagging voice in my head that I’m ruining someone’s career after all.

MAN NOT HAPPY WITH NEIGHBOUR SITTING AT WINDOW – “FAN WILL BLOW GERMS TO OTHERS”

Facebook user Raf Ly shared his unhappiness with his neighbour, saying that he suspects his neighbour has covid.

Raf has apparently been analysing and observing his neighbour, and noticed that his neighbour hasn’t driven his car for more than a week.

He also said that he sees his neighbour sitting alone inside his room which is along the corridor, with the windows open and the fan turned on.

Raf said that this is “irresponsible” and that the germs and bacteria will “fly to whoever pass by the room”.

Here is what he said

I suspect my neighbour is having covid.. his car have not been driven for lweek or more..

whenever i pass by his house to throw rubbish or to take the lift, i will see him from the corner of my eye in one of the room along the corridor sitting alone ..

the problem now is, he open his window juz abit & face the fan out into the corridor.. whoever pass by, will feel the fan wind..

that is a very irresponsible behaviour.. all the germs & bacteria will fly to whoever pass by the room…

BF IN ARMY, DON’T LET GF GET A DOG TO KEEP HER COMPANY

0

I (21F), and bf (21M), have been together for 3 years. I absolutely adore animals, particularly dogs.

He is in the army and always not at home. Previously we chose a breed for if we were to have one together, a samoyed. I also asked if he would be open to the idea of me getting my own dog while we lived separately, and if we moved in together, he didn’t have to take care of it or have any responsibility if he didn’t want to, I asked because he made it clear he wasn’t ready yet, but I was, and we had no plans of living together soon.

He said yes, he would be ok with it. We discussed and mentioned it a few times in total at the start of the year.

End of April I was financially, physically and otherwise able and ready.

I called my bf one night and was trying to check if he was still ok if I got my own dog first. He shut me down instantly, before I could say much and said “no, no, no, OP, no, you’re not getting a dog, no”. When I tried to talk about my reasoning, he continued saying no and wouldn’t let me speak.

Long story short. I went with my dad the next day to a few shelters and found a husky X. He was perfect. And bf likes Huskies, and his type of personality, FYI. I fell in love and got him.

Sadly after a few days, he showed signs of fear and aggressive towards my dad, which I now know is due to his previous owner’s ill-treatment of him. I thought a lot about if I was able and willing to keep him due to this, knowing the amount of work and cost he would need for it.

It’s the weekend and bf has met him. It has been brought back up the circumstances of when I got him. And how he was right because he is aggressive and not the “perfect dog”, and how I got him out of spite, and he was right.

I argued that he unilaterally made a decision, whilst I was trying to discuss it with him as a partner should, and tried to include him and check he was still ok with our previous agreement. He says he has no memory of this agreement. I explained again why a puppy wasn’t a good idea for now, but that the next dog would be. And that I choose one I thought he would like that still suited our needs. And that realistically, I’ll be the one, for the most part, taking care of it, especially given I need the company since bf is always in camp and I hate being alone, and we don’t have any plans on living together soon.

He basically had a go at me accusing me of using him or relying on him financially (I have never asked for money, except I once previously did to help with school fees and even recently told him I didn’t want the other half of it when he offered to pay it and didn’t take it).

MAN LIED TO ANOTHER GIRL ABOUT HIS GF “WE’RE NOT DATING, JUST HANGING OUT”

0

Boyfriend told another girl “we aren’t dating, we just hang out a lot”

I’ve been dating my boyfriend for one year. He’s met my family, I went to his family’s wedding and know his family as well.

I sleep over his house all the time and we go to concerts, go to eat, and do other activities together. I’m 26 and he is 38.

We met at work. We both work at a restaurant on the weekend. I kind of chased after him after me and someone else broke up at work. Originally he liked Ashley.

Ashley went away for a few years and now has returned. Ashley asked him about me and he said “she’s not my girlfriend, we just hang out a lot and occasionally go out to eat”.

Someone else told me he was flirting with this girl who liked him behind my back. He told me he’s not even attracted to that girl, he could of dated her before but he’s not attracted to her.

What do you guys think?

Netizes’ comments

  • He is 38 chasing after a (probably) 20-year-old. Cut your losses and run. He is not worth it.
  • I’m pretty sure your boyfriend is doing that to get Ashley to sleep with him (since if she knows you are his girlfriend, she might not want you).
It sounds a lot like he is lying when he tells you he is not attracted to her anymore. I think he still is, and that now that she is back from college and a bit older he definitely still wants to sleep with her.
You deserve better than this. If he had any respect for you and your relationship he wouldn’t be doing/saying any of that
