CATHAY BUSKER JEFF NG ALLEGEDLY BOUGHT IG FOLLOWERS AMID ALLEGATIONS

Infamous Cathay busker Jeff Ng has been accused of buying Instagram followers in the wake of allegations of his self-entitled and unprofessional behaviour.

TikTok user @dylanamite shared a video showing the number of bots following his account, noting that the usernames of those “followers” consist of a string of random numbers and alphabets and generic profile photos with little to no followers of their own.

Before the myriad of allegations against him emerged, his follower count stood at under 80,000; but following the scandal, his followers have since increased to 141,000, allegedly through monetary means.

Responded to claims of buying followers

Ng issued a statement on his Instagram story denying the allegations of him buying followers, saying:

“Hello everyone, sorry but I saw a lot of messages telling me my Instagram account suddenly has many “bot accounts”.

Thanks to those who noticed and let me know, I also just checked and confirmed that it is so. Facing this problem is perplexing and I don’t know how to stop these bots from following me.

Sorry if this incident has generated questions and concerns from the public. Except for Instagram, my TikTok, Facebook and YouTube accounts appear to be normal.

Me and my team are trying our best to handle this issue, and want to thank those who follows me and are genuine fans of my music.

If anyone knows how to fix this problem, you are welcome to let me know.”

GUY TRIED TO STERILIZE HIMSELF BY TYING HIS KUKUBIRD WITH RUBBER BAND

0

vasectomies and ocherktomies are very expensive and my wife saw in a documentary that farm animals are castrated by tying an elastic band over their testicles cutting the flow of blood and the tissue dies,

yeah wow that seems like a good idea to me i said, none of us want to have children anyway and we’re both drunk so lets try it out, what can go wrong..

Well I put on the rubber band and it doesn’t seem very painful at first, surprisingly it was comfortable we even had intercourse and it was nice.

well, well, I went to sleep and suddenly I vomit, I go then to the bathroom and I feel like I’m going to give birth, the most intense pain of my life oh lord,

my balls were already purple, my knees were so weak i couldn’t walk, I’m trembling with pain on the floor I just start screaming ,

my wife ends up cutting the damn rubber with scissors and the relief was immediate.

Netizens’ comments

  • There’s a big difference between castration and a vasectomy…
  • I feel like the difference between a vasectomy and a procedure to remove your balls entirely is pretty large, and I’m confused as to why you’d want to undergo that kind of thing

5 Y.O GIRL HAD SKIN TORN OFF HER HAND IN ESCALATOR ACCIDENT @ ASIA SQUARE

A 5-year-old girl met with an accident during an incident with an escalator at Asia Square at Raffles Place.

The incident happened on 3 June at about 5.15pm, with the girl on the escalator having her hand stuck in a UV steriliser.

A piece of her skin was reportedly ripped off from her hand and she was then sent to the hospital, with the mall currently investigating the incident.

According to Shin Min Daily News, the girl was with her family for dinner at Asia Square Tower 1.

Her mother, Ms Hu, was 2-3 steps ahead of the girl at the time when she saw her daughter stuck at the bottom of the escalator with her head hitting a noticeboard adjacent to her.

She then rushed to her daughter and saw her hand stuck inside a UV sterilizer that was attached to the escalator.

She then pulled her daughter’s hand out as she was afraid her daughter’s fingers might get “twisted” by the machinery.

As a result, a piece of skin was torn off the girl’s hand, and she started bleeding.

The security guards attended to the girl and provided first aid while an ambulance was called.

GUY’S GF ATTRACTED TO HIS “HOT” DAD, WANTS TO SPEND MORE TIME WITH HIM

0

My (18m) girlfriend (18) is attracted to my dad (40m)

Just like the title says, my girlfriend of 6 months is attracted to my dad. They first met about 2 months into our relationship when she came over for dinner.

They seemed to get along pretty well although my dad isn’t a very talkative guy.

Then two weeks later me, my girlfriend and my dad went out for a weekend. And throughout the whole weekend she kept checking him out. It was super obvious.

Not only that but on the first day there she said that my dad is “so hot”. And yeah my dad is objectively attractive, he’s in great shape.

After that weekend she kept asking me to do stuff with my dad. She also insists on spending time with him when she’s over at mine instead of just the two of us.

I’m not a jealous person but her behaviour makes me uncomfortable but I love her and I don’t want to break up her.

But i also feel like she’s with me just to get closer to my dad. What do I do?

MAN ATTACKS SECURITY GUARD AFTER BEING TOLD TO WEAR MASK TO ENTER BUILDING

The Security Association of Singapore issued a statement condemning the attack on a security officer who told a man to wear a mask before entering Tampines Retail Park at the entrance of Giant Hypermarket.

Statement

[Assault of Security Officer While on Duty at Tampines Retail Park]

Security Association Singapore (“SAS”) has received a report and video footage of an egregious incident of assault against a security officer.

On 4 July 2022 at around 1020pm, Security Officer Sures Perumal (“SO Sures”) was on duty at the main entrance of Giant Hypermart at the Tampines Retail Park. His duties included ensuring that persons entering the building were wearing their masks as per the relevant safe management measures.

A male person without a mask sought to enter the building and was advised by SO Sures that he had to put on a mask, but that if he did not have one, he could get a mask from the Guardian Pharmacy just at the entrance of the building. The person was unhappy that SO Sures had called him out for not wearing a mask, and after shouting some vulgarities at SO Sures he entered the building. SO Sures continued carrying out his duties after this initial encounter with the person.

After a short while, the said person suddenly rushed out of the building and without warning, pushed SO Sures, while shouting vulgarities at him. He then started shoving and punching SO Sures. SO Sures did not retaliate. A member of the Giant Hypermart staff and members of the public intervened to stop his assault on SO Sures.

SO Sures suffered from bruises and contusions arising from the attack.

SO Sures is employed by security agency TwinRock Pte Ltd (“TwinRock”) which provides security officers at Giant Hypermart. TwinRock is an SAS member.

SAS strongly condemns this unnecessarily senseless and violent act against SO Sures, who was merely carrying out his duties.  A police report has been made.

SAS President Raj Joshua Thomas said: “This is yet another sickening incident against a security officer who was merely carrying out his duties. New penalties for these crimes against security officers came into effect this year. The police attended to the matter at the scene and we will leave it to the authorities to investigate and take the appropriate action.

While shocking, I am also heartened that a Giant staff member and members of the public stepped in to defend the officer. SAS thanks them for their civic mindedness and responsibility.

Security officers play an integral role in ensuring our safety and security. As front facing workers, they often have to deal with difficult people and situations. We all have a responsibility to support them and to cooperate them. We must have zero tolerance for any ill treatment of our officers.”

This incident has occurred in the same month as Security Officers Day, 24 July (24/7). In light of this incident and others, a new Medal for Professionalism to recognise security officers who have continued to maintain professionalism and carry out their duties in difficult situations, including incidents like these. The inaugural Medals will be awarded at the upcoming Security Officers Day Awards on 21 July 2022.

SAS will continue to render assistance to SO Sures. SAS will also continue working with our tripartite partners to fight against mistreatment of security officers and to raise awareness of the severe penalties for such offences.

Security Officers can report such incidents via the Union of Security Employees Mobile Application or call the Police.

WOMAN CAUGHT RED-HANDED SNIFFING MALE ROOMMATE’S BOXERS

0

My roommate caught me sniffing his boxers

I’m genuinely not joking: I’m sitting behind a screen, using a throwaway and yet I barely have enough courage to post this. Like, I can imagine people’s faces when reading this.

I have a much younger roommate, he’s 23. I know for certain he’s into me. Long story short: he sent a few selfies of mine to other guys, saying ”look at my roommate. She’s not only beautiful, she’s also really charming and elegant”

He made a move on me, I turned him down. I do like him, but we’re living together, I don’t want to be the 32 year old hanging out with a 23 year old kid.

Today he caught me sniffing the front part of his boxers, and what’s funny, it’s literally the first time I’ve done this, it’s not like I’ve been doing this for long, I randomly decided to do that and he unexpectedly walked in.

I have to say, I’ve honestly always found the ”manly scent” very sexy. When he walked in he started laughing, I was soooo embarrassed even though I’m good at hiding my emotions and I didn’t really react, I said ”what’s wrong?” he said ”nothing, I don’t mind you doing that. I just wasn’t expecting someone like you to do that” and he started laughing again and saying ”oh God”

for a split second I genuinely considered jumping out of the window.

VISITORS TO HOSPITAL WARDS TO BE LIMITED DUE TO RISE OF COVID CASES

0

The Ministry of Health said in a statement yesterday (5 July) that the number of visitors at all hospital wards and residential care homes will be limited for a month due to the rise of Covid cases, with effect from 7 July.

MOH’s statement

In view of the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the community, the Ministry of Health (MOH) will be adjusting the visitor safe management measures at all hospital wards1 and residential care homes (‘Homes’) for a period of four weeks from 7 July to 3 August 2022 (both dates inclusive) to protect healthcare capacity and vulnerable patients and residents during this period.

In-person Visits at Hospitals

2. All patients will be allowed two pre-designated visitors for the duration of their admission, and only one visitor may be allowed at the bedside at any one time. Critically ill patients will be allowed up to five pre-designated visitors, and two visitors may be allowed at the bedside at any one point in time.

3. The visit duration will be limited to 30 minutes. In exceptional situations, such as for critically ill patients, paediatric patients, birthing or post-partum mothers, and for patients requiring additional care support2, visitors may be allowed to stay beyond 30 minutes on a case-by-case basis at the hospitals’ discretion.

4. All visitors are to ensure that they are well and are strongly encouraged to test themselves with an antigen rapid test (ART) on the day of the visit to their loved ones at the hospital. Hospitals have the discretion to impose stricter visitor limits or testing requirements for visitors of vulnerable or unvaccinated patients.

5. Visitors are reminded not to eat or drink in the hospital wards, or use the toilets designated for patients in the wards. They should also avoid sitting on patients’ beds.

In-person Visits at Homes

6. All residents will be allowed up to four pre-designated visitors, and only one visitor may visit at any one time with the visit duration limited to 30 minutes. Visitors should continue to schedule the visits with the Home ahead of time. All visitors are to ensure that they are well and are strongly encouraged to test themselves with an ART on the day of the visit to their loved ones at the Home. Visitors should strictly adhere to prevailing safe management measures within the Homes. This includes remaining within the designated visitor areas, outside of the wards.

7. We also seek the understanding of visitors that visits may have to be suspended if a Home is managing active COVID-19 cases. Next-of-kin of residents may approach the Home for further details.

8. All visitors must don face masks with good filtration capability at all times in the hospitals and Homes. These include surgical masks and reusable masks that are made of two layers of fabric.

9. The public is encouraged to test and isolate themselves if unwell, and to seek medical care via the telemedical providers or their family doctors should their conditions worsen. They should only seek medical treatment at a hospital’s Emergency Department only for serious or life-threatening emergencies, such as chest pain, breathlessness and uncontrollable bleeding. This allows those with severe illness in need of emergency care to be attended to quickly and helps to preserve our hospital capacity for those who truly need acute hospital care.

10. MOH will review and calibrate these measures regularly in line with the evolving situation. We seek the understanding and cooperation of patients, residents, their family members and loved ones as we work to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission in our healthcare institutions and residential care homes.

[1] Including public acute hospitals, community hospitals and private hospitals.

[2] Patients who require additional care support, such as patients who have mental incapacities, or family members who are undergoing caregiver training to better care for their loved ones after hospital discharge.

MAN FEELS GUILTY FOR PRIORITIZING WORK OVER HIS SICK PET DOG

0

I know how it sounds but I’m conflicted. I have a dog with my girlfriend. He’s currently living with me though he previously stayed with her.

He’s a very codependent dog and the loud music from nearby my home last night gave him a big scare.

After waking up this morning, he threw up several times. It was clear, almost like water. It was as if he hadn’t ate yesterday. (He ate his dog food.) My mom leaves for work later than me so she said she’d watch him until she left.

He threw up one more time once I left and then laid down and slept with my other dog. My first thought was that it was a tummy ache brought on by stress from last night but the more I’ve thought about it I worry it’s something more serious.

I texted my girlfriend about it and when she woke up she texting asking what he ate etc. My neighbour, who I work with, and I had to go have a meeting with our boss so it would be a bit before I got home.

We grabbed McDonald’s before getting there. My girlfriend said it’s irresponsible of me to be getting food and putting my job over my dog. On one hand, I agree with her and feel really bad that I’ve left him home alone. On the other, I expected her to pick him up.

She picks him up every weekday and brings him to her house so I thought he’d only be alone until she woke up and then she’d come to get him and make sure he’s okay. I’m starting to think I was wrong in assuming this. When I get home, I’m going to take him to poop and see how that looks and if he’s still throwing up and decide if he needs to see the Vet.

GUY’S GF TELLS HIM TO HANTAM HER WHEN THEY PIAK PIAK IN BED, LIKES IT ROUGH

0

My GF (23F) and I (27M) have a very healthy and living relationship. It’s been going on quite well and we decided to move in together last month.

Honestly it was great to finally have the privacy and the ability to spend more time with each other and as a result we ended up having more intimate time in the bedroom.

It was really great for the most part but then last week she told me she likes being beaten. I didn’t know she was into that kinda stuff.

I went along with it and tired it once but she said I wasn’t even 10% of what she expected.

I really don’t feel comfortable hitting her but I don’t know how to tell her this as I don’t want to hurt our relationship.

Netizens’ comments

  • I would say absolutely don’t go down that road with her. Tell her it’s a hard boundary for you. Doing something like that during intercourse when you don’t also want it could be traumatizing for you.
  • If you’re going to go through with something so extreme, get some kind of written and video’d confirmation that this is what she wants to explore.
Last thing you want is to have her frame you. Can NEVER be too careful with things like this.
She might see it as you being paranoid but it is worth it. And of course, if you don’t want to go through with it, no one’s making you. You can always say no
