HORDES OF XMMs DASHING TO SEE KPOP BOYBAND AT AIRPORT LIKE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE

A video emerged online showing hordes of fans dashing across Changi Airport Terminal 2 on 1 July, as if it was a zombie apocalypse and they were running away from the flesh-eating monsters.

However, the world hasn’t ended. Rather, these groups of XMMs were actually dashing to catch a glimpse of Korean boyband NCT 127.

The hordes of crazed fans were rushing to catch NCT 127’s arrival to Singapore at the airport.

A TikTok user, @cassandraleedq, shared a video of the mad rush at the airport, saying that she thought she had “escaped train to Busan”, and that all she wanted was to get to her mother.

She captioned her video: “i thought i escaped train to Busan but nopeeee. i just wanted to get to my mother🥹 #changiairport #nct127”

Cassandra’s mother could be seen in the video seated on one of the seats in the midst of the hordes of XMMs, looking visibly bewildered by what she is seeing.

INFAMOUS BUSKER CANCELS SHOW (AGAIN) AFTER MORE ALLEGATIONS SURFACED

Cathay busker Jeff Ng has been taking over the headlines following a slew of allegations against him by former friends, fans, industry insiders and his ex-girlfriend.

Among the many allegations levelled against him, including his ex-girlfriend describing him as the “worst person” she has ever known, local musicians exposing him for being entitled and allegedly demanding his audiences to clap for him, him allegedly sabotaging his friends (or former friends) air tickets and leaving them stranded overseas, threatening to leave his live stream because his fans were chatting, and confronting a fan for unfollowing him on Instagram.

Cancelled again

His performance last Saturday was cancelled following the emergence of the allegations and exposés, although he cited the “increase in Covid cases” as the reason for his cancellation on 2 July.

However, his performance for today (4 July) at 5pm has also been cancelled, and he has since changed his Instagram profile settings to private and stopped short of providing an excuse a reason for his cancellation today.

Planned performance

Ng was supposed to perform today from 5pm to 10pm at Dhoby Gaut (presumably at the same open area outside The Cathay, according to the National Arts Council website.

Buskers in Singapore are required to apply for a venue and time on the National Arts Council website for their performances.

He also has upcoming performances scheduled for 9 and 16 July, although those performances have yet to be cancelled (yet).

Allegations and exposés

“ACCIDENT” OF TRUCK RAMMING 2 CARS @ ROBINSON RD, IS ACTUALLY TV STUNT

A video emerged online showing a “horrific accident” at the junction of Robinson Road and McCallum Street involving a dump truck and two cars.

The “incident” happened on 3 July at about 8.30am, and it saw the huge truck going full steam ahead and crashing into two cars, crushing both of the smaller vehicles.

Netizens were understandably worried when footage of the horrific “accident” emerged, however, it seems their fears were unfounded.

The “accident” was actually part of a scene that was being filmed for an upcoming Korean drama series called Little Women.

According to The Straits Times, that particular stretch of road was cordoned off for the filming of the scenes, with buses also skipping the bus stops along that street from 7am to 4pm for the production.

Fans also caught a glimpse of South Korean actress Kim Go-eunn at the scene, who was seen greeting her fans as well.

Here are some of the comments

  • Those that think it is unacceptable then you are just some brainless xxxx… Although it’s a fire drill it is supposed to simulate real fire situations. Even now as an adult if we do fire drills we are thought to leave our stuff and go.Parents nowadays have no tolerance.. a little bit also cannot. Always act with emotions and not use their brain.
  • Ok you clearly have not seen or experienced children wearing shoes they take forever and it’s a whole new shitstorm to wait for them to do it , it is good that they are trained like that so when in a real emergency their mindsets are to just get out without the importance of wearing the shoes . Even the Teachers are not wearing , so why KPKB about it ?I am pretty sure the Teachers will look out for hazards along the way to make sure the children are safe . So FFS , just be rational for a moment and don’t just complain for the sake of complaining
  • Please lah..During fire drill, how could you instruct children to wear their shoes, they’ll take their own sweet time to find & wear their shoes before leaving the building..Then in actual geniue fire  situation, guess they’ll follow what they’ve been taught, and find their shoes to put on before they can actually evacuate from danger zones..
  • Its just shoes. Kids will be ok barefoot. Relax. A fire drill is a fire drill. Whats the point of conducting a firedrill if you want them to wear shoe aka not simulating an actual fire emergency

DAUGHTER HELPLESS AFTER MOTHER PASSED AWAY, FATHER IN REPULSIVE STATE

0

I don’t know what to do anymore. I’m 24F, and my mum recently passed. My younger siblings are in school and so am I.

Recently, my father has become worryingly overzealous over little things. For example, yelling if I hand a pen that hasn’t been ‘clicked’ open. Scrubbing the mop after its been used.

Waking us at odd hours asking why our room is messy etc. I’ve asked some family members to step in; and for him to consider counseling. He didn’t take it well and said some very hurtful things. It’s devastating to see him spiraling.

But I really don’t know what to do anymore. People keep saying that he needs time but how can they be so sure?

Here are what netizens think:

  • People can be so sure because they’ve been through the same thing. I did as well. But having said that, everyone reacts differently and perhaps like what others have said, it doesn’t hurt to show your dad more concern every now and then.I personally don’t think he needs counselling but perhaps for you and your siblings to step up abit more.
  • This is a great trauma and stress to your dad. He is trying his best to take up mum position at this grief moment. Time to speak to him in peace moment and help your dad to take up the position. It’s tough but it’s life. Jia you
  • He must be hurting a lot inside. After spending 30 years or so with a person it must be hard to let go suddenly. Give him more time, support, and patience.
  • Try hugging him. Don’t say anything when he does those overzealous stuff, just hug him tight. And let him know as much as you can, you love him, that it’s ok for him to be in pain, and that he is enough.
  • He is trying his best to take a mothers duty. Sit down with him and say nicely that u appreciate his effort but maybe he can tone down abit as u n ur siblings also understand what ur family been through.
  • He is suffering from anxiety after losing his long-time support. Just show him more love and compassion for faster healing.

WOMAN “FEELS PITY” FOR ELDERLY MAN EATING SANDWICH ALONE

TikTok user Shafinaz (@clumsydaisyxxxz) shared a video on 2 July showing an elderly worker having his meal alone outside Far East Plaza.

The netizen spoke to MS News and said that she was having her breakfast when she was the elderly man eating alone, spreading peanut butter on his bread.

Feeling pity for the elderly man, Shafinaz then bought a few drinks and some snacks from a convenience store nearby and gave it to the elderly worker.

She said that the man reminded her of her parents as her father works as a cleaner as well, and she said that “i just hope that the least we could do is be nice to them.”

Netizens’ comments

  • If you help, just help. Don’t take his picture and broadcast that you helped. Did you ask for permission to post? Have you thought that you could be embarassing him or his children?
  • What is so emotionally daunting about eating alone? Or having a simple peanut butter sandwich for bfast? I think there are many of us who enjoy our moments alone without a kaypoh interfering. Know your boundary!
  • No need show e whole world u were kind to him in e name of bringing attention to e plight of this uncle. Do good in private. Respect e privacy of e uncle. Its only a small gesture. Does the photo taker even feel proud of his actions?

Editor’s note: My lunchtime I also eat alone leh, does that mean I am pitiful also? lol

HUSBAND BORED OF HAVING “S” WITH WIFE, ONLY ONE POSITION ALWAYS SAME

0

My wife (28F) and I (30M) have been married for several years, and our life is generally awesome and blissful. We are each other’s first bf/gf, are also each other’s best friend.

This means that we really just speak about anything and everything, and we haven’t really argued about anything since knowing each other. We are relatively successful at our careers so far, making enough money and also leaving a lot of time to spend with each other as well.

There’s just one problem. Our S life is very boring, by all standards, as you will read about soon.

This becomes even worse because I am pretty open to and seek new experiences in all aspects of life, such as food, entertainment and even at work. Actually, my wife is normally quite open as well, and we manage to experience many new things together, but in terms of S, she becomes dreadfully conservative.

One example is, when we got married, it took her about 6 months to be mentally ready for intimacy. This is already quite weird, because we dated for quite long (around 5 years), but apparently that dating process and getting officially married wasn’t enough for her. But this is still not a problem to me.

One big concern to me is that we only ever have S in one particular position. Yes, the exact same thing, from start to end, every single time, for several years since we started getting intimate. It is really getting boring, and in my mind, it is really becoming a chore.

I still love her very much and think that she is physically attractive, but the repetitiveness is affecting me. Think of it as eating the same delicious food every day, it will still eventually become harder to eat and less tasty. Or, let’s say, even if there was a peeping tom with a hidden camera in our bedroom, I doubt he would be still interested in watching us, haha.

The thing is, I have, for a long period of time, constantly tried to suggest new things to try. But she is rather resistant, and just rejects them most of the time. In the occasions when she is willing to give it a try, she usually stops me almost immediately, saying that it feels weird or she doesn’t like it.

And of course, I don’t pressure her whenever she rejects me or dislikes something. In case I get bashed in the comments, I must preface this with a disclaimer that we are both very vanilla with pitifully little experience, so these “new things” that I have suggested are really just simple tutorial-level stuff I googled off the internet. The extent of this, is that it can even include small changes to the brand/type of lubricant or condoms. In other words, we are “noobs”, and I have suggested very healthy and simple things to spice up our S life, but in vain.

However, this is only the first part of the problem.

Recently, my wife has been hinting that we are not having S often enough.

To preface this, just a brief description of how things work between us: I am always the one asking for it, and she either says “okay” or “not today”. So, she basically hinted that I have not been asking for it enough, and seems concerned about it. Frankly, I have just been responding by saying that “I don’t know. But probably due to work stress and also the reduction of testosterone as we age”, which is only partially true. On a side note, I am not sure why she is concerned about the frequency, but is not taking the initiative to ask for S – but this is a different problem.

Anyway, I have actually been purposely slowing down the frequency quite considerably, because I felt that spacing out the sessions helped me mentally, and also made each session more exciting for me. In fact, I was starting to get some performance issues at our previous frequency, mainly because it felt like a chore. But I am afraid that saying this outright would hurt her feelings. And I don’t want to use this as a reason (or threat) to get her try new things, as it is really just my own issue.

As I don’t have close friends or siblings to confide these things with or ask advice from, I have to resort to posting it anonymously. I know that going to a S therapist is a potential solution, but I already know what my wife’s response to that will be.

Plus, posting here, I actually just want to know if this is really a problem? Is this actually normal for couples, who are a few years in? Is there anyone that has resolved a similar problem? Any tips on what I should do next?

GUY “THOUGHT” HE WAS HANDSOME, BUT GOT NO MATCHES ON DATING APPS

0

bro, I thought I was handsome until today

I have downloaded many dating apps, I still have it, im getting 0 likes, like literally no one liked it, I have been waiting for someone to like me for days but bruh, no one did,

maybe because im just ugly, it just drained my confidence, lmaoo

Netizens’ comments

  • I wouldn’t take it personally. Women on dating apps get spammed so much that it can be overwhelming and hard to reach out/respond. Most of the messages are aggressive, insulting, sexual harassment, so it makes it hard to connect with authentic people.
  • My husband had the same problem. Even before we were dating I thought he was really good looking but he got 0 matches on dating apps. I looked at the photos he used one day and honestly told him they made him look like a jerk. Tank top photos of him at the gym or posing with a guitar. He was trying too hard to look sexy and no photos of him smiling or anything. He’s actually a huge nerd and really sensitive. But I would not have matched with him if I’d seen his profile.
Not saying this is your issue, just that dating apps can’t really be trusted to give the full picture of a person or gauge your attractiveness.
  • Did you use posed/staged photos? If yes, don’t. Use a photo that shows you naturally laughing, best with a pet or in a common setting doing stuff that you really enjoy.
  • Most posed or staged photos will look cool in your eyes but pretty dumb for almost everyone else even if you look pretty smart otherwise.
