I just broke up with my bf today. He is the most perfect bf I’ve ever had. He dotes on me, and takes care of me when I’m sick and injured.

He expresses his love alot through actions and not just talk, he often initiate to do things for me without me even asking. He’s always thinking of me and prioritising me. His family is also extra nice to me. He even accepts that I’m ill and can’t have children. “I have been together with C for almost 5-6 years.

I have always believed that C is a honest and faithful guy, even doubting my close friends a few times when they told me things about him.

It turns out that C actually has been leading my trust towards him on to the extent where I feel so gullible.

There are a few things that I found out about C recently which he had used lie after lie to cover up.

He used to be a habitual gambler, but told me that he has already stopped gambling apart from the occasional 4d and toto that he still buys which I am totally fine with.

Turns out that he owes many different people money outside close to almost 6 figures due to his gambling habits and just went MIA from them.

According to his friends who lent him money, he promised to pay back a certain amount every month but always comes up with excuses like his pay is not in or his client who is supposed to pay him is delaying his money.

My parents also recently lent him money which he said he needed to start up a business and he is supposed to pay them back the capital in two months time.

I fear that when the time comes and he is not able to pay up, he would use the same excuses that he is using to his friends on them and things would turn ugly because my parents have been around for long and can tell a truth from a lie.

I also recently found out that throughout our 5-6 years of relationship, he has been having many flings at his workplace and even hooked up with his friend’s friend from outside and yet he still acts so sweet and faithful towards me.

Following a series of islandwide investigations targeting nightlife venues, police announced on Thursday that 17 males had been detained for being suspected members of criminal societies (Sep 16).

The following places were raided:

• Beer Belly Lok Lok Bar at 11 Irving Place
• Chips Cafe and Pub
• Ocean Star Bar & Grill
• Oh My Bistro at 9 Yio Chu Kang Road.

The raid was conducted between Crimminal Investigation Department, Secret Societies Branch and 7 other Police Land Divisions.

Safety distancing officers from various agencies were also involved in the raid.

Anyone found guilty to be a member of an unlawful society can be jailed up to 3 years and/or fined up to SGD$5,000.

For breaching COVID-19 safety measures, one can be fined up to SGD$10,000 and/or jail up to a maximum of 6 months.
