REPUBLIC POLY STUDENT GETS PROBATION FOR FILMING WOMAN IN TOILET

A student from Republic Poly was sentenced to probation for filming multiple women at Jurong Medical Centre.

He was working at Jurong Medical Centre during his internship.

21-year-old Gerald Che Hong Yao was sentenced to two years of probation he also has to stay at home from 11 PM to 6 AM and do 60 hours of community service. His parents had to pay a bond of SGD$5,000 to ensure his good behaviour.

How he got caught

After he was send Jurong Medical Centre to start his internship he was suppose to work as an IT support staff, however instead of working he spend time lotering outside female toilets.

When a woman goes in he would follow and use the cubicle beside the woman to film them, he would raise his phone above the cubicle and film woman peeing or taking a dump.

He was caught in Jan 2021 after a woman spotted a phone above her, Che tried to run away. But the woman called the Police.

He committed such acts for at least 9 occasions including MRT, bus and shopping malls and even in school.

26 Y.O BREAKS INTO MINI MART AT GEYLANG TO STEAL CASH NAD CIGARETTES

According to a Police media release, a 26-year-old man was arrested for his suspected involvement in a case of housebreaking and theft.

The incident happened on 23 July 2021 at around 8.25 pm, the Police were alerted to a case of housebreaking and theft at a minimart along Geylang Road, It was reported that cash amounting to S$2,000 and a carton of cigarettes were stolen from the minimart.

The Police were able to identify the suspect through investigations and with the aid of images from closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage.

The officers were able to establish the identity of the man and arrested him but only $960 was recovered and seized.

Alleged Serial Burglar

Preliminary investigations revealed that the man is believed to be involved in two other cases of theft along Geylang Road on 21 July 2021.

The man will be charged in court on 26 July 2021 with housebreaking and theft under Section 451 of the Penal Code.

The offence carries an imprisonment term of up to 10 years and a fine. 

LAWRENCE WONG QUOTES BATMAN MOVIE: “IT’S ALWAYS DARKEST BEFORE THE DAWN”

Co-chair of the Multi Ministry Task Force, Lawrence Wong, borrowed a quote from the Dark Knight movie at the end of his Ministerial Statement on 26 July.

He offered a hopeful message for Singaporeans pummeled by the relentless pandemic and restrictions being imposed and reimposed.

He said: “”It’s always darkest just before dawn. So let’s be strong and keep the faith. The dawn is coming.”

He paid tribute to two Singaporeans who are giving their all to help contain the spread of the coronavirus:

Lok Chun Kiet, a cleaner who attends to high-risk locations; and Siti Zulaina Bte Md Said, a Senior Medical Technologist with the National Public Health Laboratory at the NCID.

He asked the House to join him in giving the two unsung heroes a “big heartfelt thank you” for their “mission critical work” that requires long hours that stretch into weekends and public holidays.

40 Y.O MOTORCYCLIST ARRESTED FOR ALLEGED DRINK DRIVING, CAUSE ACCIDENT @ CTE

A 40-year-old female motorcyclist was arrested for alleged drink driving.

She was involved in an accident along the CTE on 24 July.

The police confirmed that a 40-year-old woman was arrested for suspected drink driving and was conveyed to the hospital conscious.

The accident happened along the CTE towards SLE.

WOMAN BREAKS INTO REDHILL UNIT AND STOLE $18,000, ARRESTED IN 5 HOURS

According to a Police media release, a 51-year-old woman was arrested by the Police for her suspected involvement in a case of housebreaking and theft.

The incident happened on Sunday (July 25) at about 7.10 pm.

The victim reported the incident to the police saying that there was a case of housebreaking at a residential unit located along Redhill Close and cash which was stored in a bag containing amounting to S$18,000 was stolen from the unit. 

Through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from  Police cameras, officers from Clementi Police Division established the identity of the woman and arrested her on the same day at about 11.45 pm.

The woman will be charged in court on 27 July 2021 with housebreaking and theft under Section 451 of the Penal Code.

The offence carries an imprisonment term of up to 10 years and a fine.

NISSAN GTR VS MERCEDES, DRAG RACING ONCE TRAFFIC LIGHT TURN GREEN

A video emerged online showing a Nissan GTR racing a Mercedes A45 at a road junction.

The two cars were seen speeding off and racing once the traffic light turned green, with black smoke coming out of the GTR’s exhaust.

The incident occurred on 23 July at around 8.32pm.

166 PEOPLE INVESTIGATED FOR AH LONG ACTIVITIES, YOUNGEST AT 15

The Police are investigating 166 persons, aged between 15 and 69, for their suspected involvement in unlicensed money lending activities.

Two-week anti-unlicensed moneylending operation

The operation was conducted between 12 and 25 July 2021, officers from the Criminal Investigation Department and the seven Police land divisions conducted simultaneous raids island-wide.

Preliminary investigation revealed that:

  • 15 suspects are believed to have conducted harassment at debtors’ residences
  • 28 suspects are believed to be runners who had assisted unlicensed moneylenders in their businesses by carrying out Automated Teller Machine (ATM) transfers
  • one suspect is believed to have provided false contact information leading to harassment being carried out against an innocent victim’s residence
  • one suspect is believed to have operated an unlicensed moneylending business issuing loans to several borrowers in Singapore.

The remaining 121 suspects are believed to have opened bank accounts and provided their ATM cards, Personal Identification Numbers (PINs) and/or Internet banking tokens to unlicensed moneylenders to facilitate their businesses.

Under the Moneylenders’ Act (Revised Edition 2010):

  • First-time offenders found guilty of carrying on or assisting in a business of unlicensed moneylending shall be punished with imprisonment term of up to four years, a fine of between $30,000 and $300,000, and caning of up to six strokes; and
  • First-time offenders found guilty of committing or attempting to commit any acts of harassment on behalf of an unlicensed moneylender shall be punished with imprisonment term of up to five years, a fine of between $5,000 and $50,000, and caning of between three and six strokes.

GENEROUS AUNTIE GIVING OUT $50 NOTES TO FOREIGN WORKERS

A video emerged online showing an auntie giving out money.

The generous auntie was seen handing out $50 dollar notes to a group of foreign workers who were resting under the shade.

Much respect to this kind auntie, kudos to her!

TEEN FORGED IC TO ENTER CLUB AT ORCHARD, CAUGHT BY BOUNCER

A 17-year-old YP wanted to join his older friends and go the club forged his identification card and used it on several occasions to sneak in.

The first incident in 2019 was when the boy was only 15 he photocopied his NRIC and edited it so it appeared that the boy was over 18.

In the second incident, In Jan 2020, the boy used the fake ID to access Sticky Fingers located along Keng Cheow Street but he was caught by security.

Third incident Feb 2020, the boy knew that his friend was going to the party and planned on making another identification check to bypass the security.

He edited photos of his original identification card and print it out at Tampines mall. However, the bouncer at Club One Min caught and detained him before calling the Police.

The teen will return to court next month for his sentencing and he might get a probation sentence.

Normally, anyone who is convicted of forgin NRIC to commit fraud can be jailed up to 4 years

A group of young punks recorded their illegal party and posted it online. They exceed the number of pax and none of them was wearing a mask.

There are so intelligent to do so just like shooting yourself in the foot.

If they are caught by the Police for not wearing a mask or not wearing a mask properly he can be charged under the Covid-19 (Temporary Measures) (Control Order) Regulations 2020.
