MAN BREACHES STAY HOME NOTICE, VISITED ADMIRALTY TO EAT AND POST ON FB

A man was supposed to stay home after he was issued a stay home order after he returned to Singapore from Myanmar.

Instead of staying at home, the man went to an eatery located at Kampung Admiralty and even post the dishes he had online.

Friends that are aware of his stay home notice comment and reported his actions to the authorities

Yesterday morning (24th), a netizen posted on social media Facebook that his friend returned to Myanmar one or two days ago and went to a food court to enjoy Bak Kut Teh on the same day after he was issued a stay home order.

Not only did he violated the stay home notice, but posted photos online making his friends uncomfortable of his behaviour

The netizen later updated the content of the post, saying that someone had notified the Ministry of Health about the matter, and the authorities were investigating the incident.

WHATSAPP MESSAGE CIRCULATING OF INFECTED NUS STUDENT GOING ZOUK IS NOT REAL

A message has been circulating on Whatsapp of an NUS student who sneak out from home and visited Zouk, Zouk posted on Facebook earlier that this is not true as Zouk did not receive any quarantine orders from the authorities.

This is what Zouk said on Facebook

“Dear Zoukettes,”

“It has come to our attention that a message has been circulating about a student who was confirmed to have COVID-19 visiting our premises over the weekend. We would like to clarify that this is unverified information. We seek your kind understanding to not engage in the sharing of this message while we investigate further.”

Zouk has since reported the incident to the police and an investigation is ongoing. Please do not spread unverified information.

The fake Whatsapp message looks like this

“LATEST IDIOT: NUS student just returned from exchange. On Stay Home notice. Then sneaked out last sat night to Zouk. Next day positive and now the whole section of Zouk quarantined.”

“Another spike coming up soon….contact tracing now on.”

The Singapore government is very serious about movement restriction on people who are issued a stay home notice. The following is the punishments that will be issued to those who do not adhere to the rules.

Local residents are to adhere to all stay home notices and must not leave their homes to make the situation worse. Jail and a fine of up to S$10,000.

Any person guilty of an offence under Section 21A of the Infectious Diseases Act shall (a) in the case of a first offence, be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $10,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or to both; and (b) in the case of a second or subsequent offence, be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $20,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months or to both.

3 CONFIRM CASES AT BAYSHORE CONDO, NEAR TANAH MERAH AND BEDOK

According to an advisory from the condominiums management. Three confirmed cases stay at The Bayshore condominium, the address of the condominium is 34 Bayshore Rd, Singapore 469976.

All three cases reside in separate towers of the condominium.

The three cases are located in Tower 1B, 2A and 2B. The advisory did not specify which unit the confirmed cases stay in.

Entertainment facilities such as the playground, swimming pools and other facilities in the condominium have been closed till the 3rd April 2020.

Deep cleaning and disinfection are ongoing.

38,000 PEOPLE ON CORONAVIRUS STAY HOME NOTICE, SINGAPORE

According to a media release, there are at least 38,000 people serving stay home notices.

NGEE ANN CITY, FENDI STAFF INFECTED WITH CORONAVIRUS

According to the latest media release, a staff working at FENDI retail outlet located at Ngee Ann City is a confirmed coronavirus case.

The store has since been close since.

Ngee Ann City issued a notice to tenants on Tuesday (24 Mar) confirming that the confirmed case works on the first floor.

The last time she went to work was on Monday 23 March 2020.

PASIR RIS D’RESORT CONVERTED TO ISOLATION FACILITY FOR CORONAVIRUS PATIENTS

According to MOH, D’Resorts Facility that is located in Pasir Ris will be converted to an Isolation Facility for confirmed case-patients who are in better health conditions.

This information was released by MOH on the 24 March 2020.

Pasir Ris D’resort has a capacity of 500 and patients who will be warded there will continue to receive medical attention.

The patents who are well enough to go home but still positive for the virus will be isolated at the resort.

The patients are legally required to stay in

Any patients who are sent to this facility are required to comply with the isolation order and must remain the in the facility until they are no longer tested positive for the virus.

MOH Director of Medical Services, Kenneth Mak said that the isolation order is  “equivalent of a quarantine order “, they will ensure that the patients do not leave the premise.

FENGSHAN SPARKLETOTS CHILDREN GOES ON QUARANTINE AFTER MORE STAFF UNWELL

One of the confirmed cases is a teacher from PCF Sparkletots located at Fengshan. The teacher was tested positive for Coronavirus on the 23 March 2020.

Some staff has started to report that they are feeling unwell and has started 14 days quarantine.

Singapore residents and Long Term Pass holders who leave Singapore from the 27th March 2020, will be paying unsubsidised rates for inpatient stays in public hospitals.

If you are admitted as a suspected coronavirus case and have any symptoms of the virus within the 14 days after returning, Singapore residents will not be allowed to claim from MediShield Life or Integrated Shield Plans for both Public and Private Hospitals.

Work pass holder or dependants who leave Singapore will not be prioritised for reentry and face delays before approval to return.
