GRABFOOD CUSTOMER PUT WRONG ADDRESS, THEN COMPLAINS ORDER “TOOK TOO LONG TO DELIVER”

0

My dad works as a grab rider and sometimes I feel bad for him when he shares all his stories from petty customers.

Once a customer purposely indicated the wrong work address. Dad tried to call but customer refused to pick up. He went around to look everywhere for the customer.

After a awhile he received a notification saying that order was cancelled. Customer then complained that my dad took too long to deliver and item was not received. Oh it was also a cash on delivery so yea.

Thank god my dad took my advice and took multiple screenshots of the calls he made to the customer and the messages sent and also his exact location based on the GPS, with a picture of the location plus Timestamp.

Grab wanted to penalise him but that saved him.

Netizens share their experiences

  • I just accepted the job and the customer immediately asked “Where are you?”. Like bro, relax la restaurant also must cook your food right?
  • when i did grabfood, there was this customer that messaged me
Customer: “ why are you taking so long?”
me: “ Sorry for the delay, restaurant is really busy please be patient”
Customer: “ Do u think its fine to take ur own sweet time when u are working for me?”
me: “ Theres nothing i can do about it as im just here to collect the food not cook it. Kindly use ur brain next time please:) ps. The world does not revolve around you”
Customer: “ dare to talk back??? i will report to grab for unprofessional behaviour. Good luck.”
me: * takes pic of the gate with his food hanged on the door with my middle finger out* “ Have a great fking day piece of shit:)”

MAN’S GF CALLED HIM HER “PRETTY PRINCESS” IN FRONT OF FRIENDS, BUT HE LOVES IT

0

My girlfriend (19F) and I (19M) have been dating for some time and we both have a habit of playfully teasing each other.

For context, I’m a big guy and I’ve been told that I’m quite intimidating due to my size and personality.

That being said, the other day my girlfriend called me her “pretty princess” while hanging out with our friends.

Of course I reacted as though I hated the idea in front of my friends, but it has been on my mind since. Every time I think about her saying that it puts a smile on my face and just makes me melt inside.

I love it so much and I just hope she continues to use the nickname going forward.

Netizens comments

  • If you two get in an argument (over a petty thing) I hope she says to you: “Well, excuse me Princess”.
  • Make sure if you haven’t told her already, that you actually liked it, and most importantly WHY you liked it.
  • Can you imagine if she’s with some friends that don’t know you and says “the princess is running late as usual but he’ll be here in a minute”. Then you arrive.
  • My boyfriend is a big strong guy and he loves it when I call him my sweet little Kitten. Maybe I’ll float princess by him later and see if he gets the same little glow about him.

DISHWASHER JOB AT JEM SHOPPING MALL RESTAURANT PAYING $3,100

Finding a job in Singapore is not as hard one would think as long they do not have much preference.

A netizen posted a photo on Facebook of a Chinese restaurant located at JEM shopping mall.

The poster stated that a dishwasher is getting paid a salary of $3,100 and it is only $100 lesser than the Management Trainee and $300 lesser than the Assistant Restaurant Manager.

However, netizens are sceptical about the job advertisement and a discussion began on Facebook with over 220 comments.

A netizen said:

“Give high salary you say dodgy, give low salary you kpkb, what is it exactly you want? I mean it is obvious that at $3,100, the hours will be longer because responsibility in this case is minimal as a dishwasher. You expecting a dishwasher to work 8hrs and get paid $3,100? Thats not a reasonable ratio and lets face the reality please. A chef has quality to assure, food to prepare, ingredients to prepare, the hours compensated by the skillset, thus lower hours of work, nothing wrong about it.”

Another netizen said:

Actually not surprising, dishwashers are usually 12 hours/day work.15 yrs ago when my friend’s restaurant was hiring dishwashers, even at $2500 did not suffice. They usually work for a few days and then disappear, even though there was a commercial dishwasher…not hand wash.Their main duties are usually scrap away the food leftovers, stack in the standard square baskets and push into the dishwasher. After wash, remove basket and put plates and bowls into place. The scrapped food in the dustbin need to be taken to the bins to be disposed. Basically this is the main duty of a dishwasher. But it’s on their feet all the time. Actually not many old folks can take the job due to health reason. It’s really hard work.As this job is also considered as unglam, hence hirers have to attract with high wages. Even then, not many actually applied.”

Poster of Job Ad

Here are what netizens think:

  • Want to attract locals? give them useless titles…They like useless titles…Maybe instead of the dishwasher (sounds so no face), can call it Sanitation Officer…
  • Aiya, if they really sincere paying such kind of salary, this advertisement doesn’t even need to put up
  • They need the money lah. And it is a very manual job.
  • This is just to show that they trying to get local workers. Eventually it will be fulfilled by foriegn workers
  • Never put working hour. And it looks super dodgy. They do this to show govt they can’t get locals. Need ft

DOWNSTAIRS NEIGHBOUR THREATENED FAMILY & ACCUSED THEM OF DRAGGING FURNITURE

Neighbour complaint about hammering noises, dragging of furnitures and even sounds of footsteps and drawers closing

Hi everyone, I am kinda at my wits end hence I am posting here to ask for opinion on what I should do? I just want to hear what others have to say about my situation. Might get a bit lengthy because I want to ensure all details are as specific as possible so that I can truly get a accurate opinion.

Just some context I am a 19F living in a HDB with my mom & my bro (17M). Note that this will be impt later in the post. Or maybe not, I don’t know.

So a month ago, the neighbour living below my unit came up to my house one morning and banged on our door hella hard, I meant really hard. Nobody was in the living room at the time because we were all asleep while my mom was doing laundry. When my mom opened the door minutes later the neighbour raised his voice really loud which woke me up from my sleep and I heard he scolded my mom about all the ruckus that we have been causing early in the morning like dragging of furnitures. I went out and asked him which room he stays in and he says he stays in the same room as me below our unit and I told him I was literally asleep since last night, there was no way I made those noises. He left after awhile.

2nd time he came up, I was in the toilet and my brother was the one who opened the door so I was not sure whether he shouted at my brother or what but I heard he went up to the storey above us to ask about the noises.

3rd time (just yesterday), he banged on our door with a long stick that left some marks on our wooden door. I walked out of my room and before I could react, my brother had already opened the door. He started being verbally abusive towards us and shouted hella loud again and said “if the noise doesn’t come from you then who is it from?” Despite me and my bro telling him repeatedly it is not us, he didnt wanna hear it and our neighbours came out to see what was all the shouting about. When he left, my bro and I were badly shaken and we teared up because it was just us at home. I called the police shortly after and they came to take our statements. The guy said that there is no way the noise caused by the unit above me could travel down to his unit. I hear the same thing everyday and it was worst last week with the sudden loud hammering at 9 in the morning. HDB said that they are unable to interfere because they are just developers. What should I do now?

Edit: just found out that this isn’t the first time he came to confront us with a weapon. the first time was a umbrella, my neighbours saw it but none of us were homed.

PRC MAN MURDERS GF BY RUNNING CAR OVER HER HEAD SEVERAL TIMES

0

China: On August 2, Hebei Province reported that at 11:53 AM that a man drove a car and knocked down a woman.

After the preliminary investigation, the suspect Zhang ran down his girlfriend Wang due to conflict and fled the scene.

At about 3 o’clock in the afternoon, the man knocked down his girlfriend with a car, and drove back and crushed her body several times. The woman was sent to the hospital and died after rescue efforts were unsuccessful.

It can be seen from the video that the woman was first hit by the man’s car and fell to the ground. After the woman fell to the ground, she was able to move. The man then drove over the woman’s head.

After that, a lot of onlookers came. The onlookers were afraid that the man would cause harm to the woman again, so they dragged the woman to a relatively safe place.

But the man didn’t stop there. After he reversed the SUV, he adjusted the direction and accelerated again to hit the woman. The onlookers hurriedly dodged.

After the man drove over the woman again, he rammed a small white car away from the parking lot. He steered to the left, turned around, came back and crushed her body again, and so on. It can be clearly seen in the video that there are many wheel marks on the ground, and the picture is shocking.

After onlookers called the police and preliminary investigation by the police, the driver of the SUV was Zhang Moumou and the victim was his girlfriend Wang Moumou.

At about 3 pm that day, the criminal suspect Zhang Moumou has been arrested and brought to justice. Currently, the case is under further investigation.

After seeing the video, some netizens said that the person next to woman had already rescued her once, but unfortunately this man was mad and wanted to crush the woman at all costs, it was terrifying!

BF USING GF FOR FINANCIAL GAIN, DON’T WANT HER TO BUY FOOD SO HE CAN BUY PS5

0

Hiya ladies! I’m in need of a little help.(this is going to be long read).

I (27f) have been with my bf (27m) for nearly 2 years now and honestly, it started out great. He would travel by MRT to my house and would visit me nearly every day and would bring me drawings he made and homemade French toast with blueberries or my favourite chocolates when he could

Safe to say he charmed me and I fell in love. I moved in with him late last year after my mum kicked me out for my step dad and at first it was OK.

After a couple of months, he changed and became angrier and more argumentative (beforehand we never argued much and even if we did it never progressed into name calling or shouting and it was always over silly stuff).

His mum (who we live with) is a nice but sometimes difficult woman and she suggested his sudden mood change was because he failed his part time degree modules and he is having a hard time.

He was (and still is) resitting lessons and would always come out angry and upset no matter what I tried and he would say everyone cheated and no one deserves their grades but him and he would say the most hurtful things to myself and about others.

I came from a household where I feared my stepfather and his constant mood swings and I learnt to read his mood and adapt. So I naturally applied that to my bf and apparently that worsened his mood and is the reason why he goes on about his problems and is still so hateful.

Apparently for him to get better I need to change first

Now onto the financial problems… we are full-time students, his mother sends money to his bank account because my account was hacked into and had money stolen out of it before so I don’t use it.

(For context, when I arrived to his house I had barely any clothes or belongings so I’m slowly buying back a few things ever so often.) I brought some new clothes from a website and I had them discounted quite heavily as I try to spend less when I can

But he’s saving for a ps5 and we agreed that any money I don’t use he can put towards his new console.

He found out I had used his card to buy a few things and went berserk on me and told me I need to ask before I can spend and use his card (keep in mind I barely buy things) and last week I had to buy new shoes and he keeps lording over me saying things like “we can’t buy food now” or “I would be able to afford a ps5 by now if u didn’t buy a new pair of shoes”.

I only brought these shoe cuz I only owned 1 pair and they only cost $20. But he can buy coffee and snacks everyday :/. I’m not even allowed to buy my little brother a birthday present, he’s turning 13. (My bf also has a weird sort of hatred towards my little brother as well).

I’ve offered and tried to look for a job but he keeps discouraging it saying how I was depressed in my last job (which was true) or how ill get hit on by other guys.

I’m not sure what to do, my mum says I should leave or at least get into student accommodation and I asked my bf about this and he just said “well my mum plans to move us to a different house and that could be anywhere! So I’ll never see u again.” I’m scared and I love him. I don’t want to break up :'( Thanks for reading!

FAMILY “ATTACKED” BY NEIGHBOURS WHO WATCHES THEM & SPRAYS SANITIZER AT THEM

0

I have been staying in my estate for about 4 years. Ever since I moved in, I’m not sure for any reason my neighbour living opposite me who is in her late 60-70s has the habit of ‘watching/spying?’ over us every single time we open our doors to throw the rubbish in the rubbish chute (we live in hdb) or leaving our house..?

I’m not sure if this is normal. There have been many times even up till now when we are leaving our house and our neighbour will start spraying insect spray/sanitizer spray (the smell is so overwhelming to the point that we cannot stand the stench/start coughing etc).

There were also instances where she would verbally call us words/names like ‘wicked/evil’ and the thing is that we have never associated with her before.

Additionally, she lives with her sister whom is not mentally stable (just to provide some context ) and the sister herself also calls us Hokkien vulgarities but we decided to brush it aside because we understand that she’s living alone with her sister with barely any relatives and we did not want to cause a din.

Hence, we actually consulted grass root leaders to assist us/residential leaders but the situation still persists.

There was once we made a police report and after gathering information from the police, we understand that the neighbour will stop harassing us. But such harassment kept persisting.

She also adds on how previous neighbour (who stayed in my apartment before I was the owner of the house) would offer her sister biscuits and drinks (the sister does not have a key or smth, so she would wait outside the house) while the neighbour herself was not home.

She said that we didn’t do like what the previous owner did. In my mind, (not that I’m mean or anything) I was just wondering are we obliged to do that? What should we do?

FYI. My unit is facing 2 units, one of it is the neighbour as mentioned earlier and the other unit is a group of friends/colleagues that are co-staying together.

From what I observed, they have never faced such treatment before, so I’m not sure why is it only my family facing such?
