I would like to share an experience I had with Lenskart with the general public.

The Optician prescribed the wrong prescription to my husband and caused his eyes to be contantly teary while wearing his new specs.

His eyes were under extreme Stress that the optician on his second visit advised him to not wear his spectacle for one day to let the eyes rest. On the third visit the optician manage to finally give correct prescription, that is when we realised there was huge discrepency from first prescription to the correct prescription. I wanted to provide feedback so I rang their customer service to with regards to the incorrect prescription and horrendous customer service experience, but before I could finish my sentence the Store Manager(Osman) at Junction 8 told me in a annoyed and impatient tone said “Listen,conversation is a two way communication!“

Obviously this further infuriated me and I asked to speak to his manager. His manager who is Business Support Manager(Desmond) then rang me. He told me the frame that my husband wanted is not available anymore and told me to browse the internet to find a new frame and to whatapp him with the one my husband wanted.

The feedback I wanted to provide are:

1. Store Manager(Osman)At Junction 8 who was rude.

2. A long-winded and cumbersome process which caused alot of confusion and availability of stock and delay in getting the glasses(2 mths after order was placed)

3. In the middle of placing final order as the initial glasses we wanted they dont have the stock any more)I was given a phone number via whatapp. When we send via Whatapp to place order the Business Support manager(Desmond) as per his request.It appears that the Business Support Manager(Desmond) mistook my husband Terence as his colleague and Desmond started bad mouth me with vulgarities and profanity as attached screenshot and deleted them after he realised he send whatapp messages to my husband.

I requested to speak to Desmond reporting manager, unfortunately another manager Lynne immediately rang me,she claims to be General manager she informed me that their business Whatapp number has been hacked. It was hacker who sent the messages.I told her to follow up on the case but I never hear anything back.

I followed up with Desmond, he said another operations manager Francis Low will ring me. Francis rang me but I was met with only laughter on his part. He only stopped after I informed him of the vulgarities sent to me.

And I asked him if someone send vulgarities is it a laughing matter?

Then he stopped laughing.

I spoke to few managers in Lenskart, from online manager to Store Manager and it seems everybody is a manager, I requested to speak to general manager as I am unhappy with how all the managers handled the situation until today they keep giving absurd responses to my request. Every time they apologised but in the end I met another ridiculous situation with them.

I wanted to speak to Lenskart general manager,who is Desmond reporting manager but until today no one responded to my email as attached email screenshot.

Spectacles are important for many that do not have good vision. One would normally pay for a pair that is comfortable as no one really like wearing spectacles the whole day.

A woman posted in the Facebook group, Complaint Singapore that she had paid over $2,000 for a pair of spectacles she got from eyecare Studio at Jurong Point.

Somehow the price of the product did not measure up to the comfort level of the wearer. She posted with photos that showed red swelling at the back of her ears and she complained that the temple area of her face was also experiencing redness.

Here is what she said:

“I bought a pair of spectacle from eye care studio at Jurong point ($2000.00)
It caused redness and pain on my ear and temple. They adjusted the frame about ten times yet the pain remains.

I have since bought another pair from a different shop.

9 September 2021 @935am. Near Blk 442 Clementi Ave 3. Saw this elderly man searching for cans at rubbish bin.

Next moment I saw him taking a pack of discarded bread inside the bin into his clean plastic bag. I tried to stop him but he ignored me. I gave him some money before I left. I saw an Indian lalamove driver also gave him some money.

Those whom staying nearby there, pls help him if u see him.

THIS COMPANY IS CHEATING MY MONEY! It is OUTRAGEOUS!!

During sales, everything was normal and we made the full payment for our mattress & storage bed. On the day of delivery, no news from TMS. While frantically trying to contact Ronnie regarding my delivery but to no avail, i checked their fb page and read the posts by ronnie and the management. To my horror the company seems to be facing issues to fulfill the orders/deliveries but did not inform me regarding the delay in delivering of my bed or any refunds to be given back to us since they are unable to fulfil the deliveries.

After reaching out to their salesperson, Tricia, i found out she left the company in end june. But sold the bed to me on 27/6/21 (why did she continue to sell to new customers if ur company is facing issues fulfilling the orders/backlogs?! Her reply was: we have investors who out last mth in june – i dont fully understand what she meant, either her investors left or last min did not invest idk but whatever it is, i just want my bed as ive paid for it). I managed to get hold of their director Ms wong’s contact and have been liasing with her.

Its really horrible that all she can reply to me is “i will check” which she is obviously just dragging with no proper service recovery on her end. When I told her to process refund since ur company is unable to fulfill my bed delivery. She bluntly told me “i will not be doing any refund”  SO U TOOK OUR HARD-EARNED MONEY but u are not going to deliver the bed as agreed in the invoice and u dont want to refund me. What is going on?? Also, my husband went to their physical shop but its closed and the shop is quite empty. Theres no one to assist on the issue other than the director (shes very unresponsive) bcuz everyone is no longer with the company 

I have made a police report bcuz this is a scam and cheating company. The company has zero interest in refunding or delivering the goods to us. There is no reason to take customer’s money but doesnt deliver our goods to us. This is very unethical!!

A 42-year-old man has been detained for his alleged participation in two incidents of modesty outrage.

On the 30th of July 2021 and the 8th of August 2021, the Police received two distinct allegations from two victims alleging that they were molested by an unknown guy while riding a bus in the Tampines area.

Officers from the Public Transport Security Command and the Woodlands Police Division determined the man’s identify and detained him on September 7, 2021, after conducting more investigations and using pictures from police cameras.

On September 9, 2021, the guy will be charged with two charges of outrage of modesty under Section 354(1) of the Penal Code.

The offence has a maximum sentence of two years in jail, a fine, caning, or any combination of these penalties.

A 27-year-old guy has been detained for his alleged participation in a case of escape from a roadblock and car theft.

Officers from Clementi Police Division were executing a roadblock along Holland Road at approximately 1.35 a.m. on September 6, 2021, and had requested the rider of a motorbike to halt for traffic checks. The cyclist reportedly did not come to a complete stop and sped away.

Officers from the Clementi Police Division identified the cyclist and detained him on September 7, 2021, based on ground investigations and photos from CCTV and police cameras. He is also suspected of being engaged in a later crime of theft from another car on the same day, according to preliminary investigations.

On September 9, 2021, the guy will face charges of evading a roadblock under Section 26(2) of the Police Force Act and stealing under Section 379 of the Penal Code.

A person guilty of evading a roadblock faces a fine of up to $5,000, a term of imprisonment of up to 12 months, or both. Theft can result in a sentence of up to three years in jail, a fine, or both.
