The biggest seafood market in Singapore is set to resume operations tonight. After an intense battle against the spread of COVID-19, The Singapore Food Agency said that operations will resume on Aug 2.
SFA said on Facebook (Aug 1):
Jurong Fishery Port (JFP) reopened yesterday and tenants are making arrangements to resume wholesale market operations on 2 Aug.
Two rounds of deep cleaning of the entire JFP site had been done prior to the reopening on 31 Jul.
We also briefed the tenants today on JFP’s enhanced safe management measures (SMMs) and we are heartened that they all understood the need for the enhanced measures so that JFP can continue to operate smoothly.
As tenants and trade visitors adapt and adjust to the enhanced SMMs, there may be initial issues and delays and we will work closely with trade associations, tenants and workers to review and finetune the processes where necessary. Together with the industry, we will continue working hard to ensure a resilient supply of food for all!Â

This year’s parade might have been postponed but that did not stop many Singaporeans from all walks of life raving away to this year’s NDP theme song “The Road Ahead” on TikTok.
These videos were done as part of the NDP 2021 Virtual Choir and Dance.
It is always nice to see Singaporeans being patriotic, especially in times like these where we are fighting a pandemic.
Check out the video below to watch the raves by the different Singaporean Tiktokers and their buddies.

Does the above image look familiar to you? Do you remember what it is?
If it does not bring back any memories to you, then you’re probably too young to even smoke legally in Singapore.
For those that do not know what this is, this is known as a pager. It was the in thing back then and you can actually use this device to beep someone up with a short message and get the person to call you back.
A recent image on facebook brings back certain childhood memories of the 80s and 90s when the pager was more commonly used.
The image also shows the codes we used back then to say certain things to the receiver.
Check out the image below and see if you can decipher any of the codes without looking at the answers.

A parody video has emerged on instagram where the girl excitedly tells her father that she has gotten $20 from the neighbour because she climbed his “tree.”
The dad then proceeds to educate the girl for being dumb because the man just wanted to see her panties.
The girl then replied the dad that the neighbour did not get to see because she was “smart” enough to do something before climbing.
Check out the video below to find out what is the “smart” thing that the girl did.
