According to the Government advisory, anyone who wishes to continue to exercise during the circuit breaker, they should do it alone or with members of their same household. In the process, they should observe that social distancing measures are in place.
On the 22 May 2020, a video of people participating in group exercises had been circulating on social media. The incident happened at Yishun Ring Road, in the early morning and most of the participants were elderly.
A warning had been issued by the Housing Development Board (HBD) to those participants involved.
HDB mentioned that they will continue to monitor the situation if the same thing happens again they will not hesitate to take further action against such behaviour.
To all netizens, kindly assist to inform those elderly at home not to gather for such activities during this period. This is for the sake of their safety and well being, as the elderly are more vulnerable to the COVID-19 virus.
A video circulating online shows a security guard displaying gangster like beahviour and scolding taxi drivers for causing a commotion at the taxi stand.
A car was clearly seen in the taxi lane and was blocking the taxis in from entering the taxi lane. The taxis behind were honking and shouting due to their frustration.
As a security guard, they should be the ones leading through example. Maintaining their cool should be one of their key instincts. There may be another reason for his fiery temper which was not known. But the fact is, every individual should be wearing their mask at all times.
According to the media release, a 20-year-old NSF was arrested on the 27 Feb 2020 at Harbourfront Centre after attempting to leave Singapore with his brother’s passport.
The 20-year-old, Lin Jin Wei was wanted after going AWOL from his national service duty on the 24 Oct 2019. On the day of his arrest, he had stolen his brother’s passport and bought a ferry ticket in an attempt to flee the country to Batam for his offence
He was caught after his fingerprint did not match the system records while going through the ‘Enhanced Immigration Automated Clearance System. The immigration officer was notified, he was unwilling to cooperate with the officer at that time. After being found that he was using someone else passport, he was handed over to the police.
Prior to the latest offence, he was already given 18-months probation for his involvement in driving without a licence. The prosecution requested Lin Jin Wei to go through an evaluation to determine if he should be given probation or to sent to Reformative Training Centre for his offences.
A Singaporean mother of 12 passed away due to cancer on May 19 five days before Hari Raya. She is survived by her 12 children, who range from one to 18 years old and her husband.
Facebook user Diana posted on Facebook on the current situation the family is facing.
The family lives in a two room flat. The father used to work as a security guard but he hasn’t been working for the past year as he has been taking care of his sickly wife. Diana also requested for contributions in form of money, milk formula, diapers and food.
Many Singaporeans have came forward to do their part to help this family. And has been a stream of people making contributions to the family.
The father has thanked all Singaporeans for reaching out to help his family. In the video, he said “Thank you to all who have contributed through zakat (alms-giving), through monetary means or food as well as other necessities like diapers. You know who you are, thank you for everything.”
Visitation of friends, boyfriends or girlfriends is still not permitted. Currently, you are only allowed to visit your grandparents or parents if they are living elsewhere, or your parents-in-law and grandparents-in-law.
Each household can receive up to two visitors a day and the visitors must also be from the same household. Siblings are still not permitted to visit each other.
Senior Singaporeans should not be leaving their houses to visit family members as that may raise their risk of infection.
Exceptions can be made for seniors who do not have children, and appeals can be made to the Ministry of Health for siblings or niceness or nephews to visit.

However, from the video, the family will dress in sports attire and woman in the video were seen holding a water bottle. It seems like the family were on their way to get some exercise.
According to Minister Mr Lawerance Wong, all residents are required to wear a face mask when outsides of their residences. Some exceptions are given to those who were carrying out outdoor activities such as running or jogging. However, a mask must be put back on after the exercise is completed.
Young children below the age of 2 are exempted from wearing a mask based on the recommendation by medical experts due to safety reason for children at such a young age.
Anyone who were caught without wearing a mask will face a fine of $300 and $1,000 for repeats offender.
Police have arrested a 24 year old man for his alleged cheating of a 29 year old man.
On 20 May, police from the Bedok Police Division received a report of an internet love scam. A 29 year old male befriended and developed feelings for a scammer online. The victim believed that the scammer was a female.
The victim was eventually cheated of more than $8,000 for reasons such as repayment of loans ,medical fees and paying of parents debts.
In a day, the police managed to find out the identity of the scammer and he was arrested on May 21. He will be charged on May 23 for cheating.
According to the Ministry of Health, There were an additional of 614 new confirmed COVID-19 cases as of 22 May 2020, 12 pm.
There are 838 more COVID-19 patients reported discharged later that night. This brings the total no. of discharged patients to 12,955,

As of yesterday, 798 confirmed cases who are still in the hospital. Of these, most are stable or improving. 8 are in the critical intensive unit, 16,650 were isolated in the community care facilities. The total death remains at 23.
In March and April, President Halimah Yacob approved the amount of $21 billion to be drawn from the reserves to fund the government’s support packages. Till date the total amount take from the reserves to for support packages amounted to $63.7 billion.
Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat will be delivering a minsterial statement in Parliament on Tuesday (may 26) to outline a fourth round of support measures to help works and business who are unable to resume their activities after the circuit breaker period ends on June 1. This new package will require a further draw on the reserves.
Said Madam Halimah: “We will need to wait for the Budget that will be presented on Tuesday to see what the components are and how they will help Singaporeans, workers and companies.”
Said the President on Friday: “Our past reserves are important for us, but we also want to make sure that we can take care of this generation and the future generation.
“We can’t talk of a future generation, or even of a future, if we can’t take care of the situation now. Getting out of Covid-19 safely and, in the second stage (of reopening), making sure we grow, are very important.”
