A big question has been on my mind lately about bank loan…

Should I subject myself to being a ‘house slave’, which means working my a** off and reduce my quality of life just to afford a more expensive house by getting myself heavily indebt by getting a big bank loan, but the bank loan might be turned out as a likely a good investment 10-30yrs down the road. Let me reiterate MIGHT BE.

It is really worth it? My girlfriend wants to stay in a condominium as she felt that staying in a condominium makes her high-class. When she says something like that to me I feel like I should just call off the wedding.

I told her about the dangers of getting a huge bank loan but she said “it’s ok, as long as I look good”. Look Good? means other people look at you more important ah. So superficial.

If I sell my HDB, it would mean that I will be making a profit of around 150k cash after deducting the bank loans, fees etc. Due to personal reasons, I will not be able to purchase another HDB flat. Hence, a resale Condo is my only choice. But if I get married I will be eligible for an HDB.

While I personally love the lifestyle of living in a Condo and enjoying the facilities, I would lose the physical living space as it will be a lot smaller and not to mention a big big bank loan.

On top of that, I would have to fork out a lot more money for the monthly instalment(big fat bank loan). I will likely lose the luxury to travel comfortably every year (once everything settles) or splurge on expensive items/meals whenever I feel like it. I wouldn’t be able to save much and if I want more money I would have to find ways to earn it, which translates to working more & working harder.

So I am thinking is it better to get myself into a big debt by taking a huge loan or should I just get something cheaper and stop worrying about bank loans.

As things are getting more expensive now, having a good long-term investment also seems essential to a more stable and comfortable retirement. And of course, enjoying the daily comfort of life while I’m young enough since there is really nothing much to look forward to nowadays. I believe it’s all subjective, and there’s no right or wrong.

Just wanna hear other’s perspective and thoughts on this matter.

Are there any older siblings here that are scared of their younger siblings? I have this problem since childhood and it’s embarrassing.

My younger sister is very bossy since we were kids. She would boss me to do her stuff. Force me to play her dolls with her. When things don’t go her way, she would use her weapon – crying. Then eventually I have to give in.

But this is not the worst. When we were kids, she would slap my c**k with her hands when she doesn’t get what she want. NO JOKE! She literally slaps my d**k with her hands. It’s freaking me out.

Since childhood, even until today, whenever she can’t find her belongs in her own room, she would come to my room and start rampaging through my stuff without asking me. I tried doing it back to her, she hits my c**k. Only she can be unreasonable to others.

She also created certain rules at home that if I don’t follow I would get an earful from her. It’s funny because the rules don’t really apply to her. So end up I had to maintain something that was created by her.

I get scolded when the housework is not done properly or when I don’t help my parents enough. I’m trying my best. I have my own commitments to juggle. You think I so free? I’m not a robot leh.

Until today, whenever she criticise me or scold me, I will feel my body trembling. Its embarrassing. I’m such a pussy.

It is a spoofed number of the original phone number owner Spoof number = someone using another person phone number as a cover.

The man claimed to be from Amazon but he called using a mobile number, the scammer then bodoh bodoh on video call later people see his face.

This is a new scam nowadays. Amazon. Last time it used to be “singtel technician” says someone trying to hack into your network. Now it’s amazon.

[UPDATE: I have made a police report. “Kate” is still not interested in any compensation, save for to go their recommended workshop “which will be done up to my satisfaction”. I would not want to take that risk.

I went do a car coating on 19 September 2021. Happily collected my car and went home. Life goes on as per usual.

On Tuesday 21 September, at 430pm. I went down to the carpark to drive the car out. I then saw a flyer stuck on my newly coated paint. It was a flyer for car sales “Kate” and ” Yoong Ming”. I peeled off the flyer and to my horror, the plastic parts of the flyer had already melted and stuck onto the paintwork. Water did not help at all and my Coating shop said that have to redo the panel at a small cost.

I contacted “Kate” who did not want to compensate me for the repairs but instead out of goodwill; recommended me a shop at Turf City where they will repair for me to its “original condition”, and it will just be a 10minute easy job, as said by “Kate”.

I went on to check my neighbour’s cars and wow. The flyers are all stuck on the paintwork as well. Is this on purpose? New method of marketing is to damage the paintwork?

Would this work? Any bros can advise? My concern is that the recommended shop can’t fully repair the coating as the products used will be different and workmanship is also different. What if the coating is further worsened and I have to fork out more money to repair. I am thinking of making a police report.

NEA replied that they will took him into court after taking my statement, but till date, there wasn’t any updates nor actions taken. Reported him again, but West Coast Town Council will continue to put up notice about spitting, NEA will only advice on the spitting.Now knowing there’s someone watching, he will spit behind the camera more often.

On recent event, a neighbour few units away contracted Covid19. And he spits more often.On top of it, knowing there’s nothing we can do to him, he continues to expose himself even more!and we have teenage girls living around the vicinity.

NEA nor TC are willing to take real actions yet.

A photo emerged online showing a YP in possession of and wielding a karambit knife.

He was seen wearing a Whitley Secondary School PE T-shirt, wielding the karambit knife and posing for a photo.

The karambit knife has an infamous reputation in Singapore because it was the weapon allegedly used in the Orchard Towers murder in 2019.

It is a concealed curved blade that originated from Indonesia.

Although the sale of the karambit knife is not prohibited in Singapore, anyone who is found with the weapon in a public setting without a lawful purpose is liable to be charged with possession of an offensive weapon.
