With the new restrictions kicking in today (19 July), following the emergence of the KTV cluster and the tightening of restrictions for the nightlife and F&B industry, partygoers have been looking for alternatives.
A video emerged online showing a group of ang mohs partying and drinking inside a party bus.
Advisories from two schools were published and send to parents after a student at Yangzheng Primary school and a student from Opera Estate Primary school was found positive for Covid-19.

Instagram user @anotherbel, posted a TikTok video where she poked fun at the Thais and Vietnamese following the emergence of the KTV cluster,
She was also seen in a separate video where she laughed off the hate comments that came her way following the intense backlash that she received for her video, challenging netizens to come and “piak” her on Instagram.
She has since come out with an apology video, to publicly apologise for her video.
She admitted that she was very naive in not knowing the meaning of “siam diu”, and accepted that it was different from KTV.
She captioned her apology video:
“I’m sorry
Hi everybody, I want to address the issue of the video I posted on 16 July 2021. I apologise for hurting or causing any disdain among nationalities, and I would like to clarify that my choice of words do not represent Singapore’s views.
My sole intention was to bring laughter to the community in light of the pandemic, however I understand that my choice of topic was wildly insensitive and inappropriate.
I am very sorry, and I will strive to be better in the future.”
At the time of writing, the video in question is still visible on her profile, and she has clarified that she does not believe in “hiding (her) mistakes and pretending they didn’t happen”.
Previously a photo of a man getting escorted out of The Criterion by personnel dressed in safety wear went viral after netizens said that the man was escorted to quarantine after he allegedly visited KTV.
According to an advisory to the condominium has been sending out to the residents stating that there is a confirmed case in one of the blocks.
Among the cases reported on July 18, fishmongers who visited Jurong Fishery Port has became another cluster that is affecting Singapore.
It was previously reported that 11 markets were affected and yesterday (July 18) MOH added 3 more locations to the list
Haig Road Market and Cooked Food Centre
Jurong Central Plaza
Shunfu Mart
MOH is closely monitoring the situation and taking action to quickly contain and manage the cases, including contact tracing, quarantine and aggressive testing.
To better enable contact tracing to ringfence cases, from 19 July, the National Environment Agency and Town Councils will be progressively implementing access control with interim fencing and mandatory SafeEntry check-in at markets where COVID-19 cases have been detected amongst stallholders or stall assistants.
All visitors to the affected premises are advised to monitor their health closely, and minimise social interactions as far as possible, for 14 days from their date of visit or interaction.
